Oh my goodness, I’ve just been to the Etsy shop of the woman who makes the sculptures and have fallen in love with this

www.etsy.com/uk/listing/683313972/ammonite-woman-ancient-spirit-by-shaping

I’m not sure I can justify spending the money on it really but she is really calling to me- I think she’s beyond beautiful!

Sorry to hear you're struggling with poor sleep. Me too, I know there's a lot of planetary stuff going on at the moment, which is affecting now we all feel. Also though, I think many of us are suffering from exhaustion. I don't think we should underestimate the stress we've all been under during these past few months, even if physically we've been 'well'. The emotional impact is having a huge impact on us all. I'm feeling a generally apathetic about everything at the moment, which is unlike me, and I'm feeling tired and achey. Some time off and self-care is very much needed!

Yashmis those sculptures are beautiful! I think you should treat yourself ❤️

YashmisCrone · 24/06/2020 23:17

Very wise words Violet, you are so right that we need to heed these signs our body gives us, even when we feel that we are well. A dose of self care now will save a bigger repair job later down the line I think.

Inspired by the beautiful annomite sculpture (who is still calling me!), I dosed my self up on self care after I’d finished work for the day. A quick easy tea eaten outside followed by pottering in the garden. I ate fresh raspberries and wild strawberries as I picked them and couldn’t resist opening up one of the new pea pods I have growing, still tiny but deliciously sweet. Then I picked flowers and mixed them with Himalayan salt, charged it all with rose quartz with an intention of soothing and uplifting, lit some candles and had a soak in the bath with the mixture. The petals looked so beautiful and made me think of Elphames Blodeuwedd (?) Jar. I returned the petals to the earth with thanks and sat in the garden enjoying the cool evening air.

My lingering headache has lifted and the air is the perfect tonic for the hot flushes I was having!

Sending out a wish for a peaceful night’s sleep for all 🌺

Good morning, and thank you for the wonderful energy on ths thread.
Yesterday was a dramatic day, full of trauma and bad energy flying in all directions. Nothing serious just a huge amount of bickering, t cross words and bad feeling.
Towards bed time things did calm and ended on a better note.
And I slept very deeply.

YashmisCrone you have been doing a lot of shadow work, I am glad you have found comfort. Shadow work can be hard and unsettling too , so I am delighted to hear you have been tender towards yourself- your flower bath sounds wonderful, I may give that a try.
Thanks for the links too, I will explore those when I have time later today.
violet your words are wise. I think we do underestimate the impact of this situation. Even if we feel we are coping- I know I tend to carry the burden of other family member's emotions, always trying to fix things, make sure everyone is OK- it's something we as women often do. And it can be exhausting.
My yoga practice today is entitled "Reset", so should be interesting. Then a day of work, lots to do, hopefully by Saturday I should have some respite.
Much cooler here too, which is lovely, yesterdays' temperature spike was so uncomfortable.

I wish everyone a calm day full of light energy.

Glad you slept well and things have cooled down. I think many of us are feeling the strain of too much time spent together and the heat doesn't help!

I slept well too for the first time in ages. I did a relaxing yin yoga practise before bed and used a fan to keep my room cool. I'm feeling much calmer this morning, taking a quick break from work and enjoying a coffee on the sunshine.

Yashmis I loved reading your post and I'm so glad you're making some time for yourself, your bath sounds wonderful!

Love to you all for a relaxed day ❤️

YashmisCrone · 25/06/2020 11:27

Very pleased to hear of my sisters getting better sleep, I slept deeply too. I think it can make the world of difference

Violet I hope you enjoyed your sunshine coffee break, these little moments scattered throughout the day can really help can’t they

I think your observation of women carrying the burdens of other family members is so pertinent speakout, when the load feels heavy, I sometimes make a point of ‘sorting through it’ in my mind- I visualise posting slips of paper into different boxes with the issues that are concerning me and remind myself that whilst I can support, I can only really change the stuff that’s in my own box. It feels necessary because as women we’re trained to do the opposite I think.

The moon was beautiful in the sky last night, full of promise and a whole new cycle, change for the better is in the air I think.

Love to all for a day that flows just as you need it too

YashmisCrone · 25/06/2020 19:08

I seem to be having a poetry week.
Here’s another one I saw and wanted to share. To me She is the goddess, the divine feminine, our innate ancient wisdom, our higher selves.

