Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

I thought I would finish off my Tarot weekend by picking a card for this online group.

I pulled the Four of Wands- to me sums up the energy of the group here.
We may be isolated, we may have challenges, but every time I drop in here I feel a warm glow from the sisterhood, the understanding, the shared energy in our togetherness.

That's a reason to celebrate!

Thank you speakout, and hear hear! What a beautifully fitting card for the energy of our group 🙏

Thank you Speakout a lovely card and so uplifting! I was thinking about your cards earlier, and how a few queens come up and was reminded of how earlier in the year we talked about wearing out crowns with pride. I feel this may be a reminder to us as a group to embody that Queen energy again.

Thank you too Blanktimes for that link, amazing images Smile

I love this thread, being amongst your warm, supportive energy never fails to give me a lift. I'm so grateful to you all 🙏

Blurpblorp · 15/06/2020 17:08

Hello all,

Thanks for the second card @speakout so fitting Smile I'm so happy I'm here and @BlankTimes thanks for those pictures they're amazing!

@VioletCharlotte I hope your relaxing evening did the trick and your energy had boosted. I felt very queenly last night after watching Goddess Remembered. What an amazing film! My daughter got back up out of bed and watched the last 30 minutes with me; we had such a special moment with the windows open, candles lit and the dusky evening air wafting in. I'm going to wear my crown now at a jaunty angle while I cook dinner Grin

Wishing you all a peaceful evening.

speakout · 15/06/2020 17:44

BlankTimes beautiful rainbow images- thank you.

I am loving the queen talk too VioletCharlotte- the whole idea of claiming sovereignty over ourselves is so empowering.
Blurpblorp your evening dounds divine, I am glad you have found your crown too!

On the subject of household spirits here's a nice little round up (the source is a bit dodgy though so further research is recommended!)

Trying again with the image!

Oh yay! It's worked! Have a lovely day ladies!

YashmisCrone · 16/06/2020 11:21

Love those rainbow lightning pictures BlankTimes, thank you for sharing them. My met office app keeps teasing me with storm warnings but none here so far, I’m hoping we’ll have one tomorrow 🤞

I enjoyed reading that article about household spirits Elphame, thank you for that.

missrks that little bottle of black looks curious doesn’t it. I’m none the wiser I’m afraid but also intrigued!

Loving the re-emergence of the queen energy here, I’m feeling a warrior queen vibe this week! No messing!

missrks that certainly looks interesting- I have no idea what these things mean though!

YashmisCrone thank you for the queen image- I am glad you are rocking the warrior this week- stride boldly and let the earth shake!

Elphame that link is really interesting, amazing how many cultures have house spirits/deities and many of them quite similar in form too.

OP posts:
Blurpblorp · 16/06/2020 14:22

@missrks that is very very strange. Perhaps it was meant to be a lovely green plant but it's since died? No idea about the bottle of black liquid. Could it be linked to geocaching? Not that I've ever done it... but I think there are codes involved.

@YashmisCrone hooray for the queen energy! I hope the storm comes yor way eventually and you can channel some of its power.

Is it possible to 'bottle' energy from a storm? How might a person do this?

I make all this stuff up but I did a bit of kitchen witchey earlier I think; made an ayurvedic tea for myself. Got my ingredients (ginger, black pepper, cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom) and boiled them up in water whilst thinking thoughts of gratitude and a wish for it to make me feel better (have a cold). It filled the house with a wonderful scent and I inhaled the steam and drank it and swear I felt better for a while afterwards. I'm tired again now, but so nice to have done that today. I feel calm and happy Smile

Hope the storm for us all later and brings good energy for us all.

speakout · 16/06/2020 15:28

Blurpblorp your tea sounds lovely- I make a similar "yogi" tea, I wonder if it is the same recipe?

Yes you can use storm energy in lots of ways- you can collect and bottle the water, charge or purify crystals or equipment, cleanse runes.
Similarly I often collect full or new moon water, snow water, sun water.
The waters can be used in ritual, spellwork, kitchen witchery, laundry magic, bath or skin care.

