Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

"I think Florida is his..."

They are worried about what is happening in North Carolina. Trump behind.

I think Florida is his...

Sorry, that should have been Phew! I hope so!

'! I stand to make about £2,600 on that bet!'

Fingers crossed for you Smile

Jeez.... Trumps winning in Virginia.

That's unexpected. Was thought to be an almost sure democrat.

fourmummy · 09/11/2016 01:53

Trump is up 1.5% up in FL. Don't think they've finished counting yet.

claig · 09/11/2016 01:54

''! I stand to make about £2,600 on that bet!''

What betting site allowed per state betting? I will have to try it in 4 years' time - cash in on the knowledge Grin

Hi claig, the particular one that allowed us to do clear cut Democrat/Republican wins on a state-by-state basis was 888sport

Spinflight · 09/11/2016 01:57

Interesting, seems the Republican Senators who supported Trump are doing well, those who distanced themselves getting thrashed. Not enough to lose the it I don't think...

claig · 09/11/2016 01:59

Thanks, AgainPlease. That sounds great to be able to hone down to the state level. Hope you do great. Did you go for Hillary as the ultimate winner?

The Democrats are hoping that Broward County makes up the deficit ( over 100k), trouble is the early votes, which are already in, tend to favour the Democrats.

claig · 09/11/2016 02:05

Someone on Fox saying 69% Republicans hold the Senate and a better than even chance that Trump takes Florida

OP posts:
claig · 09/11/2016 02:07

69% chance that Republicans hold Senate

They think Trump won't hold on in Virginia because he will be swamped in North Virginia

But all of a sudden, Fox people sounding more optimistic "He is in this" Grin

"They think Trump won't hold on in Virginia because he will be swamped in North Virginia"

Not guaranteed, you often find that areas which are seen to be strong are neglected by the campaign.

claig · 09/11/2016 02:13

Good point. Hope so.

Hillary's chance of winning has just been downgraded to 63%!

Fruitboxjury · 09/11/2016 02:21

I can't believe this is happening, she could actually lose??

fourmummy · 09/11/2016 02:24

It went down to 57.9% a while ago...It's now at 54% as we speak.

LouisvilleLlama · 09/11/2016 02:25

I actually can't believe it Claig may have been right all this time and everyone doubted her/him

fourmummy · 09/11/2016 02:26

That says "Market Crashes As Traders Suddenly Worried Trump Can Win".

Spinflight · 09/11/2016 02:27

A Democrat saying they still expect to win the Senate... Must know something I don't.

Bear in mind that with Trump self funding and largely not really splashing the cash all the more traditional Republican money went into the Senate races.

AgainPlease · 09/11/2016 02:32

Claig, the odds on Hilary to be president wasn't worth the bet. I think it was something like 2/1 which are pretty shit odds if you're in it to make money.

We put big money on "whoever wins the popular vote, will lose the electoral vote". So we interpret that as Trump will most likely get the popular vote, but Clinton will get the electorate, and ultimately the presidency.

fourmummy · 09/11/2016 02:32

50:50 now. Down from 91% at her peak!

Fruitboxjury · 09/11/2016 02:35

Again how confident are you on that at the moment?

claig · 09/11/2016 02:37

'We put big money on "whoever wins the popular vote, will lose the electoral vote". So we interpret that as Trump will most likely get the popular vote, but Clinton will get the electorate, and ultimately the presidency.'

Yes, I think Trump will win the popular vote but maybe not the electoral one.

Roger Stone is not sounding particularly bullish. He says it is too early to tell yet.

Spinflight · 09/11/2016 02:44

Half a million votes left in FL and Trump is up by 150k.

Only reason I can imagine they haven't called it is the districts those votes are coming from...