“ She is intuition,
she is far-seer,
she is deep listener,
she is loyal heart.
She encourages humans to remain multilingual;
fluent in the languages of dreams,
passion, and poetry.
She whispers from night dreams
she leaves behind
on the terrain of a woman’s soul
a coarse hair and muddy footprints.
These fill women with longing to find her,
free her, and love her.
She is ideas, feelings, urges, and memory.
She has been lost and half-forgotten for a long, long time.
She is the source,
the light,
the night,
the dark,
and daybreak.

Blurpblorp · 25/06/2020 22:11

Good evening all Flowers

@YashmisCrone thank you again for all the inspiration of late. Did you buy your ammonite fae in the end? Smile I really love the picture you posted on wednesday of the mother and child figures. I have two daughters so it resonates strongly with me. And also looks a little like a golden spiral which makes me happy.

@speakout I hope you've been surrounded by more positive energies today. Morning yoga is such a wonderful thing, I hope it reset your day and that you made good progress. I'm sending you power to claim at least one day of rest this weekend.

For those of you who are struggling to sleep, these stories have worked wonders for me lately www.nothingmuchhappens.com/stories I got the recommendation from here and they've really helped quieten my mind.

I'm melting in the heat down here this week but I have almost finished work for the week and will spend the weekend with my girls volunteering in my school's vegetable patch!

I have been working with my chakras this week and realised I have a serious blockage in my solar plexus. I've been working with the energy and also doing yoga but - excuse the overshare - have been burping so much ever since and have awful indigestion! It's just flared up again this evening but I am armed with fresh mint tea.

I have also fallen head over heels for this water bottle. Absolutely don't need it but the heafrt wants what it wants... www.sacredessence.co.uk/natures-design-golden-ratio-flower-of-life-c95/sacred-essence-om-water-gratitude-table-bottle-lead-free-recycled-glass-1-2l-with-natural-cork-stopper-p2309

VioletCharlotte · 25/06/2020 22:45

What a beautiful evening it is. I'm enjoying the cooler air now that the sun has gone in. It's still hot inside so I'm sat in the garden, I've got some incense burning, it feels rather exotic.

Feeling so much better today. I've for tomorrow off work and I'm really looking forward to the long weekend. I went to an outdoor kundalini yoga class earlier, which finished with a sound bath relaxation. It's seems to have worked it's magic! I love practising yoga outside with the sound of the birds and the feel of the grass between my feet.

Yashmis I love that poem, thank you for sharing.

Blurpblorp interesting time read about your chakra work. I've done quite a bit of this myself, I know I have a blockage in my sacral chakra. Have you ever had reiki? If really recommend it (once they can practise again of course) . Also sound healing is great, especially crystal bowls, each bowl is tuned to a different note specific to each chakra. I was also told once to surround yourself with the colour of the chakra you want to heal (yellow for the solar plexus) and the eat nourishing, yellow food. Im not surprised by the physical symptoms, drink lots of water to flush the energy through, it's a good sign and shows things are shifting!

Thank for you for sharing the sleep stories, I'll save that link as have had a few nights recently where I've struggled to sleep.

Love to you all.

YashmisCrone · 26/06/2020 09:47

Good morning,
Violet, here’s wishing you a restful day off. Sounds like you got off to a good start last night with that wonderful sounding yoga session. I’ve been loving sitting in the garden at night too.

Blurpblorp I fell asleep to one of those stories last night- thank you! I love the seed of life imprint on the bottom of the bottle you posted and definitely know what you mean about your heart wanting something. I’m not usually one for wanting things but that sculpture is still calling to me! I haven’t bought her yet, I’ll need to wait a little longer before I do but I think she’ll be with me before too long!

Interesting about the chakra work. Like Violet my sacral chakra tends to be my sticky one. I think those are great ideas about realignment with the help of colour, food etc. I’m no expert on this but always fascinated by practices that shift and balance energy.

I’m pleased it’s cooler here today. Still no storm as the weather forecast keeps suggesting there might be but the air is less muggy- we did have a little rain last night and were treated to that delicious petrichor smell after the heat we’ve had.

I hope everyone finds magic in their day

speakout · 26/06/2020 13:47

A much cooler day here, and quieter too for me- it is lovely to be able to turn my attentions to housework !
I have really appreciated all the gifts that my sisters have brought to this magical space for us all to share- the links, the poetry and pictures, the ideas and kind words. I haven't yet managed to fully catch up- but I am basking in this place of nurture surrounded by brightness and love.
I will light a candle for everyone here, one of my Rose candles to send love and blessings to everyone in this enchanted space.

Speakout that sounds amazing! It's so hot here, I'm melting 🥵

I love a storm after a spell of hot weather, the air always smells so fresh and clean afterwards. Enjoy!

speakout · 26/06/2020 16:01

VioletCharlotte

It has passed now, I can still hear the distant rumble. Blue skies and birdsong, but humid and still warm. I did dash outside for the petrichor and take a few items to be charged in the storm.