Elphame
Thank you for that link, I love reading things like that, it's so interesting.

Yashmis loving the warrior queen energy! Anyone who gets in your way this week needs to look out!

Missrks that does look interesting, I'd be really curious too. No idea what that's all about!

Blurpbop love the sound of your yogi tea, sounds delicious and very calming.

I'm feeling much calmer today and more settled. After a productive day at work and a nice walk this evening, I'm relaxing on my bed. It's nice to lay here and look out at the window at the sky and trees before heading off to bed.

missrks · 16/06/2020 22:18

I'm going to do a bit of research of the local area! It's really intriguing. There is a little shop in the village beside where I was walking funnily enough, called the green witch! I popped in once and bought my mum a rose quartz angel. The lady said to chose the one I was most drawn too!

I'll keep you updated if I find anything out. :)

speakout · 17/06/2020 08:23

missrks is that shop in Aberdour?

OP posts:
missrks · 17/06/2020 08:47

Yeah that's the one! Are you local?

speakout · 17/06/2020 08:48

Other side of the Forth! I heard someone mention it a few months ago- sounds like it is worth a visit?

I appreciate it may not be open for some time yet.

Hello all!

I'm so excited for the solstice and my altar is set up. My question is about spell books. I really struggle to find decent spells which I can use, aside from the few tried and tested ones which are in my fledgling BOS. Any suggestions please?

YashmisCrone · 17/06/2020 09:28

Ooh, I like the sound of the green witch shop and love the synchronicity!

I’ve taken the day off work today and plan on doing only things that bring me joy. I’ll be out in the garden soon to pick myself some flowers and still have my fingers crossed for a magical storm later. Takeaway for tea so no cooking either.

Wishing everyone a magical day 💫

speakout · 17/06/2020 09:56

MrsFruitcake I mostly write my own spells , but there is a wealth of resource on the internet.

There are no rules when writing spells- I like to keep the intent simple, you can use rhyme, and feel free to pick lines or phrases from other spells or even poems that strike a chord and use them in your own spells. Words or phrases athat are powerful to you- may come from books, movies, songs.
Plagiarism is totally allowed!!
YashmisCrone your day sounds lovely. It is very misty and overcast here, my front garden is covered in mushrooms and toadsools this morning- I even have some growing in my porch nestled in the pot of my bean plants A takeaway sounds a great idea- I may see if I can get away with that today !

YashmisCrone · 17/06/2020 10:33

Welcome MrsFruitcake, I didn’t see your post when I posted mine. I love your enthusiasm for solstice, such a magical time of year isn’t it.
There’s quite a few book recommendations on our earlier threads if you have the time/inclination to read through- you’ll find many treasures! Sound advice from speakout too.

When I read your post, I thought of this book
www.abebooks.co.uk/9781899988013/Hocus-Pocus-Titanias-Book-Spells-1899988017/plp

Which wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea of course but is fun, easy to follow and might give you some ideas. I also like the purple velvet cover!

Thank you speakout. Your misty morning sounds magical too- a very fae front garden. I hope you can have a takeaway too, I like the idea of us sharing the experience!

Blurpblorp · 17/06/2020 11:53

Good morning everyone Flowers Ooo the Green Witch shop sounds wonderful. I desperately want to go to a couple of these kind of shops near me but can't get there due to current restrictions. I'm dreaming of a morning's easy browsing in a shop like that. I'm still in love with your altar! @BlankTimes

Hi @MrsFruitcake I love your solstice excitement! Me too! What are your plans for it can I ask? I'm going to live stream Stonehenge from English Heritage this year and light candles and have a fire. I'll be on my own but feel like a solitary kind of a witch so all good {smile]

@speakout you've painted a wonderful mind picture of your lovely garden!

@YashmisCrone I'm happy at the thought of your plans for your day Smile I really hope the storm comes for you and brings it's magic with it.
