Blurpblorp
I'm really missing being able to potter in witchy/independent shops too. I'm not really fussed with shopping for clothes, shoes, etc, but I do love a witch shop or a leisurely browse around a charity shop. I'm looking forward to when we can do these things again.

Yashmis I hope you had a lovely day off and made the most of some time to yourself to relax.

Speakout your description of your garden sounds very witchy indeed! Love it!

Welcome, it's lovely to have you with us Smile

We had an amazing thunderstorm here this evening and lots of rain, which is good news for my garden. The air felt so fresh and clear afterwards.

I came across an interesting post about the energies we're feeling at the moment from the dark moon. Sharing the link as I thought some of you may like to read it -

Thanks @VioletCharlotte that's super interesting... cycles and energies are just so intertwined. And I know I think this because I was just reading back on Thread 1 what Speakout said about feminism and witchcraft being deeply intertwined.

I just love this thread; it's one of my daily gratitudes Flowers

FruitPastillesaregood · 18/06/2020 00:19

I’ve been to the Green Witch Shop several times. It’s lovely. She has a website too which is very interesting !

Indigochi · 18/06/2020 00:25

What are these threads about? Genuinely confused and interested

BlankTimes · 18/06/2020 01:03

Welcome @Indigochi
There's a link on the first post on this thread to all of our previous threads. Maybe starting from the beginning and reading through them will answer your question. Halloween Grin

speakout · 18/06/2020 07:02

Good morning.

I am loving all the fresh energy on this thread from the newcomers- it's lovely to have all the new ideas and perspectives.
VioletCharlotte it's the charity shops I miss most- I love browsing, and like you I am not a fan of normal clothes shops.
Many of my favourite things have come from charity shops- books, clothes I also seem to find lots of unopened packs of candles, candle holders, containers for burning incense, bowls, ribbon, wooden items, fabrics, many supplies I use for my craft. Thanks for the link. We will have a new moon on the solstice, which should be amazing.
I will have a quiet time at home, a small ritual and reflection.
Blurpblorp interesting you talk of cycles, one of the first books I read as an adult witch was The Spiral Dance by Starhawk- I think she also appears in the video I posted the other way Goddesss Remembered.
I still have my old battered copy of that book, but I remember finding some of her ideas very profound.

Good morning wise ones. I hope you are all having a magical week? Storms have been forecast here in the south for a couple of days but still nothing. I can feel the pressure building though so when it comes I'm sure it will stir things up!
I'm looking forward to Litha at the weekend. Ready to release what is no longer serving me and set some new intentions. I picked up some natural objects and wildflowers for my alter whilst on my dog walk last night.
Once again it's great to see some new faces around the fire! Welcome @Indigochi. This is a safe, supportive splace for anyone wishing to find self-love and explore their own spirituality and different beliefs - that's what I get from this group anyway! I have learnt so much. I second going back through some previous threads (there are a lot of them) but certainly the first thread will explain more.

Have a great day everyone

Blurpblorp · 18/06/2020 10:57

Good, rainy morning to all... I had a genuinely magical evening last night. I opened the windows and doors and lit a sage bundle, then I started a connection ritual, tying threads together over the course of 9 days to welcome like-minded souls to my life. Then made a fresh mint tea and had a warm bath with the bathroom lights off and windows open onto the thrashing rain outside. Then I slept deeply all night and woke up feeling so refreshed.

I've only recently moved into this house and it has a lovely energy. A 1930's terrace and the same family had it for over 50 years before us. I do sense the past energy and it is lovely although I'm nervous of it, not sure what that's about.

Such a novice to this but so excited at the thought of being able to create magic for others, and myself. Feel like this thread has given me permission to explore these things and am so happy SmileStar I'll buy that Starhawk book too thanks @speakout so much to learn!!

But enough about me... how are you all today? Did the storm reach you?

speakout · 18/06/2020 11:24

Good morning sisters.

No storm here, but a calm day, sunny and bright.
Blurpblorp I love the sound of your magical evening sounds perfect.

I know many of us here feel that they are new to a magical path, wit a lot to learn and the prospect may seem daunting.
It is a cliche, but the journey is the important part.
We are all learning here, whether we have been walking a magical way for days or decades.

And ultimately we can't all be an expert in all areas, so take time and enjoy the flowers.
It is important to read and learn, but at your own pace, and only things that may interest you.
Everyone is valuable and has a valid position.
Collectively as a group we know a great deal.

Good evening all. After a rather full on day, it's good to join you all by the fire and relax for a while.

