...Who are Arses to pretend that they spoke with one voice in June 2016, that they all wanted the same thing and voters all voted for the same version of Brexit. It's was Bleeding Obvious that the official Leave campaign had a wide range of views what Brexit should be, and voters equally decided their vote for diverse reasons, anything but knowing precisely what they would get.

(Just listening to some ArseHat politician on Piennar's Politics, argh!!)

OP posts:

Tryingtosaveup prices going up may be acceptable for you, but isn't 'fine' for people who don't have money to spare.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 17/12/2016 04:12

The bit that irks me the most is the way that the Brexshitters Brexiters pretend that they would have acted so reasonable had they lost, can u imagine how that had gone Hmm

Manumission · 17/12/2016 04:26

"ReasonabLY" and "you" just if you're hoping to pull off daft puns too.

Why are you and OP discussing millions of people as though they were a homogeneous mass with a spokesperson? I'd have thought they (Brexiters) were a more diverse group than the remainers.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 17/12/2016 07:07

Manumission as far as I know a remoaner hasnt gone out and killed anyone, and I doubt that piece of shit thomas mair was a remainer.

dynevoran · 17/12/2016 07:26

Trying to save up will have to save up for much longer when we actually leave and it all gets more expensive.

Manumission · 17/12/2016 07:50

just you are being ridiculous if you honestly think holding nurderers up as representative of political movements makes sense.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/12/2016 05:56

Right, so Brexiters on this thread have voted to make themselves poorer. Bravo. Hmm

lovelearning · 18/12/2016 06:35

The Brexit train hasn't left the station. It's stuck at the platform with a broken engine and the driver's blaming the passengers.

The Prime Minister has a democratic mandate to leave the EU.

Article 50 is a red herring.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/12/2016 06:51

The Prime Minister has a democratic mandate to leave the EU.

Sigh. Referendum was advisory.

Article 50 is a red herring.

No it isn't. A50 is very real and the EU won't play ball until it is triggered.

eurochick · 18/12/2016 06:58

What does "article 50 is a red herring" even mean? It's part of an international treaty the uk signed.

Who the hell is anyone to say "cost of living goes up - fine"?

There are many many many people for whom this rise in costs would be disastrous.

Nobody voted for that.

Oh but it's fine.

Turnip heads.

larrygrylls · 18/12/2016 07:45

Firstly, stabby is not English. Secondly, does it mean you actually want to stab someone who voted for Brexit?!

Voyage,

I don't really believe your computer equipment is 10-20% up since Brexit. What is it? Discussions should be based on fact, not hyperbole.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/12/2016 07:45

Nobody voted for that.

In fairness there were countless warnings about the dire consequences for the economy in the event of a Brexit vote. It was dismissed as project fear.

larrygrylls · 18/12/2016 07:46

Sally,

I guess you also believe that Greece, Italy and Spain deserve their disastrous youth unemployment for voting to join the Euro?

IamWendy · 18/12/2016 08:41

But the dire consequences were mostly utter bullshit! WW3??? Hasn't our economy already done far better that even the most generous predictions?
And to say ok, let's take a slight and temporary hit on cost of living in order to free ourselves from this sinking Goliath seems like common sense to me.
I get so sick of hearing yet more stupid decisions made in order to improve the immediate short term problems, like bringing in silly amounts of immigrants to pay for an ageing population, but not thinking that this vast influx of humanity will age too!!

It feels like we are putting borrowed bowls under the leaks in our roof, not buying any new bowls, and hoping our two sheets of kitchen roll will stop the overflow.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/12/2016 08:48

Nice hyperbole there Wendy.

The pound hit a 30 year low and cost of living is up. Both on the back of the referendum. We haven't even triggered A50 yet.

SaltyMyDear · 18/12/2016 08:53

But you didn't vote to reduce immigration- you voted to leave the EU.

Leaving the EU doesn't necessarily mean immigration will reduce.

winkywinkola · 18/12/2016 08:55

Who said anything about World War 3??

More leave bullshit.

But you will see the cost of living rise. Where people are already struggling. Especially struggling in Wales and Sunderland.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 18/12/2016 08:59

Isnt that what is boils down to though? Every time 1 of these brexit threads start the main focus is still immigration and how we cant 'fit' more people in, the vile breaking point poster still resonates with some xenophobes people, and even those that said theirs wasnt a vote about immigration they knew thats what they were voting for and it doesnt matter how you explain to them that any issue they have with immigration, unless it is purely xenophobic, can be explained away as previous governments lack of funding, no matter what colour the party.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/12/2016 09:03

I agree IamWendy Yes we voted to leave the EU because it was a decision put to us. The hope is that immigration will be reduced, although unfortunately we can do nothing about making that happen, other than trust the government - or parliament if the court case goes that way - to get the best deals or us - free movement restricted, good trade deals etc.

At this point in time leavers are powerless to do much and I don't know what remainers suggest we do?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/12/2016 09:14

I don't know what remainers suggest we do?

but surely as a leave voter you'd have some ideas about how things would pan out and some feasibility of a plan? I mean nobody would vote for a broad set of possibilities that had little chance of implementation in the cold light of day would they?

lovelearning · 18/12/2016 09:17

leavers are powerless to do much

There are millions of like-minded people.

How do we force the issue?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/12/2016 09:23

Why this insistance that leavers should have a 'plan'? Ghost. Of course we have an idea as individuals of how we would like it to pan out. But to have a plan that remainers shout out at us to explain? No, I don't think that leave voters need to detail a plan.

lovelearning I can't think of a way.

Kaija · 18/12/2016 09:26

Can anyone who is keen to reduce immigration give any specific examples of how it is affecting them personally? And suggest why immigration from outside the EU is almost at the same level as immigration from within the EU?

Then have a look at this uk population graph and consider getting some perspective.
