The whole tone emanating from UKIP leaves a bad taste in my mouth, more so than other parties.

One of the benefits of "FIRST PAST THE POST"is that over the years it has stopped extreme parties getting,repersentation in parliment,and although it is "UNDEMOCRATIC IN PRINCIPLE" it has a least kept the EXTREME PARTIES OUT OF PARLIMENT.

What has this got to do with UKIP? In my view, absolutely nothing. There is nothing in UKIP's policies that even hints at anti semitism or racism or other bias. The bottom line for immigration is have you been here and contributed for 7 years or more, if not then you may have to tick some boxes or go home. Refugees will still have refugee status, etc etc et bloody cetera

Possibly not helped by a few silly policies/ideas on UKIPs behalf. Same sex marriage for example.

This seems like a sound policy, to claim fishing and mineral rights over that area, where it does not infringe other nations rights. We used to manage our fish stocks a damn sight better than the current system where the stocks are landed elsewhere (spain) and are not checked to the same level we check our landed stock in the UK.

jaywall this is how the discussion came to be centred around nazi Germany, no problem with this post. It was an insensitive comment by another poster which made most people angry, not even related to UKIP actually it was their personal take on something.

jaywall I feel no need to convince you, you have already given money to UKIP which is entirely your business and no-one else's. if you want to question me (and it is MY opinion not MN propaganda- odd thing to write, but anyway...) then read the policies. Although I get the feeling you already are either a member of UKIP or considering it.

jaywall, 200 nautical miles will take in (by eye, on google maps) most of the north coast of france, the belgian coast, some of the dutch coast and much of the irish coast as well.
