Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

Once a leak happens those terriers on reddit get their teeth straight into it... Then tweet, facebook etc to get the news out.

You can follow the whole thing if you're a saddo like me. :)

claig · 07/11/2016 01:56

Thanks, yes reddit are good. Someone on here recommended that to me, but I don't check it often enough.

How is UKIP going now? Who are you for for leadership?

OP posts:
Spinflight · 07/11/2016 01:59

Yes but Reagan was a bad actor with few ideas. I mean come on he is widely admired now however his image during that election was.... well summed up by the fact that he couldn't beat a peanut farmer who let Iran teabag the USA.

Don't think he was an instant hit once elected. Reaganomics was a standing joke of the usual haughty types. It was only when people realised they were richer that Reagan became popular.

claig · 07/11/2016 02:01

'It was only when people realised they were richer that Reagan became popular.'

Yes. I don't know enough about that period. From what I have heard of Roger Stone and Trump, they all like Reagan and Trump says he is his favourite President of recent times. Bought a book on Reagan, but never got around to reading it.

OP posts:
Spinflight · 07/11/2016 02:11

I haven't been part of UKIP for some years now so don't have a dog in the fight - small disagreement over whether someone with their own account on the BNP website was appropriate to pass vetting.

Saying that Lisa Duffy is a good lass, not sure anyone could herd that flock of cats ( even Farage needed several electrified cattleprods) but she's a good honest type who should do well.

claig · 07/11/2016 02:14

She's not standing this time. She was OK but too politically correct for me, backs the BBC's favourite Suzanne Evans. I used to like Paul Nuttall until I found out he didn't have the bottle to back Trump. I am back to the Tories. I like Theresa May.

My favourite story about Reagan pretty much sums him up.

His staffers and intel wonks were trying to impress upon him how important sea lanes were and prepared all sorts of essays and historic presentations.

Reagan fell asleep though woke up to a slide of communist influenced coastlines coloured red and western ones coloured blue. Reagan pointed to the Caribbean, northern S America area ( which was a sea of red) and said turn it blue, then walked out.

And that was the instigation behind the various coups, invasions and whatnot through the 80s and 90s. He wasn't big on details shall we say. :)

claig · 07/11/2016 02:21

'He wasn't big on details shall we say.'

Sounds just like Trump Smile

OP posts:
Spinflight · 07/11/2016 02:25

Possibly, though I think Trump really gets into the details of things he enjoys.

Still Reagan's style of giving clear and simple policy direction worked wonders. He didn't meddle, he just told people what he wanted to see. I want a 500 ship Navy.... Not build 3 aircraft carriers, 17 Ca's etc.

Obama is a meddler and a ditherer, no-one in the higher echelons of the US government is going to be sad to see him leave.

fourmummy · 07/11/2016 06:51

Reagan of course won a landslide unprecedented in American history as I think will Trump.

I increased my bet last night Grin. The FBI thing won't make a jot of difference. We all know what she's done with or without this.

Spinflight · 07/11/2016 07:10

Well yeah... Doesn't take a genius to see that repeatedly getting your maid to print out top secret material is a security breach.

Which doesn't speak too highly for the FBI.....

There'll be some heavy repercussions over this as that particular agency takes it's reputation very seriously. Maybe the political appointments at the top aren't exactly enshrining that principle but my guess would be that the rank and file will be livid and out to restore it.

Twitter and Wikileaks both coming under some pretty heavy denial of service attacks. Which smacks of pretty severe desperation.

fourmummy · 07/11/2016 07:43

Spinflight - exactly. The only agency to come out of this smelling bad is the FBI. Clinton was already a corrupt known quantity so last night makes no difference to her status. Makes no difference to Trump either because he hasn't changed his narrative. It's all pretty easy to ignore because it's obvious that the FBI is being played here.

claig · 07/11/2016 07:59

'I increased my bet last night'

Good luck, fourmummy

General Mike Flynn fighting to the end

retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn detailed how she broke the law with her illicit, home-brew email server.

“It was a violation of the law. It’s not just violation of State Department guidelines,” Flynn told SiriusXM host Matthew Boyle. “Let’s forget about the pedophilia, let’s forget about the Clinton Foundation for a second and let’s focus on Hillary Clinton’s grave risk that she’s placed our country at by using a private server to do business at the most sensitive levels of our government.”

“That’s beyond [just against] State Department policy. That’s a criminal act,” he added. “I have been part of investigations where people have spied on our country or done espionage been used to extort information for purposes of damaging our country. That’s what Hillary Clinton has done. This is beyond violating State Department policy. If that’s all it was, I wouldn’t be sitting here today. This is an unbelievable active criminal behavior.”

