Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

Praying for Pumpkin Sooz

Praying too for you CC, I can well remember being desperate to be pg the first time round, it does fill the mind somewhat! I hadn't found MN then, so I didn't have virtual friends to talk to when it was too soo to talk to RL ones iyswim

I am embarrassed I admitted to wanting a sulk - I did say I was trying to be grown up about it though!!

MaryBS · 18/09/2007 15:25

That's alright, I thought I was monopolising the team with my talk of Eggheads (I made the team btw!)

Panda, its your hormones dear you're getting to that age...

MaryBS · 18/09/2007 15:40

This was a plea for prayer on another board I'm on:

"Please pray for Andrew. He has been missing from home in Doncaster since Friday morning. This is completely out of character. Please could anyone reading this pray for his safe return. He is 5ft.3in., long light brown hair, squarish glasses, slight build, usually wears black skinny jeans, black rock band logo t-shirts and black trainers. If anyone should happen to sight him, the South Yorks., Police can be contacted on 01302 385146 or 01142 202020. "

Please pray for Andrew's safe return to his family...

Just had a look at the story of Pumpkin; what a very sweet moppet she is. Lord keep her and her parents safe and in your care

CaptainDippy · 18/09/2007 17:19

Prayers for Pumpkin and for Andrew!

Test CC Test!! (I tested 4 days before AF due with P and had a positive result!! )

I am tiiiired.

MaryBS · 18/09/2007 17:57

I tested a week early with DS (because I was in hospital and they wanted to xray me). Test was negative at that stage. I then tested 2 weeks later, having completely forgotten to check when I was due, when it was most def +ve! Go on test, put us out of our misery!

CD - YOU'RE not preggers are you? There DOES seem to be a lot of it about...

DutchOma · 18/09/2007 19:50

Could I please ask for prayers for Mummy2TandF. She is taking ds to the GP tomorrow to have him referred for tests for Marfan's syndrome, which may have been the cause of the dh's sudden death. Apparently it is genetic.
Also pray that she will be able to accept the help offered by other MN'ers and that the doctor will be able to help her calm down a little. It's only four weeks today that it happened, so it is to be expected that she is still overcome with grief, so she really needs to be able to accept all the help she can get.
Thanks.

Yeah, there does seem to be a lot of it about...

Congratulations Mary - can't wait to see you on TV!!!! When is it you go?

So I tested today and it's negative but then i expected that. I think I'll try again on saturday.

CaptainCaveman · 18/09/2007 20:14

I met dh on holiday in Turkey - we were staying in Marmaris. Where abouts are you going? I really like Turkey, brings back lovely memories

notsofarnow · 18/09/2007 20:46

we're going to one resort kiris. Not a clue about it really apart from its 50 mins drive from Antalya airport.

I'm sooooo excited.

Prayers please that dd will be off crutches its been 5 weeks i think. Flaming nightmare.

MaryBS · 18/09/2007 22:21

CCM - I go on Thursday afternoon. TBH I don't care too much if we don't win the money, I certainly don't expect us to. All I ask is that I don't make a complete fool of myself. Anyone remember that sketch from the Vicar of Dibley re: Mastermind?

"Who is the son of God"
"Jesus! I can't remember!"

Well my essay is about done, and emailed through to my unofficial tutor Rosey (Thank you Rosey!). I'm shattered! I think a glass of wine is in order!

Tomorrow, after work, I've got to tidy the house (OK, the bits people see) and THEN prepare the evening's Emmaus study session for that evening! Please God let some people come! So no time for swotting for Eggheads!

ZipadiSuzy · 19/09/2007 08:11

Gosh mary, thats short notice, will have to remember to set my video as I am at work, can't wait to see it! {{{{{{{{loads of luck}}}}}}}

DutchOma · 19/09/2007 09:12

Lots of luck Mary, I'll try and get someone to record it for me since our video has been broken and I want to replace the whole system. Is there anyone about who knows about digital t.v. DVD etc? i'd be most grateful for a bit of help.
I don't think I'll be back from my meeting

CaptainCaveman · 19/09/2007 09:18

Phew, just clicked on mn a few minutes ago and the site wouldn't open - I very nearly had to do some proper work instead!!!

Praying for a clear head today as I intend to plow on with my essay.

Well done Mary - glad yours is finished, and PRAISE GOD for your unofficial tutor .

I didn't know your dd was on crutches NSFN, whats wrong? Praying she's off them vv soon.

Happy Wednesday everybody - may God fill today with joy, happiness and blessings everywhere you look. I'm looking out of our back window and I really feel God is ALIVE out there today, showing me all the beauty He has created. Feels FAB!!!

