Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

"worth watching"

No... No it definitely wasn't. "Trump is a crazy person", to save anyone else the time.

fourmummy · 08/11/2016 20:13

Thinking further about Spinflight's post, I think that DT is almost unique in not seeming to have the need to seek approval from others around him. Not only is this unusual in a person but is actually an excellent leadership quality. Just about to settle in with my snacks and laptop. This is going to be hugely exciting.

Spinflight · 08/11/2016 20:25

He's certainly unusual in that. Years ago a journalist wrote a piece sharply critical of him and rather hesitantly had to contact him regarding another story. He was surprised to find that Trump loved the story and said everyone was talking about it. In fact I think it was the chap who ended up writing his best seller.

claig · 08/11/2016 20:26

fourmummy, you are right he is thick skinned in that nothing hurts him, he can take all their knocks, but he hits them back twice as hard if they attack him. He tweets at 3 am because they attacked him, but it doesn't bother him.

Roussette · 08/11/2016 20:31

My opinion spinflight my opinion... (the worth watching bit..) Sums it up nicely IMHO

Yeah it'll be great if (unlikely) the POTUS is tweeting his rage at 3am...

AlchemySchmidtsSmile · 08/11/2016 20:31

So, when will we know who's won then? DP reckons 5am UK time?

claig · 08/11/2016 20:33

'So, when will we know who's won then? DP reckons 5am UK time?'

Yes, they are saying near enough definitely by 4 am or 5 am. But if Trump loses Florida, it is probably all over. Not sure when that is announced.

OP posts:
Boosiehs · 08/11/2016 20:34

Of course it bothers him! Noone who issues as many frivolous law suits (see the NY Times a week or so ago) has a thick skin!

He still complains about the comic who said he had tiny hands. He is ridiculous.

My only hope is that the cheeto-dusted cat poo wearing spun caramel as hair is soundly beaten today. "fingers crossed"

Spinflight · 08/11/2016 20:41

"My opinion spinflight my opinion... (the worth watching bit..) Sums it up nicely IMHO"

Well if you think Trump is mad, bad, dangerous to know, not a nice person, or the secret love child of satan and Ghengis Khan then you should really try checking out the podesta emails regarding Hillary's character.

To say that none of her staffers, these are people who support her, have a good word to say about her would be the understatement of the year.

Other than them talking about giving her a staffer to beat up so she cheered up and sounded like a human being the funniest one was a long gushy and sycophantic email to Podesta from someone asking for advice on how to get onto her campaign team. I'll let you read his advice yourself. :)

'Noone who issues as many frivolous law suits (see the NY Times a week or so ago) has a thick skin!'

That is because Trump loves fighting. His motto is if they hit him, he hits them back twice as hard. That is why the elites are panicked, they know what is in store for them. Trump loves lawsuits, he brags that he has had more than nearly anyone else because he usually never backs down, he doubles down and then cuts a deal. He loves fighting and cutting deals.
.
' I will fight for you and I will win for you. I promise"'

'He still complains about the comic who said he had tiny hands. He is ridiculous.'

Absolutely, he bears grudges. He has a memory like an elephant. That is why anyone who ever crossed him is crossing ther fingers that the Establishment will beat him.

I've read and absorbed a lot on both candidates. Of course HC is not perfect. However, she is the lesser of two evils and hopefully she can see DT (too many words to begin to describe him) off.

Roussette · 08/11/2016 20:50

"That is because Trump loves fighting. His motto is if they hit him, he hits them back twice as hard"

Great assets on the world stage. Not.

No diplomacy, no measured steps, just hit them where it hurts. That'll go down well with Pooootin...

BigChocFrenzy · 08/11/2016 20:55

Claig Tomorrow evening I have 90 mins killer weightlifting and I'll drop the barbell on my nose if I stay up.

So, pretty please can you post the result in bold letters, say either
Clinton Trumped the bugger or
Trump wins - it's Claig wot dun it !

Your threads are much more entertaining than the Idiot Box Smile

and mention if anyone made a bigger

BigChocFrenzy · 08/11/2016 20:56

tit of themselves than usual

claig · 08/11/2016 20:57

'Great assets on the world stage. Not.'

Trump says wouldn't that be great for our country, not to be dummies any more. We're going to win, win , win. We're run by very very stupid people. The entire world will change if Trump wins. The political class has never seen anything the like of it.

'That'll go down well with Pooootin...'

Putin will respect Trump. He won't mess Trump about. Trump says Putin has zero respect for Obama.

Do you ever check your posts for basic consistency, claig?

Roussette · 08/11/2016 21:02

claig you honestly don't believe what he is saying in that clip surely. This is one man with an agenda, a man who will say anything to win, who will flip flop on everything.

claig · 08/11/2016 21:03

Your threads are much more entertaining than the Idiot Box Smile

Thanks, BigChoc. The politically correct mob don't like 'em, but "Sussex won't de druv" Smile

"please can you post the result in bold letters, say either
Clinton Trumped the bugger"

That is asking a lot. That is a step too far

I can post

'Clinton Trumped the better'

no more than that. Wink

OP posts:
claig · 08/11/2016 21:07

'a man who will say anything to win, who will flip flop on everything.'

Yes that is true but I do believe him when he says "we are run by very, very stupid people, very, very stupid people" because when I look at our political class of Oxbridge graduates, I think exactly the same.

I do believe Trump will change things. I believe that a faction within the US has put him up for that and it is not the very, very stupid Republican Party because everyone knows they are useless and stupid too, which is why Trump has zero respect for the entire basket of idiots.

OP posts:
Spinflight · 08/11/2016 21:08

Just to raise the tone of the debate from whether he is mad, evil or whatnot.

Trump is quite amusing. Means fart to me.

BigChocFrenzy · 08/11/2016 21:10

Thanks, Claig Smile

Wrt how Trump organised his campaign: I think he would have done better if he'd concentrated on signing up people to get out his own vote, rather than poll watchers looking out for furrin.

It's an unsexy part of an election, but phoning / texting / knocking on doors to remind your voters to get out and vote, providing transport for them if need be .... can help turnout quite a bit.
Especially if they are people who don't normally vote.

Spinflight · 08/11/2016 21:12

Trumps in the Oval Office..... Sounds like a health code violation to me.

BigChocFrenzy · 08/11/2016 21:13

I've read that he didn't create the usual size of organisation to get out his own vote, whereas Clinton does.

Spinflight · 08/11/2016 21:14

Trumps on TV.

What? Was he sitting on it?

claig · 08/11/2016 21:16

BigChoc, that would have meant spending money. Trump is not keen on overspending. The very, very stupid idiots and puppets in the Republican Party should have helped him more with a ground game. Trump says he will have ended up spending $100 million of his own money, but he thinks he can win without spending more and says that it is that type of thinking that the country needs rather than teh thinking of teh very, very stupid people.
