Oct 20th 2 am UK time.

Last chance for the Establishment to stop the Trump surge in the polls.
World leaders will be watching, Establishments will be tuning in on the edge of their seats in trepidation.

People will be laughing, diving into the popcorn and knocking back the alcohol.

Round 3. Rock'n'roll.

'So what do you think the map tells us?'

I don't believe the polls that the mainstream media are reporting.

OP posts:
claig · 17/10/2016 22:51

I didn't believe the Brexit poll on the eve of the vote where the Establishment reported that they were 10 points ahead of the people, and I was right, we the people beat the lot of them.

OP posts:
claig · 17/10/2016 22:52

There were tears in Number Ten, Keith Vaz was almost in tears on the BBC when they told him what the people had decided. We beat them all despite their polls and spin and tricks and threats.

African American Republicans

Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell would have been wonderful candidates - talented moderate conservatives - but they both decided over the years that they wouldn't have a chance in the current GOP.
Powell's wife was worried about his safety - from the far right wingnuts.

They are the 2 most recent Republican Secretaries of State, just before Clinton and their Emails have also been leaked, revealing v interesting opinions:

http://www.dailynewsbin.com/news/colin-powell-and-condoleezza-rice-think-benghazi-is-just-a-stupid-witch-hunt/26039/

"Benghazi is a stupid witch hunt"
"Agreed"

" Colin Powell^ considers^ Donald Trump to be a “racist” and a “national disgrace.”
Powell openly defended Obama against Trump’s racially motivated claims that Obama was born outside the United States.

BigChocFrenzy · 17/10/2016 23:07

The Brexit polls were neck and neck.
There was 1 freak poll, but I can't remember how it was carried out.
However, a series of professional polls, carried out by different firms, then averaged, should be within margin of error, which is +/- 3% for standard sample size.

We've been here before, with that Republican producing "unskewed" polls for the 2012 election.
That guy admits he was wrong and has refused to unskew polls this time.

Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:08

Claig it's a wonder you can get out of bed in the morning for not believing the floor will be there.

But of course it is a vital tool for any keen propagandist - nothing can be trusted, therefore the only "truth" is what gets repeated the loudest and the most often. Wouldn't you say?

claig · 17/10/2016 23:08

'Powell's wife was worried about his safety - from the far right wingnuts.'

Not Republican voters. far right Neo Nazis, they are not Republicans.

'"Benghazi is a stupid witch hunt"'

She is a Bush Establishmentarian. The Republican Party and Congress do not think it is a stupid withhunt when an American Ambassador and Americans died without receiving help from forces nearby.

' Colin Powell considers^ Donald Trump to be a “racist” and a^ “national disgrace.”'

And Dr Ben Carson and Dr Alveda King don't. Colin Powell believed the old "yellow cake" line.

'Powell openly defended Obama against Trump’s racially motivated claims that Obama was born outside the United States.'

It had nothing to do with race. It was about legitimacy just as when Trump said that Ted Cruz was a Canadian.

'therefore the only "truth" is what gets repeated the loudest and the most often. Wouldn't you say?'

No, which is why I don't believe the mainstream corporate Murdoch media.

You are much too modest, Claig, you are an expert exponent of post-truth political writing for social media. I can honestly say I haven't come across anyone as consistent or prolific in the field.

claig · 17/10/2016 23:17

'you are an expert exponent of post-truth political writing for social media.'

Thank you.

'I can honestly say I haven't come across anyone as consistent or prolific in the field.'

Have you not read any Blairites?

OP posts:
Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:24

No, I've never seen finer fascism on a parenting forum.

Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:26

Anyway, back to Trump:

The great scandal you've been waiting to break Clinton ?

It seems Trump has been waiting for the Russian Wikileaks - did they give him a heads up ? Hmm

However, Newsweek caught out Wikileaks in a faked BenghaI smear against Clinton:

http://europe.newsweek.com/vladimir-putin-sidney-blumenthal-hillary-clinton-donald-trump-benghazi-sputnik-508635?rm=euu_

"The Russians engage in a sloppy disinformation effort and, before the day is out, the Republican nominee for president is standing on a stage reciting the same manufactured story as truth.
Hmm
How did this happen? "

Who fed Trump campaign false allegations at the same time they were being advanced in a Russian disinformation campaign?
His pal Putin ?
HmmHmm
Trump is looking ever more sinister.

BigChocFrenzy · 17/10/2016 23:29

Benghazi

claig · 17/10/2016 23:31

You are a Blairite, you think any conservatives or populists are fascists. You are anti free speech and accuse anyone who disagrees with Blairism of being a fascist. Millions of Americans are voting for Trump, including the African American Stump for Trump Sisters, Dr Ben Carson, Dr Alveda King, police sheriff David Clarke, boxing promoter Don King, former black Presidential runner, Herman Cain, and black Trump spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson. None of them are fascists.

Unfortunately, the time for Blairites is over. Trump will win and reinstate some populist common sense along with free speech and liberty that the Blairites and Fabians will be unable to prevent despite their best efforts.

Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:34

See? More post-factual brilliance, just like that. If only some far right organisation could harness this power...

claig · 17/10/2016 23:34

'Trump is looking ever more sinister.'

To you, yes, but not to millions and millions of Americans like Don King, Dr Alveda King and the Stump for Trump Sisters.

OP posts:
Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:35

Ha, that's a good one. Here's that voting map again:

Trump vs Clinton Round 3. Probably the biggest debate ever.
claig · 17/10/2016 23:35

'More post-factual brilliance'

No, just the truth, something that a Blairite like you is unaccustomed to.

OP posts:
BigChocFrenzy · 17/10/2016 23:37

Me ? I was never a Blair supporter.

Bernie Sanders on Trump:
(Bernie is NOT the Establishment)
“I have been running all over this country for a year and a half talking about a corrupt tax system. And in one day, Donald Trump did more to explain the corrupt tax system to the American people than I did in a year and a half. Thank you, Donald,”
“What Donald said is, ‘Yeah, I’m a multibillionaire. I’ve got mansions all over the world. But you know what? I, a billionaire, don’t have to pay any taxes and I’m proud of it because you suckers are going to pay the taxes for me,’”

Kaija · 17/10/2016 23:37

It's not the truth. It's made up rubbish. But I am mildly titillated by being called a Blairite, so thanks for that.

claig · 17/10/2016 23:40

"Trump slams Blair for Iraq War 'disaster' and says Britain's leaders should stand up to US"

www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/trump-slams-blair-iraq-war-7986089

No wonder you don't like Trump.

OP posts:
claig · 17/10/2016 23:42

'But I am mildly titillated by being called a Blairite'

Well, you are clearly not a conservative of any description, and you are anti Corbyn, so I assume you must be a Blairite or someone who works for the Orifice of Tony Blair and are miffed that the people have moved on and laugh at him.

OP posts:
ZuleikaDobson · 17/10/2016 23:44

Claig, if you want to claim that Trump has a lot of support amongst black people, you really need to stop trotting out the same few names over and over again. It makes it only too clear that those are the only names you can find and therefore proves the point that the reality is that he has no appreciable black support.

claig · 17/10/2016 23:45

' It makes it only too clear that those are the only names you can find and therefore proves the point that the reality is that he has no appreciable black support.'

They are famous names that people may have heard of. Trump has lots of support from African-Americans who are not famous.