WhereDoIGo · 19/09/2007 09:22

I would just like to give my deep heartfelt thanks to you wonderful wonderful ladies
After posting here i sent my CV to a job that although i have no qualifications i am experienced iyswim... They called me on Monday to invite me for an interview yesterday and by the time i had got home they were on the phone offering me the job!!!!!!!!!! {shock]
I am also going to CAB today to see if there anything i could do about this idiot. The word he used to refer to me was so degrading and my DH still wants to go and pay him a visit . I for one am going to make sure he feels as bad as he made me feel.

Again thank you xxxxxx

CaptainCaveman · 19/09/2007 09:31

WDIG! That is truly fantastic news, and evidence of God at work. So happy for you, give yourself a large glass of wine/bubbly! As for that fella, pray it all up to God and let Him advise you how to deal with it (as well as going to CAB)

WhereDoIGo · 19/09/2007 09:42

Captain - i truly believe that what goes around comes around! And also things happen for a reason. He will not know whats hit him when i finished

CaptainDippy · 19/09/2007 10:52

Boo! Feeling grotty today - yuk, but ok apart from that - Think P is grotty too as she's not been sleeping properly over the last couple of days - lots of grizzling etc .... Please pray we recover soon ......

[girn] WDID - Wow - fab news about the job and praying for your meeting with the CAB - Go WDID, Go WDID!!

Mary - I nearly choked on my toast when I read the post asking me if I was PG or not!!!!!! NO WAY!!!! Yey for Eggheads - we don't have TV here in DippyLand (very primitive, us) so if anyone records it, could they chuck a copy in the post for me!!? (We have DVD but no TV, iykwim!!?) Ta! Hope it goes well! GO LEFTIES!! How's the essays going?

Same for you CC, how's the studying going? You are such amazing women - studying and doing the child rearing thing - mucho respect here, think my brain fell out with my placenta - Read my dissertation the other day - was like reading another language - Couldn't believe I'd written it!

Happy Holidays NSFN and CC - v. of you both - you must be getting so excited now! Praying DD will be off crutches sooooooon, NSFN!

DO - Thank you for bringing Mummy2T&F to our attention once again - Have been thinking of her and praying lots recently. Praying for this hospital appt - would be great if they found something wrong and were able to do something about it, iykwim!!?

P crying again.

DutchOma · 19/09/2007 11:51

CD Hope you soon feel beter and P too. Are your mum and gran still with you?
NSFN I have tried to CAT you couple of times, but no reply.
WDIG - Congratulations. Forgiveness is a mighty experience but you will only manage it if you remember how much Christ has forgiven you. I'm not saying that you should just forget about what this plonker did to you, but once you have clearly set out where he "trespassed", you can then make a free choice to forgive him - no tresspass, no forgiveness needed. I have quite often found that it gives enormous release to forgive, and then to move on.
When do you start the new job?

It was a GP's appointment for Mummy2TandF, so hopefully she will get some help too

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 19/09/2007 12:04

Poor P - just woken up with a VERY dirty nappy and snotty nose. Now sat on my lap trying to "wrestle" me as I type this! Yes, mum and gran still staying, going ok enough atm, keep praying, going home Sat. How are you DO? xx

CaptainCaveman · 19/09/2007 12:39

Ha ha CD, they say you only have to have sex once to get pg (and I will be living proof of that if I am pg!!) Sorry if TMI...

Now up to 1400 words (only 3000 to go), so am treating myself to a break. I need to drive over to Ilkeston to pick up a parcel I ordered - my new hockey skirt. OOOOh I'm excited. Quite why they couldn't send it to a local depot and not one 15 miles away is beyond me but hey ho.

I know what you mean about reading old stuff you've written - I look back at some of my assignments and think 'blimey, where did that come from !"

Hope you and P are feeling better soon CD.

Praying for mummy2T&F, also for another thread - an mners exh is in intensive care following a vasectomy, they have 3 dcs together. From her profile page they don't look very old.

Hello all,

Lots of get well soon thoughts for you and P, CD. DS and I just getting over colds so can sympathise.

how exciting Mary - when will the show be screened or is it live? Will def tune in.

Sorry, DO no good at digital telly things here. That's DP's stuff. I would quite happily live without a telly but he insists on 300 channels of drivel

Looks like I will be returning to work at the biginning of November it makes sense to go back now for a few months so I can then claim mat pay for no2 but am hting the thought of leaving DS. He is going to go to the local nursery which I am sure he will enjoy. We ar egoing to view it tomorrow. Obviously my work do not know that I am pg again and I certainly won't be telling them til I return.

Hope everyone is ok on this cold and sunny day. Having a lovely lazy day at home with my scrummy little boy
