Prayer thread for September

Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

Worz, if I could help I would - Eng Lit homework I can mark...!

DS is poorly, threw up all over himself, book, pencil case, desk...you get the picture at school, and all over sofa, stairs, pillow, DH...at home. HOping and praying tha it clears up quickly and the rest of us don't get it. DH will take DD and your DS to school in the morning!

Are you sure that's OK - I have an 8.15 meeting...

I am praying for strength for me to see God in everyone. That I don't get drawn into petty politics and oneupmanship, but can keep my eyes on the Kingdom. That I can be patient and forgiving in the face of adversity. For then I will know it is God's will what I am doing.

Ok..... final client (remember one was early) text in the night... contractions starting, called this morning no real progression but much as last night. Now, I've printed off all my notes for my essay and will be writing the rest of it long hand ready to type up (sigh.........)

Can you guess what I'm about to ask? That's right..... please pray for another quickie but for her to not need me till tonight. That should give me time to finish work and get another chunk of essay done. Seems I will be hand delivering it on Friday!

Thanks for your kind messages. DS was fine all night, and this morning, up until he had some breakfast...He is snuggled up on the settee with water, a bucket and the tv remote!

Ds crying abut school this morning cos 'bad boy XXXXX' in his class was kicking him in the playground yesterday.

Have sent a note, but could you pray that he will be safe today, poor wee thing. If it happpens again I will be right round there!

Right ladies you really helped me out last time, and without being or seeming ungrateful i need your help again. Ok quick brief i had an interview last week and was offered the job .... bow the problem is yesterday i had a telephone call from another company that i applied with. Now this job has less hours (so i could spend more 'mummy time' at home) and its closer and a good environment iyswim. I am in such that they had even called me for interview! Interview at 12 today, please please just say a small tiny prayer that i impress them

about DS and the bullying, harrisey - must break your heart - I dropped DD1 off at Pre-School this morning and she wanted to join in an imaginary type game some other girls were playing and they told her "to go away cos they didn't want to play with her" She's only 3.7 yrs. Children can be so cruel. Good that he told you though Praying it can be resolved.

Don't apologise for coming here for prayer, WDIG - that's what we are here for! Great to "see" you again. Will definitely pray for the interview sweetie - let us know how it goes!

Well we are all okay. I chaired my first debate today (at work)! Great fun. And some good news - I saw my wonderful consultant yesterday who told me that my chest is all clear! Hooray! Thank you God!

Well the interview went ok the only problem which they failed to mention is they are relocating 20 miles away i would have thought they would have to mention it before but hey ho..... I will kepp you updated xx

School was fine for ds. "Bad boy x" was kept in at playtime today because he had been violent onthe school bus. Ds said his mummy had to come to the school to get him at hometime!!

So I wasnt imagining it, and its being dealt with.

Poor boy though. What makes you that violent at age 5? Hope they can help him to get over it.