Oh @YashmisCrone I'm so pleased it worked for you! I find myself thinking "I'll try and listen to all of this one" then I wake up the next day Grin I hope your sculture is with you soon - she is a lovely thing to marvel over in the meantime. Her hair alone is so real and expressive!

@VioletCharlotte I love the sound of your yoga and sound bath experience. I hope that peace has carried through to today for you too. Thanks so much for the encouragement about my energy blockage. It's definitely shifting around me at the moment and I'm just trying to observe it with curiosity and acceptance. I am going to surround myself with yellow food too! I roasted these beauties yesterday (plenty of yellow) and the entire downstairs of my house smelt divine. Made me think of your roasted peppers recipe Speakout; I must try that one day..

@speakout I love the sound of your storm... and your yipee Grin There's nothing so special as a thunderstorm. Hope you can absorb some of the powerful energy. And thank you for the candle light Smile

I've just come back from a sweaty picnic in the park as it's hot hot here though a lovely breeze which helps. The stress of ungrateful tired children didn't help but we are all home and cooler and calmer. I'm excited for our weekend together, there is magic in the air. I feel it.

Any Witches Here? Part 11
VioletCharlotte · 26/06/2020 21:15

Yashmis I'm really glad the sleep stories worked for you. I'm going to have a listen tonight, thank you for the recommendation *Blurpblorp

Speakout* shame the storm didn't come to much. Since my last post, the temperature has dropped here from a hot and humid 29 down to a cool 16. It always amazes me how quickly the weather can change! The cool air is a welcome relief.

Blurpblorp I'm glad you can feel the energy shifting around you. Those roast veggies look delicious. I had a lazy diner tonight of jackfruit burger and sweet potato fries, very nice though! Over the last few weeks I've switched to a plant based diet (I've been veggie for a long time). I'm surprised by how easy it's been. I'm really enjoying cooking in a different way.

VioletCharlotte · 28/06/2020 11:05

Morning, the thread's been quiet over the weekend. Hope everyone is well. It's been much cooler here, which is a welcome relief after the hot days we had earlier in the week. I had a busy, but productive day at home yesterday, taking an old bed to bits and building a new one, and sorting stuff I no longer need in the garage ready to go to the tips. I quite enjoy a day like this now and again, it makes me feel empowered..who needs a man? Ha!

This morning I'm taking it easy, gentle yoga class to start the day.
Later I'll do some batch cooking which will save me some time in the week when I'm working.

Blurpblorp thank you again for those sleep stories you shared. I'm not sure how they work, but I've listened to them the last two nights and have gone out like a light..I couldn't tell you what they were about...witchcraft! Smile

Blurpblorp · 28/06/2020 13:33

Hi everyone. Yes I hope you've all had a peaceful weekend and found the magic in the everyday. Certainly sounds like you have @VioletCharlotte! I know what you mean about feeling empowered after a day cleaning and sorting. We women are powerful, capable beings! Your weekend sounds lovely actually and am so glad the stories are working for you. I love this one www.nothingmuchhappens.com/stories/2018/5/18/episode-fourish-some-days-a-bonus-episode It's only short but I think the next time I have a bad day, this will be what I listen to.

I have barely stopped this weekend but all enjoyable things like lots of cooking and pottering at home. I've just discovered this new radio station www.serenityradio.co.uk/ and have been listening to some lovely shows whilst pottering; about spirituality, energy and self-improvement. I feel like I could nap any minute as I've been on a allotment with my DDs all morning. An after lunch doze will be very welcome...

I still have my indigestion and tight feeling in my solar plexus but I'm trying to work with my energy and will see how it progresses. I've also been doing a connection spell for about 12 days. It is supposed to be a little bit everyday for 9 days but it keeps slipping my mind to do it, and I start all over again. I am however, enjoying the process hugely so it is worth it Smile

Love and good wishes for you all Flowers

littleninja · 29/06/2020 12:36

Happy Monday everyone.

Hope you are all well? It has certainly been very quiet here by the fire over the weekend! Taking a moment to settle myself onto a cushion and have a 5 minute breather in the peace and tranquility.

