AIBU to ask for your prayers?

So my lovely friend's son is currently in an emergency operation to save his life. He has not been well for a long time and he never complains and tries to be the most positive person he can be even though he is in pain. There is a massive history of 30 years of illness.His Mum is the kindest most giving person I have ever met and the whole family are lovely.
She has great faith and I have everyone I know praying for a positive outcome for him but if I could get hundreds of vipers behind him then I do believe the power of prayer could carry him through.
If you haven't prayed in a while even better - God rejoices when a lost sheep returns.
YABU: It will make no difference
YANBU: I will try for you as I believe/what harm can it do.

Hello anyone who sees this - and thanks for all who have stayed from the beginning.
Having had a very difficult four days things have been better today and he was strong enough to undergo some tests, the results of which will come back tomorrow so please do keep him in your prayers that the results are good.

Thank you all. I have been quiet the last few days as things have been very static. It is still going to be a long road back to health but it seems he has somewhat turned a corner in the last 36 hours . He drank some water and was allowed to sit in a chair for a little while too.
Please do keep praying for a continued improvement.

Such good news. His Mum thinks he might be well enough for me to visit soon.
It's a strange one this as he is just a few years younger than I am so we are friends too but his Mum and I were friends first as when we ( DH and I ) bought our first home she sort of became like a second Mum to me.
We have been blessed by her care and friendship for more than 30 years and she treats my DC like her grandchildren.
I realise with this post than anyone who knows me will recognise this but I'm so happy I don't care!

I've just seen this now, what a rollercoaster. I'm so pleased to hear that he seems to be doing well. Thinking of you, your friends and their son.
