Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

harrisey · 25/09/2007 10:39

cheritongirl - just quick intro from me.

I'm 36, married for (almost) 13 years, got 3 kids of 7, 5, 3, and I am also a student. I'm in 3rd yr of a BA in Theology at International CHristian College in Glasgow, as is dh. I was a teacher and sahm before that, and dh is a GP so he does locums to pay our way.
Nice to meet you.

harrisey · 25/09/2007 10:40

And you can see my kids on my photo page in my profile.

cheritongirl · 25/09/2007 11:00

ooh lovely to see all your pics Harrisey and Captaindippy - can't belive you think i am busy, you have 3 kids each - and yours are so close in age captaindippy! how on earth do you cope?!
harrisey - i am obviously just a couple of years behind you, i'm well into cloth nappies etc.. and v interested in all the things you are studying!

CaptainDippy · 25/09/2007 11:10

I don't cope, I just exist!! I am esily as bonkers as Sooz!

CaptainDippy · 25/09/2007 11:13

...and I can't spell neither!!

CaptainCaveman · 25/09/2007 11:38

OOOOH will you get me! I have finished the work I intended to do today and have also chopped some irrelvant sections out of the beginning. Cool. Just the performance management bit to do, and then recommendations. Aaaaand relaxxxxxx.

CG, my official job title is 'Clinical Lead District Nursing', in reality this transpires to operational management and a bit of strategic development. I'm studying a post-grad diploma in public services management. Honestly it's really good fun, and I enjoy the sense of achievement after finishing an assignment. However, writing them is a bit like trying to heard neurotic cats, or knit fog (whichever is harder!).
Wow though, Law sounds v complex, I admire your dedication to that study!

Heya the rest of you nutters (I can say that because I really am nuts, the anti-mad tabs prove it )

If I had to make a choice, it would have to be lemon meringue pie hmmmmmmmmm

CaptainCaveman · 25/09/2007 11:39

not sure why that didn't put lemon meringue pie in bold then?

gotta go, off to work now!! byyeeee

TheQueenOfQuotes · 25/09/2007 12:20

two updates from me.

Firstly my parents made it down to Bristol safely, they spent the night next to my Grandad - who is still very poorly - and apparently last night he was very confused - asking for "jenny" (who was his keyworker when he and Gran moved to their first Care Home 7yrs ago!). Struggling to breath on just the oxygen but is being put on the nebuliser frequently which helps for the period that's he on it.

Secondly - woohoo - I think I can pretty safely say that DH and I are "back on track"......lets just say we went to bed at the same time last night .

Still hasn't said "I love you" - but then I've been thinking this morning that actually words can mean nothing, it's actions that count - and he's certainly being very loving towards me

mufti · 25/09/2007 12:26

This kiddy malarky is the most difficult job on this land, wish we could get a book and sort things out!

Worzella, wow I don't envy your list of jobs, especially year 7 (thats my ds) he has just had his 1st detention we did his homework at the weekend and he forgot to put it in his school bag for him! thems the rules hey, do the crime pay the time, cruel mother that I am, bless him, he's trying so hard, but 'organisation' isn't his strong point! a skill he has yet to learn, maybe I'm too soft on him. He makes my heart crumble.

Well just got home from work, am knackered (pardon my language) vulgar person sooz!!!!

Very tired got lots of homework to do tomorrow while twins at playschool, plus inset day 'already' prayers for a peaceful night.

Night God Bless! [yawn]
