AIBU to ask for your prayers?

So my lovely friend's son is currently in an emergency operation to save his life. He has not been well for a long time and he never complains and tries to be the most positive person he can be even though he is in pain. There is a massive history of 30 years of illness. His Mum is the kindest most giving person I have ever met and the whole family are lovely.
She has great faith and I have everyone I know praying for a positive outcome for him but if I could get hundreds of vipers behind him then I do believe the power of prayer could carry him through.
If you haven't prayed in a while even better - God rejoices when a lost sheep returns.
YABU: It will make no difference
YANBU: I will try for you as I believe/what harm can it do.

Thanks everyone for your lovely words and prayers. Even though it wasn't unexpected I still feel a bit shocked that he is actually no longer alive. His mum feels the same too and of course much worse for her, his wife and brother.
Please do keep praying for them in the next few weeks.

You have shown amazing restraint there @Stoptheraintoday. I am so sorry to read your news and I hope you and his family are surrounded by strength and love.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of this very loved man.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Such sad news. Much love to you all.

As we head to the funeral, may I thank you all for your support and request your prayers for the family and friends on this day.
As DH and I put on our fancy clothes it sees ridiculous we are doing that to bury him rather than have them coming for coffee and cake (crazy thought I know - but the whole thing is unreal).

Hoping the funeral brought comfort to everyone who attended. November 11 - the day of solemn remembrance - is a peaceful day to lay someone to rest. You are all in my thoughts.
