Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

PandaG · 09/09/2007 20:56

Happy Sunday all

really good to see you CD. Praying that life does not run away with you, that God would give you a right sense of perspective. xx

MaryBS · 09/09/2007 21:04

See what happens when we start talking about her?

N. seems to be responding well to treatment, although she went home for the weekend last weekend, and because the treatment had temporarily stopped, it gave the bug a chance to "grow back". The Drs have discovered that the bug doesn't like oxygen, so they've been bombarding it with that. I saw her DH and the children at church this morning, everyone has been offering help and support, and I know this means a lot to them. Still, a difficult and uncertain time ahead.

I've written about a quarter of my essay tonight, which is good, trouble is, I can see I'm in danger of writing too much! Then I'll have to start cutting stuff out. And I'd quite like to leave in the amusing anecdotes, but not at the expense of the factual stuff (its supposed to be a talk for my congregation, and "my" congregation like the amusing stuff). Things like "William Laud moved the altar from the centre of the church to the East end, as the congregation were apt to hang their coats and hats on it, and use it as a leaning post during the sermon!"

worzella · 09/09/2007 21:30

Hi everyone - been back at work a week.... aagggh!! It's definitely over-rated! Seriously, it's been quite hard. DS2 has had a grumpy day at nursery so prayers for him would be good.

The 'road to maturity' as mentioned earlier is I think, a Mary Pytches series of 6 discussion evenings with CDs and booklets (like Alpha), it's a New Wine thing. Our small group has bought it, but haven't yet used it!

Hope everyone is OK - thanks DO for doing the thread. Praying for all that feel overwhelmed or sad.

My eye is better - and the DCs didn't get the virus so that was great!

notsofarnow · 09/09/2007 21:32

Thanks for your prayers girls am feeling a lot better. I hate those wobbler weeks because it just feels like the whole world is about to tumble in again. I so don't want to go back to those dark, dark days and I get so scared.

CaptainDippy · 09/09/2007 21:34

Hee! Hee!

Thank you for the update on N, Mary ..... Continuing to pray ..... and praying fory our essay too hon. xx

Right, neeeeeeeed to go to bed........

CaptainDippy · 09/09/2007 21:35

x-posted with Worz & NSFN - Glad eye is better, Worz, how's work hon? {{{hugs}}} to you NSFN - hope it is a much better week for you. xx

Night all. xxxx

DutchOma · 09/09/2007 22:24

CaptainDippy · 10/09/2007 10:34

I'm ok, DO, thank you for asking! DD's are good despite yukky colds (hoping I am not going to get it) ...... Weekend was ok - working all day Saturday (boo!); but went to church yesterday and then round to a lovely lady from churches' house for a yummy BBQ in the afternoon. Peace and quiet this morning and then complete mayhem this PM - have a couple of the girls' friends round to play and stay for tea ...... I must be mad!! How are you??

DutchOma · 10/09/2007 10:54

Fine, preparing for the holiday in a fortnight now because the week before it is going to be manic:- two meetings in Birminghan, a party for one of dh ex-colleagues, and then on Saturday the regional rehearsal for the choir festival in Guildford in October. Then my brother and sil are coming Sunday 23 and we are going Monday for a week. To Bala. So I'm doing as much organising and planning as I can now.
Have fun with the dds and friends this afternoon.

harrisey · 10/09/2007 11:30

Sounds nice DO

Well I was about to leave for the trip to nursery this morning woth dd2 (after other 2 had got on school bus) and just, JUST as we were going out he door she was sick all over herself and me! Bleauuuurgh! So I was sick too - I dont do sick well but dh was already off to work (we have done well he has 3 more weeks work before term starts which means he doesnt have to work at all during the college term!) - and I had to change us both and then stay home with her (I was going ot the library to work!) and now she is fine, being her cutesy self, and I am having a lovlely morning with her! (nanny arrives at 12.30 with ds from school).

So please, PLEASE pray the others and me dont also get it!!!

Mary - must be the first internet-connected upset stomach!!! Hope dh is feeling better!

ZipadiSuzy · 10/09/2007 11:37

Hia all, sorry been really busy decorating hall stair and landing, had you all in my thoughts every brush stroke

Yesterday we had Karate training/grading but didn't do a grading this time, felt I have reached my peak there! not fit enough!

Well another busy week ahead of us, twins start playgroup again today, after a very long summer break, ds doesn't want to go, pulling all the tricks in the book

DS1 went to school eventually this morning, after me helping him do last minute homework at 8.15am part of his dyslexia problem is organisation, I'd asked him to do his homework 500 times over the weekend!

ZipadiSuzy · 10/09/2007 11:44

CD - prayers for your feeling of boredom and frustration, its that 'over and over and over again' feeling, I keep trying to explain to my DH that when he has finished work, thats it, end product, lovely, ours is washing cleaning cooking ironing making beds, cleaning bedrooms etc then it needs doing again and again and again! BORING, me thinks I am a slave! and thats before I can have fun doing nice things with the children!

Anyway prayers for all us SLAVES out there

AND PLENTY OF HOT CHOCOLATE