Flynn said that the media is covering up Clinton’s alleged crimes:

People need to know what this is and so the mainstream media—all of the media, basically 99 percent of the media—doesn’t even bother with it anymore. Nobody even covers it anymore. This is dangerous for our country and then you throw in all this stuff from this past week—you have this case against Anthony Weiner and he’s directly tied to Hillary Clinton. He’s under multiple investigations. Then you have the Clinton Foundation, which is under multiple investigations by the FBI, and not just one but multiple. You have the reopening of the national security investigation by the FBI directly against Hillary Clinton, that’s another one that’s open. So I mean we are stupid people, we are stupid people in this country is we elect Hillary Clinton to be our next president because we’re going to have nothing but scandal and dark cloud scandal over our country for the next four years and we cannot afford it with all the problems we face in this country and all the problems we face around the world. What we need is we need to drain the damn swamp. "

Has someone tried to hobble Trump by stopping him from using twitter? Has someone forgot that the key to victory is "Let Trump be Trump?"

Are the media, the elites and the stars in heaven all alined against Trump?

What the flipping Dickens is going on?

Obama has stepped in and is taking cheap pops at Trump over this and is having a laugh at Trump.

Trump fans are gliued to Trump's twitter account, monitoring if these rumours are true. What else can they do?

This is a sacrilege!

"Speaking at a campaign rally for Hillary Clinton in Kissimmee, Florida, Sunday, Obama told the crowd about the alleged time-out enforced by campaign aides.

'In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control, they said: "We’re just going to take away his Twitter,"' he joked.

'Now, if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at three in the morning because "SNL" made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.'

Nice to see you joining the ranks of Hillary supporters, claig. Grin

I've been reading this by Scott Adams. It's quite funny, but not exactly how he intended it.
I particularly like how dangerous social drinkers are.

'Nice to see you joining the ranks of Hillary supporters, claig. grin'

No, I am Trump to the end, even if I have to go down with the ship. Freedom, liberty and the USA. Go Trumpsters! Go the Stump for Trump Sisters! The whole world is stumping for you on Tuesday. The people vs the elites Grin

Just reading that article by the great Scott Adams of Dilbert fame now

"Keep in mind that the strongest form of persuasion is fear. Clinton’s team of persuaders has convinced her followers that Trump is dangerous. If you remove that part of her spell, Trump wins. Here’s how."

Fear. Project Fear. The elites, the Oxbridge teams, the EU, Donald Tusk, Cameron, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and all the rest of them. "The end of Western Civilization", "Punishment Budgets" and preventing Trump's free speech by sending him to the sin bin and giving him a time-out on his Twitter account.

That is all they have got, that is all they ever had. Will we beat them, will the people see the truth? Will the Stump for Trump Sisters gather the masses and queue up at polling booths chanting "For England, Harry and St Trump"?

Not long to go to find out. Elites biting their nails, a sea of people in red shirts queuing at polling booths. Media convening about how they can all lie their way out of reporting the Red Sea of people from all over the United States voting for freedom. BBC in communication with CNN. Will the lies never end? Will the people be free? Not long now to see.

Queues of Trumpsters singing the Marseillaise, the Star Spangled Banner and the song called "The Trump Train". Masses now joining them from every corner of the USA, the people will have their say, a tremendous victory day.

Crowds singing the Deplorables Anthem taken from Les Miserables.

They called Trumpsters miserable, they said they were deplorable, as they planned how to make more of the people's wealth offshoreable

It ain't over till the orange man sings

"Do you hear the people sing?"

The people will have the last laugh.

It's pretty ironic if Trumpers are using "Do you hear the people sing" as an anthem given that the philosophy behind it is the reverse of what he believes. But I guess it's yet another indication of the general level of understanding exhibited by Trumpers.

claig · 07/11/2016 10:58

Who would a young Edith Piaf have stood with - Wall Street, the bankers, the global elites and the Saudis or with the Trumpsters and the Stump for Trump Sisters?

There is no doubt she would have worn a Trump badge with pride

Wow, the world map is almost all red. And as the blue bits, we will have to wait for Wikileaks to tell us if the polls were rigged in those parts, if there was "pay for play" involved and a worldwide global elite charidee floundation.

Edith Piaf: whose career and fame flourished during the German occupation of France. She performed in various nightclubs and brothels, which flourished during the occupation and which were reserved for German officers and collaborating Frenchmen.. She was invited to take part in a concert tour to Berlin, sponsored by the Germans.

Yes, I guess she might well have supported Trump.

claig · 07/11/2016 11:34

So here's what happened. Trump was working his butt off campagning for the Americn people rushing from venue to venue all over the United States to speak to the tens of thousands, and when he got to the venue, the elites informed him that "there would be no time for the National Anthem".

Well you can imagine what Trump told the elites. Some of it is unrepeatable on a polite forum, because if Trump is anything, he is not politically correct. But essentially, what he said to the elites was "Hell, no. Make time!" Make America Great Again!"

and the rest was history

Wow, that's a non-scientific online poll.
It's worth about the same as a Trump casino. Wink
