Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

DO - dh thinks our friends worship at the local Anglican church in the village which will be called the Church in/of Wales. Have a great break.

harrisey · 11/09/2007 08:05

Urrgh I have got the sick bug - was vomiting until 4, havent had enough sleep, cant face the trek to nursery with dd2 as I feel so awful (I have to take the train and a bus to get there).

And today is ds's 'stay for lunch' day at school, so I have to go to school at 12 and have lunch with him then bring him home - and I cant face eating anything OR the smell of school lunches in the canteen ............ urgh! But I have to go, I promised him I'd be there!

CaptainDippy · 11/09/2007 09:07

Oh harrisey Poop - hope you feel miraculously better asap - All those things you hve to do {{{{{hugs}}}} Anyone around who can help you out sweetie? Wish I was nearer - I would help!! I've only got the smallest fry today .....

MaryBS - How dare you insinuate that I wouldn't know who Zebedeeeeeeeeee was - It may be "before my time", but I LOVE the Magic Roundabout - It's the ring tone on my 'phone and the older DD's have an original 70's Magic Roundabout lampshade in their bedroom!!

DutchOma · 11/09/2007 10:08

Nice to 'see' you Slim22. We would be happy to pray for your needs if you so wished.
CD about your job, something will turn up honey, try not to worry too much.

Well, I think it must be a prayer thread bug because I was awake at 4 am as well, feeling yuk. Most unusual. I didn't go to the Faithworks meeting, nor to the shop, because there is an important meeting of our Community Action Team tonight and I want to go to that. Feel a bit better after sleeping till 9.30

Please keep praying for Mummy2TandF, she still has so much to cope with

MOrning all

good to see you Slim, you are more than welcome to drop by any time

praying fo rthe bugs in the Harrisey household, and elsewhere, that they go vry quickly, and that you get through lunch with DS Harrisey!

Praying too for your job amd financial situation CD, and for your peace of mind.

Mary, I am sure that your mail will be well received by the vicar. And if it is not it shouold be, your calling and vocation are clear to me, God has great plans for you and is doing great works through you (don't know exactly where that came from, think that GOd wants you to hear it honey)

I'm in a funny place right now, still quite wobbly regarding panic attacks and stuff, and I am worried about a friend. Also, a job that I thought might be a possibility is not to be . However, went ot a church meeting last night and am very encouraged and uplifted by that.

PandaG · 11/09/2007 10:41

also, we should be keeping those affected by 9/11 in our prayers today.

CaptainDippy · 11/09/2007 11:02

Yes, Panda, we should ... and {{{{{hugs}}}} and prayers for you too, sweetie!

DutchOma - hope you are feeling tip-top asap, poor thing. xx

CaptainCaveman · 11/09/2007 14:50

Panda - do you want a copy of the panic prevention CD I have? It's great!! Has worked for me.

Can you please pray for my friend who has her 20 week scan on 20th Sept at 11am, they are very excited about it (as am I!) and a little prayer won't go amiss.

I'm tired!!!!

DutchOma · 11/09/2007 14:59

Had my first full day of children being in school all day dd - reception and ds nursery and nursery plus or meithrin and meithrin + in welsh. Had a hosp app and did some house work, cleaned out the fish tank and had some time to do nothing. Felt very very strange. Can see i'm going to have to discipline myself to do things. Mind you have got tax return to fill in.

PandaG · 11/09/2007 17:07

THanks CC, I would mail me on pandag at safe hyphen mail dot net and I will give you my address.

Praying for your friend's baby too.

PandaG · 11/09/2007 17:08

weird with no children isn't it? I could waste so much time on here without them! Hope you soon get into the swing and routine of some time ot yourself NSFN

mufti · 11/09/2007 17:34

i do every day when ds sleeps PandaG

MaryBS · 11/09/2007 17:37

Panda, your comment made me catch my breath! I really don't know what to say, except "why me?". The best answer I heard for that was from an American evangelist "God chooses those who don't know what they're doing, so that they have to rely on Him".

geekymummy · 11/09/2007 19:33

hi everyone! I'm a bit new to MN, posted another thread on here and got directed to this prayer thread. I'm also a new mum, to a lovely 6mo DD.

Pleased to meet you all!

notsofarnow · 11/09/2007 19:35

geekymummy good to see you- we don't bite so chat and give us your prayer requests.

How is everyone doing?

notsofarnow · 11/09/2007 19:58

Friend just rang me to tell me another friend has just had surgery for detatched retina - she has to sit for 50 mins of every hour with her head forward. Please pray that her vision won't be affected i'm going to ring her tomorrow, but apparantly she is scared witless that she has lost her vision for ever she is only the same age as me.

CaptainCaveman · 11/09/2007 20:23

geekymummy · 11/09/2007 22:00

Thanks for the warm welcome

As for prayer requests, mine seem so minor! But here goes:

  1. Please pray for me, I haven't been reading the Word like I used to/should.

  2. I hate being a paranoid mum! I think I worry about my DD way too much already when I know that Jesus said I should cast my cares upon Him

ZipadiSuzy · 11/09/2007 23:10

Sorry just a flying visit - AGAIN just got back from work, gosh prayers for all those sicky bugs! {{{{{YUK}}}}}

CD - Heard any more about your job

Mary - BOING!

Sorry ladies, very behind on thread, nearly finished decorating, so time consuming whilst twins playing in mud making decorating seem pointless

Mufti - I do admin type things, in a leisure centre, plus am a swimming instructor, currently upgrading my level (starts sat) and its my birthday tomorrow, 46 yikes, I feel 86, twins want to know why I'm not having a party, so dh blown some balloons up for them - arh!

Welcome to all newcomers!

geekymummy - I'm soozi 46 (nearly) dh 54 ds 11yo and twins nearly 4, oh and a house rabbit called fifi, who doesn't appreciate her freedom in or out! - I think alot of the mummies on this thread suffer with depression/panic/anxiety problems, I think our expectations of parenthood don't help matters! prayers for your worries to be zapped away!

Ooh wouldn't that be nice!

Added prayers for 11/9 disaster!

Bobsmum - prayers for your pregnancy sickness, also yukky! I remember a whole 9 months with added bouts of fainting (even lying down)

Will have to catch up tomorrow, so tired, night god bless!

ZipadiSuzy · 11/09/2007 23:13
