Speakout I can understand your concerns, I would feel the same if it was one of my DC. During tonight's connection, I'll be lighting a candle for your DD and visualising a cloak of protection for her 💫

Yashmis those photos are gorgeous, really magical. Cooler here today too, I prefer this sort of temperature. Hope you're at home now, safe indoors.

Rivier camping in the garden sounds fun, what a lovely idea!

Work seems do be calming down a little, thank goodness. I went for a walk when I finished and came across this amazing tree. I really wanted to sit underneath it for a while but I needed to keep on my dog (he tends to get into mischief if I take my eyes off of him!). Look at those roots!

VioletCharlotte Thank you. I am feeing much calmer about my DD. She hasn't heard yet, but she is a young woman with such fire in her soul that I wouldn't want to stop her from doing what she feels is right. I raised her to have self belief, and if this is what sits right with her, then I am good with that too. her last placement was in intensive care and she took that on like a giant. She is a quiet, sensitive soul with a strong solid core.

What an amazing tree!
Just having my peppermint tea- about to light me 8pm candle, my DS will be down soon - for out nightly Star Trek episode.
More tea is called for!

Just been dealing wth another leak/water problem.

Water is has been flooding from my downstairs toilet area- up through the floor, into the hallway. Emergency plumber has visited and off for a spare part.
Second flood in a week and always in my dreams.
Maybe something I need to make peace with.

OP posts:
VioletCharlotte · 15/04/2020 18:07

Oh Speakout how frustrating for you! I feel like there's something going on there. Dreaming about floods can represent emotions feeling overwhelmed by changes that are happening/ about to happen. Does that resonate with you at all? I'm wondering if your manifesting real life floods through your dreams because your maybe not allowing yourself to acknowledge what you're feeling?

I'll turn a card for you later ❤️

Evening everyone, just a quick flypast.
Yashmis thank-you those clouds are absolutely stunningly beautiful.
Welcome Lego have some tea and pull up a beanbag by the aga, these evenings are still a bit nippy.
Elphame so pleased your leg is healing well and that you're up and about making potions.
Speakout you have such a lot on your plate, you'll be so concerned about your DD then all the domestic stuff culminating in your water problem flowing upwards, I hope it's easier to fix than it sounds.
Rivier you sound like such a hardy soul saying it's never too cold to camp, 'fraid I like my comfort in bed these days.
Violet What a wonderful tree! I too agree that endless reports on the media are just making so many people paranoid. We've only been in this situation a few weeks and we're all trying to find the best way we can to cope with it.
I don't listen to the figures as I believe they are nowhere near accurate, but every time I see a figure quoted for how many people have died that day, if my maths was any good I'd work out how many the other 98 percent of the population at that time have had it and survived. That's so much better to focus on IMO.

We had an incredibly red sunset tonight, it was wonderful to see, the sky is streaked with mist and there was a star high in the sky about due west.
I don't have any pics, but DD took a photo of the moon at the weekend which is worth sharing.
Must dash, have a magical evening everyone.

Good morning.

The pumber has gone, it turned out to be an easy leak to identify and fix, at a very reasonable cost. And I now have a great local plumber that can call on for e future.
Lets hope that is the ast of my watery problems for now!!
A cold and dull day here, just working at a nice easy pace, would like some incense, but once family mamber disapproves, so a cande will
do!!

Have a magical day!

Glad you’re leak free again speakout- good news!

Wow, What stunning photographs Violet and BlankTimes thank you both for sharing such wonderful energy with us. Very uplifting.

And a warm welcome from me too Lego 👋

Managed a few minutes by the river yesterday, the sound of it is so soothing

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing ok as we reach the end of another working week. I've had today off, it's the first day I've not worked for weeks and it's been lovely! Slept in until 9, which is unheard of for me, went to the supermarket, cleaned, laundry witching, exercise, dog walk... it's so nice to do everyday things and not be chained to me computer!

Blanktimes that photo of the full moon is amazing! Your DD must have a very good camera. My moon photos are always such a disappointment!

Yashmis thank you for sharing the river photo. I can almost hear the water running over the rocks. Very soothing, as you say.

Speakout I'm so pleased you managed to get the leak fixed, that must be a big relief!

Lego welcome! I love your user name btw. It made me smile as I have an adult DS who still has a bedroom full of Lego!

Good morning, a very quiet one here, I feel like the only person up in the world, its such a secret corner of my day.

Deluged with work at the moment, seems a lot of people are turning to pagan ways to help light their way through this crisis.
I had a quiet birthday yesterday, as an introvert I was rather glad at not being dragged out to a restaurant for a forced celebration!

Did manage to squeeze in quite a bit of pottering, so I was happy! All the trees I have planted are shooting up with vigorous growth, I am hoping they will also encourage more wildlife into the garden. I planted a growth stone wrapped in a parchment sigil under the root ball of each one to speed it on its way.

I have been reading about smudging, some really interesting articles about how smudge smoke can kill airborne pathogens, so not just a spiritual cleanser. I know that herbal smoke has been used throughout history during times of plague for instance. I am also a great lover of fresh air in my home to cleanse and uplft too though, and usually have the windows open even on the coldest days, even if only for a short time in the morning.
I have to brave the supermarket this morning, hopefully get there before it gets too busy, I’m just off for my morning yoga practice, I will light a candle at 8am this morning to send some calming magic to anyone who needs it.