I have felt a strong shift in energy this weekend. The few people I have been around have been stressed out about things which are out of their control. It has been difficult to remove myself from this negativity and this tends to manifest itself in my feeling run down with a flare up of eczema. I'm trying to do some self care by taking a step back and allow this unwanted energy to pass by quickly.
I am trying to increase the good vibrations by taking things slowly today, eating healthily and will join my online class for a yoga session this evening.
Blessings to all

Elphame · 29/06/2020 13:21

A very non magical life here at the moment

I'm knee deep in risk assessments, cleaning protocols and the like. Spent a fortune at Booker buying viricidal sprays and wipes and writing our new on line guest book in preparation for (I hope) re-opening on 13th July!. Rather nervous but as we'll be hitting the ground running with back to back bookings until October there is a scary amount to do.

This afternoons task is signage - I'm hoping I can find some "pretty" ones as I don't want the place to look like an office. It's bad enough having to put hand sanitiser dispensers in the hallway Confused

littleninja · 30/06/2020 11:49

That sounds tedious but necessary @Elphame. I hope you manage to weave some magic into your cleaning. Exciting that you can start getting back to some sort of normality again. I am now back into my normal work routine and it's good to be back to it. I had loads of energy the first few weeks back but the exhaustion soon catches up with you.

I'm still feeling very sluggish so trying to have some early nights. My house is clean, but maybe I should do some cleansing / smudging too. Just baked a banana loaf so the house smells divine!

I did a body wisdom yoga class yesterday evening which felt good for healing and I'm taking part in a chakra balancing class tomorrow which I'm very much looking forward to and hoping will help even more.

Hope everyone is well and not too bogged down with the mundane.

Blurpblorp · 30/06/2020 13:10

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well.

@Elphame it sounds very positive that you can takes steps to be back in the swing by October. A shame they're not more exciting but I hope you can find some meaningful learnings somewhere in the unglamorous, boring minutae. I sometimes catch myself wondering if the Queen ever has to replace the loo roll holder.... Chris Witty having to put the bins out etc...

@littleninja great that you're taking self-care steps to distance yourself from negative energy rather than pick it up by default. A great reminder for me. I hope it worked and your mindful living is going well. I can smell the banana bread from here Grin

I'm still feeling the magic of the everyday and feel like I'm seeing the world through fresh eyes, with a renewed enthusiasm. It's so grounding and reassurring to have an altar in my home, even though they just look like pretty ornaments. I made a coffee cake over the weekend... early morning, I cleansed the kitchen, connected to my energy, then made it slowly and mindfully. It tasted amazing. Baking really is alchemy.

VioletCharlotte · 30/06/2020 18:52

Elphame I was reading a article about all the things holiday home owners need to do to comply with the new guidance... so much work for you! I'm really hoping it all goes smoothly, it just be such a worry for those who rely on the tourist trade for their income. I've got an AirBNB booked in October, with 3 friends. I'm really hoping that by then we'll be ok to go.

Littleninja good to see you. Sorry you're feeling sluggish, I was feeling like that last week. Yoga really helps doesn't it? In fact, I'm not sure how I'd have got through all this without yoga. It's been my saviour!

Blurpblorp you have a lovely energy, your positivity and excitement about everything you're discovering is contagious. I agree that baking is like alchemy. I made a carrot cake at the weekend and was thinking just the same! I'm really enjoying experimenting with plant based recipes, it's quite amazing what you can use instead of eggs.. apple sauce, banana, avocado, it's really interesting.

Work is a bit quieter this week which is a huge relief. DS1 has been struggling with low mood, so I've been spending time with him and helping him find coping strategies. Since uni closed back in March, he's had no structure to his day and has been staying up too late, not eating well and I starting to take its toll. I do feel sorry for young people at the moment. So many people are affected by all this in so many ways.

Elphame · 30/06/2020 19:20

Thanks everyone - it will get done. Sourcing soluble laundry sacks was today's task. Never knew there was even such a thing!

Those recent threads on AIBU with all the complaints about a "late" check in were really dispiriting. All responsible owners will be dong their best to keep guests and staff safe but it seems many guests are more concerned about losing an hour or two of their holiday.

I'm hosting the local online moot tonight from 8 so I'm really looking forward to some pagan/witchy chat. I need it!

YashmisCrone · 30/06/2020 19:26

Just stopping by to sit with a peppermint tea and connect with my sisters here. Forgive me I’m not up to date but look forward to catching up later and it’s good to sit with your energy.

I’ve had a busy few days with a few more ahead and have been enjoying the bedtime stories Blurpblorp shared with us. Even when sleep is evasive they are so soothing and I’ve found myself revisiting them during the day- a touchstone of calm 🙏

I liked this one I listened to last night; a beautiful illustration of coming home to what has always been within you

www.nothingmuchhappens.com/stories/2019/10/20/season-four-episode-seven-grandmothers-grimoire
