...Who are Arses to pretend that they spoke with one voice in June 2016, that they all wanted the same thing and voters all voted for the same version of Brexit. It's was Bleeding Obvious that the official Leave campaign had a wide range of views what Brexit should be, and voters equally decided their vote for diverse reasons, anything but knowing precisely what they would get.

(Just listening to some ArseHat politician on Piennar's Politics, argh!!)

You are right but it's s beautiful day outside and the Brexit train has left now. I just made the decision to let the news wash over me in recent times and in a lot happier for it.

lljkk · 04/12/2016 11:45

good point about the weather... must go enjoy :)

Spooky - I feel very stabby towards remainers who six months on are still crying and moaning and full of doom and gloom but hey ho life goes on. Oh and I recall you saying you voted for Clinton, guess it's not your year OP.

lljkk · 04/12/2016 13:44

Untrue if you're labelling me a moaner or doom-monger, Rorty.
I hate lies, rewriting history... it's a lie for Leavers to say they all spoke with one voice about what Leave meant.

Most the things I voted for this yr came good, btw, just not the big ones.

Thank fuck I'm not French as well, at least.

In some countries, they do stab people who are democratic. Maybe you should move there? Smile

Chris1234567890 · 04/12/2016 23:23

If youre talking single market..... clearly its the remainers who werent paying attention.

....and theres masses more from all leading remain advocates.

Chris1234567890 · 04/12/2016 23:41

Lets be clear........ if you cant rely on the PM of the day spelling it out, who did you rely on?

Honeydragon · 04/12/2016 23:46

Thinking of Jo Cox this really isn't a nice title Sad

GraceGrape · 04/12/2016 23:51

Well, if you're talking single market, there is also plenty of evidence of Leave campaigners saying they want to be in it....

PausingFlatly · 04/12/2016 23:55

Yeah, agree with HoneyDragon here.

I know it's a well-established joke phrase on MN, but in this context not great.

Report and get title changed?

I've pretty much given up trying to reason with Brexiteer's since I'm hamstrung by the need to make sense.

WrongTrouser · 06/12/2016 17:47

Considering the amount of ill feeling the referendum has generated, and the division caused and unhealthily febrile atmosphere (not to mention the murder of Jo Cox) I think your post title is ill judged OP.

WrongTrouser · 06/12/2016 17:53

although I am enjoying your capitalisation of Bleeding Obvious..

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 06/12/2016 18:12

Perhaps a common phrase on MN is not best placed here, but I'm sure op only meant it in the way it's usually used here.

Re. Leavers: the funny thing is that half the time they'll tell you what a diverse bunch they are and how many reasons there were to vote leave! (They won't usually name one of those reasons). But now, yes, it's all WE SPOKE WITH ONE VOICE!

InfiniteSheldon · 09/12/2016 06:40

Leavers want to Leave the EU that's the one voice same as Remainers want to Remain pot and kettle OP. My ideal Brexit scenario will be different to yours and to many other Leavers, your now rejected version of Remain is different to that of many other Remainers and your title is abhorrent. Both sides need to stop with this name calling nastiness and sweeping statements like Seek above lumping all Leave voters into one homogenous mass than accusing them of being one homogenous mass is so ironic it's laughable.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 10/12/2016 16:41

voyage

I will put money on them not having the balls if it goes tits up

In their defence i think it will kill some remainers to say everything is ok

Smile
Tryingtosaveup · 16/12/2016 17:33

I voted Leave. My reason for doing so was to leave the EU. Simple.
I want to reduce immigration.
If we leave the single market ; fine.
If prices go up; fine.
As long as we leave. Quickly.

niceguy2 · 16/12/2016 19:44

Is that at any cost Tryingtosave?

Because right now many things have gone up due to the pound's fall. I know much of the equipment and services my business needs have gone up 20%. Obviously lots of other companies like Tesco et al will need to do the same next year.

The irony is that this will hurt those who can least afford it the most. We are lucky enough to have a decent income so we can easily tighten our belts a little bit and it's really the difference between a couple of takeaways a month. No biggie.

But those on the lowest income are the ones who will suffer the most.

I just don't get the vehement dislike of immigration when all objective evidence is that it's a net benefit to our society.

Ironically it seems those areas with the highest concentration of immigration like London are happy with it. It's the predominantly white areas which seems to be up in arms about it the most.

albertcampionscat · 16/12/2016 19:46

The Brexit train hasn't left the station. It's stuck at the platform with a broken engine and the driver's blaming the passengers.

Castelnaumansions · 16/12/2016 20:25

And tickets cost £50bn.

InfiniteSheldon · 16/12/2016 20:36

Worth every penny. That bit of extortion sums up everything wrong with the EU.

It's not extortion. It's paying what we owe.

albertcampionscat · 16/12/2016 20:52

Remainers voted to accept the messy, imperfect reality. Leavers voted for fifty different flavours of pie in the sky.
