CUT & PASTE

Francis Maude, multi-millionaire ex-banker, took thousands of pounds from the public purse when he rented out the Westminster house he owns and bought another one a hundred yards away so that he could claim the mortgage payments on his MPs expenses and get everyone else to buy him another home to add to the four he already had.

That's how much this greedy despicable hypocrite cared about the deficit when he was sucking up public money for himself.
Then is wasn't so much Big Society as Pig Society, with piggy-eyed Francis Maude with his snout in the trough.

How was he punished for his greed? Cameron promoted him.
David Cameron and Francis Maude: 'All In It Together'.
Right up to their effing necks.

He should be in the nick with every other cheating bastard of whatever party

Complimentary: Senior social workers are on salaries of around 60k - if you're buying with your social worker partner you have a combined salary of 120k - you could easily afford a flat in the Primrose Hill area of London. ( Belsize Park is fairly cheap )

carminaburana. 60k I had better get back into social work.....quick!
PS I would never marrry another social worker if someone put a gun to my head!!Grin

carminaburna. When you posted that two social workers could buy a 1 bed flat in Belsize Park on a salary of 120k I jumped for joy! The cheapest I could find was 285k (on Find a Property/Nestoria)for Primrose Hill (proper)1 bed costs on average 385k. No social worker I know could afford either. The estate agents in there sly ways are also calling Fellows Road in Swiss Cottage, Primrose Hill.
One of my freinds lived there in one of the huge council tower blocks!

You really got my hopes up then, I thought I could be rubbing shoulders with the likes of the 'Primrose Hill Set'. Cheers! Wine

comp...all you are doing is showing your likely politics.

Be open about it and then we can all proceed from there.

To either support you or lower you into the Thames in a barrel ( metaphorically speaking.)

It would be a posh ermine lined barrel with a hole in it. (which would allow for relief) cheers "Chabby"

Complimentary; Firstly, I was assuming my 2 social workers had a whopping great deposit of 100k (combined bonus Haringey council had awarded them for having more than 50% work attendance, or, profit from their squat in Brixton they'd sold under the 'squatters rights' scheme ) secondly, I was assuming my social workers had acquired a mortgage of 3.5x their salary (which is still possible even in these uncertain times). > they could therefore afford a property in the region of 450k

something nice like this

But more to the point - why on earth would you want to live in leftyville?

complimentary · 19/02/2011 18:16

Gabbylogon. If I were on the Thames it would be in a schooner/yacht. What's wrong with showing your politics? I thought that was what your were meant to do as it is a discussion board.

Whose we? You mean you? Listen if I was lowering you into the Thames (and I would not do it myself) Your lowering would be in a casket! It wouldn't be lined and it certainly would not have a hole in it!
Grin

I will only find pity for you, when you are being lowered, if you are old. I might give you a reprieve as I have worked with the elderly. If not you're sunk! Grin

carminaburana. I was only joking about living there! I already live in a place that's leftyville!
But me, I have 'balls of steel!' living in leftyville is just more of a challenge!Grin

carminaburana · 19/02/2011 18:43

I may just have been joking with you a tincy wincy bit Wink

And yes, living in leftyville must be an immense challenge for you - I can't imagine how you cope with the smell of kopi luwak and bullshite - but I'm sure you get used to it....

rabbitstew · 19/02/2011 19:26

What has Tinky Winky got to do with it?

carminaburana · 19/02/2011 20:26
