'And much of that job growth represents a rebound from the recession, not a sustainable trend. '

But Trump is going to make it into a sustainable trend. All these "experts" are the same ones who said the British people would never vote for Brexit, that "globaliation cannot be stopped" and that "Trump would never get elected". It's a new world, they were all wrong and they are wrong about jobs and Trump too.

The world has changed so fast that even the elite's favourite servant, Tony Blair, has said he "no longer understands what is happening in politics". The man has gone to pot, which can be confirmed by taking just one look at him.

I think it's also because France has a 35 hr week & more holiday.

Alyosha · 06/12/2016 15:22

You'll need to increase manufacturing jobs a lot more than 5% a year...

45% price hike for American customers...how will they be able to afford clothes, food etc?!

Especially the food - no more low cost migrant Labour to pick fresh produce.

Americans' disposable income wil crash.

Roussette · 06/12/2016 15:25

Tony Blair, has said he "no longer understands what is happening in politics"

claig I seriously might scream out loud if you type that out one more time. I CBA to do a search but it wouldn't surprise me if you were in to double figures!

claig · 06/12/2016 15:31

'Americans' disposable income wil crash.'

This sounds like the latest thinking out of the "brains" at the Tony Blair Destitute. Trump is one of America's top businessmen, with top economic advisers, he calls the likes of Blair and his teenage coterie of whizzkids "dummies" to be polite to them. Why on earth would Trump enact a policy that would make Americans' disposable incomes crash?

The teams at the BBC and in the media told their viewers that the stock market would crash if Trump got in.

Obama is shown in the following video saying about Trump

"Wh-Wh-Wh-What magic wand has he got?" "H-H-How is he going to do this deal?"

Watch the video to see what happened

'Tony Blair, has said he "no longer understands what is happening in politics"

Roussette, I think it is important to point out that Blair is clueless in case anyone falls for any of his hand gestures, teenage scribbler speeches and snake oil because the elites have threatened us with his return after we voted for Brexit.

You'll have to ask yourself that at some point.

SouthallGirl · 06/12/2016 15:49

claig - Just watched that Trump "dummies" vid. Excellent. He speaks from a perspective that I havent heard any politician do. He speaks like a businessman who knows that his own senior executives and VPs can't cut it, they are not razor-sharp and will have to up their game.

claig · 06/12/2016 15:50

"Manufacturing Jobs Are Never Coming Back "

This is the same media outfit that said that Trump "will never be President" isn't it?

Manufacturing jobs are coming back for America because Trump defeated the entire Establishment, all the lobbyists and all the world leaders.

OP posts:
Alyosha · 06/12/2016 15:51

Because Trump is a man of low-middling intelligence, who doesn't understand the consequences of his actions.

claig · 06/12/2016 15:53

'He speaks from a perspective that I havent heard any politician do'

Exactly, Southall. That is why I loved his rallies and his speeches and interviews. He is not like the rest of them, the exact opposite of Blair and those fools and all their scripted spin. Trump is real, that is why all their whizzkids, all their BBCs and CNNs and all the world leaders will never beat him.

claig · 06/12/2016 15:57

'Because Trump is a man of low-middling intelligence, who doesn't understand the consequences of his actions.'

That must be why he pulled off the biggest shock in the US's 240 year history and defeated the entire Etablishment, all the world's media, Wall Street, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and every luvvie, every puppet on earth and all the rigged polls to become President.

Here's Soros' website "The Open Society". Interestingly, HQ is here on the Millbank.

Alyosha · 06/12/2016 16:24

No, 538 is one of the few sites who said that Trump had a very real shot at the presidency and gave him the best odds.

Manufacturing jobs are not a function of Elites, the Establishment, or whatever else.

They are a function of how much money it costs to produce goods profitably.

It is now more profitable for some companies to manufacture in the US than China, but they employ very few people. That's why they can afford to manufacture in the US and not in China.

Alyosha · 06/12/2016 16:25

Well he still had 2 million votes less than Clinton.

Even people of low-middling intelligence get lucky now and then.

Kaija · 06/12/2016 17:06

2.64 million

claig · 06/12/2016 17:18

New compooter is going back. Don't like it Sad

OP posts:
SouthallGirl · 06/12/2016 17:19

2.64 m - then it's time to reorganise the electoral college, not bang on and on about this result. I doubt that this is the first time the guy with fewer votes won an election.

SouthallGirl · 06/12/2016 17:20

Oh really Claig. Why not?

Roussette · 06/12/2016 17:20

Don't blame you, claig. It keeps repeating itself. Grin

claig · 06/12/2016 17:23

'Don't blame you, claig. It keeps repeating itself.'

Grin

'Oh really Claig. Why not?'

Glossy screen. Didn't read the fine print, too much glare, also too slow, crashes, locks up too often. Need a supercomputer, not a sloth. Sad

OP posts:
Alyosha · 06/12/2016 17:24

I think it's the first time the guy with 2.64 million fewer votes has prevailed.

claig · 06/12/2016 17:26

'I think it's the first time the guy with 2.64 million fewer votes has prevailed.'

Trump pointed out to the media that if illegal voters had been excluded, Trump would have easily won the popular vote too.

"Trump pointed out to the media that if illegal voters had been excluded, Trump would have easily won the popular vote too."

Any evidence?