Im watching The Planets on BBC2. Ive always been fascinated by space, ever since watching the rocket launches as primary school as a child. There's something very grounding about the realisation that we're so minute and here for such an unbelievably small amount of time, the worries and stresses of our day to day lives are all pretty irrelevant really.

Blurpblorp it was good to read about your magical evening, I'm so glad you're enjoying exploring and discovering new things. As Speakout says, we're all on a journey and learning all the time. There's a wealth of knowledge on this thread and I've learned so much. I'm very grateful to you all.

speakout · 19/06/2020 17:11

Just carved out time to sit down today. Unexpectedly busy with small problems and things needing done. Feeling quite worn out although it's only 5pm. Had to endure huge queues at the post office, bank and supermarket. Lots of work and just finished cooking/prepping dinner- no one ever wants to eat at the same time!
I was hoping to do some photography today for some new products, but no time for that, and I need space for creative feelings to flow.

VioletCharlotte I relate to your view about space- it puts thins in perspective doesn't it.
I remember watching the live moon landigs as a child, the amazing Carl Sagan TV series - showing my age!!

I hope to setttle down tonight with few demands- some tea, and as little disruption as possible. Very difficult when we are a family of five!!

Can I join ladies ? Long time lurking around. I really enjoy reading your posts, and get a sense of wellbeing and calmness afterwards.
I definitely have felt a pull towards learning more x

You are welcome. Always good to have new faces. There's tea in the pot and a cushion by the fire. It will be good to get to know you.

Busy day here today too, good to sit down with a peppermint tea and I’ll echo that it’s lovely to see new faces amongst us. Welcome!

Wishing everyone a peaceful evening

Missgoldilocks · 19/06/2020 20:40

Hello lovely ladies ❤️
I stumbled across this forum while searching the Web for some advice, any one here read tarot??
I've been trying to concieve for near on a year. My sister said this month she had a "feeling", now myself, mother and sister are quite intuitive and she hasn't said that all year. I decided to do a very quick reading and as I was shuffling my rider waite deck the question will I get pregnant within 2 months came to my mind quite intently and these are the two cards I pulled.

I had a reading by a lovely lady back in February and she pulled two cards when I asked about pregnancy, I got the magician and a water card (the water card seem to come from a larger card deck) so this is why I have done a 2 card reading I hope that is okay, I am new to this all.

I think what I have pulled is a good sign, but could anyone here please just give me some clarity on this? I would really really appreciate it so thank you in advance 🙏❤️
I've attached a picture of what I pulled, I pulled the empress first.

X

Hi everyone and hello @Bakedbeanhead I'm a newbie too - nice to have you here Smile

@speakout I hope you've found some peace and calm this evening. I saw Neil DeGrasse Tyson's more recetn version of the Cosmos series and was just blown away. Must watch the original Carl Sagan one at some point. As you say @VioletCharlotte it really does put things into perspective and make worries, discrimination and fighting seem meaningless.

@YashmisCrone I'm going to have a peppermint tea too - thanks for the thought!

@Missgoldilocks I can't help I'm afraid but someone will come along soon I'm sure. Am sending you good wishes StarStarStar

Missgoldilocks · 19/06/2020 21:55

@blurpblorp thank you 😊🙏💕

BlankTimes · 19/06/2020 23:32

Good evening everyone, a very warm welcome to our new people and our returning family, lovely to see all of you, grab a beanbag and have another cuppa.

Missgoldilocks divination, no matter which method you use, isn't great for questions you want a yes or no answer to. You may as well toss a coin.

Divination is a great method for showing you what energies are present right now and what COULD occur in the future, but it deals with possibilities, not certainties.

By all means do use the Tarot if you're drawn to it, several of us do, but please be aware it won't give the type of answers to questions that you're used to hearing, all forms of divination have a much more intuitive interpretation than a logical one, they'll show you potential (s) rather than certainties.

Everyone planning for Solstice? Seems there could be a dramatic energetic change, hang onto your pointy hats and enjoy the broomstick ride Halloween Grin

speakout · 20/06/2020 06:36

Good morning and Happy Solstice, Litha, Happy New Moon to anyone celebrating today.
Just having my morning coffee and gearing up for the day.
I will light some of my new incense orange and cinnamon and do a sun sulutation yoga ritual by way of giving thanks and drawing on the energy of the sun.
I have a few mundane things to do this morning- shopping, but hopefully there will be some warmth and sunshine.

Missgoldilocks a warm welcome, I am glad you have joined us. I like to use Tarot too, many of us do here, Tarot can be a useful tool in helping us gain insight into people and situations. I find it great for general guidance and showing new perspectives. I know you are eager to conceive and looking for hope, I understand that, but like Blanktimes I fear that Tarot is not the best tool to give you a yes/no answer on this situation.
Life energy runs high at this time of year however, you may like to harness that energy to help your chances of conception. Whether through meditation, spellwork, making something that taps into your creative and procreative energies.