RosesandIris · 18/04/2020 08:28

Happy birthday for yesterday speakout!
I am intrigued about the growth stone and Sigul. Could you explain how that works?
Loving the photos.

I feel really demotivated, unwell and fed up . This situation is really getting me down now.

speakout · 18/04/2020 10:53

RosesandIris Thank you,
Sorry to hear you are down and not feeling great- these are difficult times aren't they.
I think recognising our feelings and allowing them is important, but we can become overwhemed and struggle to swim upstream.

Finding strategies that work for each of us can be helpful in knowing how to deal with our emotions.
Often it us the small acts that help me, the candle, a few drops of essential oil, a calming cup or herbal tea. Physical activity, outdoor space, drawing or writing, music, barefooting, or lions face to the sun are all in my first aid kit.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

Not sure how the growth stone and sigil work- just something I like to do. I cleanse and charge a stone or crystal with growth energy, draw a sigil, and wrap the parchment around, before planting it under the base of the roots.
Just a little magical energy to send the sapling on its way.
I have braved the supermarket, and just about to make a pot of minestrone soup for lunch.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday for yesterday Speakout. I'm glad you enjoyed the day. Also I'm so pleased that you're busy and receiving lots of orders. I read a similar article about smudging recently too... another good reason to do it regularly!

Rosesansiris so sorry you're feeling like this. Are you physically unwell, or is it mental ill health? (Or both, as they are of course two sides of the same coin). Are you able to exercise? If so, maybe try a gentle work out to give yourself a lift, or maybe a walk if you feel up to it. Getting outside usually helps. Above all, be kind to yourself ❤️

I'm enjoying a relaxing morning. I started the day with a Body Balance online class, then a week shower with sweet orange oil. Now that the government have said it's ok to drive a short distance to exercise, I'm looking forward to heading over to my forest this afternoon and immerse myself beneath the trees.

Love to you all ❤️

Happy Birthday for yesterday speakout. I'm glad you had a good day.

Not sure what to do this weekend tbh. It's too wet to pick more herbs. I've made a master sigil for a new Goddess altar so that's done but I really need to find something constructive to do before I get myself into trouble....!

RosesandIris I'm so sorry you feel that way. I'm coping by ignoring all the news and concentrating on the "now" rather dwelling on how long this is going to go on for and what might happen in the future. No one really knows and I don't find the endless speculation at all helpful especially as news outlets seem to revel in putting a negative spin onto everything.

YashmisCrone · 18/04/2020 13:31

Happy belated birthday speakout! FlowersCake

speakout · 18/04/2020 13:32

Elphame thank you.

You are right about concentrating on the "now".

So much of our future is uncertain at any time- even when we think it is!
I am smiling at the idea of you finding trouble if you don't keep occupied- you sound like many of the women in our family!

Happy belated birthday Speakout

Thanks so much for saying that about the Moon photo Violet DD's over the moon now Smile Yes, it's a really good bridge camera, Canon PowerShot SX30 IS it has a fantastic zoom on it, but she has a natural talent for photography. Here's one she took in the garden of a collared dove sitting in our hawthorn hedge on 11 April. Since then, a lot of its leaves have appeared and it is covered in tiny buds, the other 2 pics are ones I took of the hawthorn in 2014. I like macro photography, but should have waited for better lighting. I'm not a good photographer, I just point and click and have no instinct for composition. My camera has a fault now, it won't lock the battery in place, I'd much rather have that fixed than get a new camera. I'll try and get it sorted after lockdown.

Rosesansiris Vitamin D3, only naturally obtainable from sunshine is a great mood-lifter and stabiliser, please get outside, your own garden will do if you have one, and just let it sink in.

I'm off to collect some potting compost I ordered, I have an urge to plant lots of bee friendly flowers, summer bulbs and and shrubs.

Elphame I agree about being in the Now. A good mindfulness practise helps with that.

Good luck in finding something constructive to do, I have the opposite problem, so many things to do and only me to do them. Better go and do a few to tick off my list Halloween Smile

VioletCharlotte · 18/04/2020 19:28

Blanktimes would you mind posting some suggestions of bee friendly flowers and shrubs? I'm so clueless when it comes to gardening, the only thing I ever really plant is Lavender!

Elphame your post made me smile Smile I hope you found something to do to keep you busy!

I enjoyed a lovely long walk in the forest this afternoon with DS1 and my dog. It was so quiet and peaceful and lots of bluebells.

Morning everyone!

Violet do you have an Aldi nearby? I thought these were a great idea so bought a packet. www.aldi.co.uk/butterfly-and-bee-seed-bombs/p/702373344901400

I've already started germinating my own pot marigolds which are also edible (Calendula Officinalis) Larkspur, Foxgloves, Lupins, poppies (not the cultivated showy ones) basically all the old fashioned cottage garden plants.

I've got wild marjoram and a few others which have just appeared in my garden, so hopefully I can add to the attraction for them. I've not mowed the lawns yet this year and see I have a solitary cowslip growing in one, I'll protect it.

Bushes, Buddleia attracts butterflies as does lilac. I'm not sure about any other specific ones.

I picked up 6 x 60 litre bags of compost yesterday, so plenty to be putting in tubs and borders. I've also got some areas at the front of the house that I'd like to make more bee and butterfly friendly too.

Happy magical planting!