I wish everyone happiness and abundance on this special day

Good morning and Solstice greetings to you all!

Welcome @Missgoldilocks and @Bakedbeanhead, lovely to have you here with us.

I was up before the lark this morning, my alarm set for 3.40am! My plan for the day is to acknowledge the long daytime hours today so I headed to the beach armed with coffee and croissants to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately it was very cloudy so I didn't see the actual sun rise, but I did enjoy the lovely pink hue of the sun behind the clouds and the half light which always feels magical. There were little bunnies hopping around and even Mr Fox made a brief appearance.

I conducted my own little releasing ceremony - I'd like to say I feel lighter for it but I am feeling quite sluggish and have a slight tension headache. Not sure if that's down to tiredness, the change in energy or just the 'couple' of glasses of Prosecco I drank last night!!!

I'm hoping the new moon tonight and welcoming in tomorrow with a morning yoga session and setting new intentions will make me feel better.

I have a busy day planned. It's funny how just a few weeks ago we couldn't do anything in lockdown and my most pressing plans for the weekends were walking the dogs. Now, already I'm almost back to doing the usual running round after the kids and double booking ourselves! (Albeit socially distanced get togethers with friends) I promised myself during the quarantine period that I wouldn't allow myself to fill all of my time up again. I must continue to be mindful of not agreeing to things to please others.

@Missgoldilocks I wanted to touch upon the tarot cards which came out for you. I have never read tarot but my interest in tarot and oracle cards has been ignited recently so I thought I would look them up. Both cards do seem relevant to your situation but as others have said, tarot does not give yes or no answers to questions. I know personally what it is like to want something so badly but the universe has it's own plan. You would be wise to acknowledge this and allow nature to take charge, life is never without obstacles and challenges and I pray that you will overcome these with love and gratitude.

Wishing you all a bright and sunshiney day everyone!

littleninja · 20/06/2020 07:32

Not sure why my last post is all in bold! 🙈 apologies!

Blurpblorp · 20/06/2020 09:48

Good morning to all and happy summer solstice / litha Flowers I really am seeing the world thorugh new eyes and with renewed contentment since I've been exploring the world of witchcraft. It's so nice to hear your plans for today and to not feel so alone and 'kooky' for wanting to celebrate the solstice.

It's quite overcast here today but I got up at 5:30am and messed around in the garden/kitchen - cleansing the area and making a lovely tea. I did today's contribution to my 9-day connection spell and am going to venture out later to buy fresh food then a walk around my local park. I'm planning a nice meal for myself later then a fire in the evening until sundown.

@BlankTimes can you tell me more baout the dramatic energy change? Is this something you've found through your own divination? Or is it well known?

Thank you for the inspiration for the releasing spell and harnessing the sun's energy. I wish you all a peaceful, uplifting day x

Blurp For the energy changes throughout the year - look at Wheel of the Year - all about the solstices and equinoxes to get an idea of the general ebb and flow.

At this point, there's Summer Solstice, a New Moon and a Solar Eclipse
"This New Moon/Solar Eclipse offers a new start of epic proportions. She amplifies our perceptions and enables us to formulate life changing intentions if we are open to her energy. Unexpected events and opportunities are likely to occur on both personal and worldwide levels as the emotional energy ebbs and flows within and around the eclipse."
Here's a link to Astrocal's page for the full text, www.astrocal.co.uk/news/new-moon-solar-eclipse-in-cancer-21st-june-2020/

Oh and the full text of Desiderata which at one time long gone, everyone I knew used to have framed and on their wall, allpoetry.com/Desiderata---Words-for-Life

speakout · 20/06/2020 11:43

BlankTimes that is a reallly informative link to the Astrocal site,, thanks.
Yes this is a huge one, it has been building for many months, a fanfare or retrogrades, leading to this huge change.
A massive year of global change and disruption, not all of it comfortable, most of it necessary.

Bleary eyed wave to all the new names. I've been up since pre -dawn to do a working. I did go back to bed about 7am but then the cat wanted his breakfast and the dog a walk

Might take a nap later!

In other news I now have a spindle AND wool so no more excuses. It came with some samples - the merino/alpaca blend is the loveliest thing I've ever felt. So so soft and dyed a lovely variegated caramel. I just sit there and fondle it

Original spindle is still missing but I fully expect to find it this afternoon when I clear away the remnants of the night's work
