Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

It's something you should have such pride in Speakout, I can't imagine how tough it must be when you don't have that support. I think for some people who have been in that position, it definitely seems to make them want to give their own DC as much support as possible.

I really hope you have a positive and calm weekend, I'm just about to have a cup of tea then hopefully make plans for the day ahead

Thank you. THins are good right now.
Gales and blizzards here, just waiting for OH to get back from the Borders, then we will go out shopping. I have just bought myself lots of rings, I am not usually a jewellery person, but I loved the look of these ( and the price) now that I have manicured hands!!

A treat for myself!!

I love it that you’re treating yourself speakout- those rings are fit for a queen!
I’m also struck by the way in which you have become that wise and helpful person who was missing from your life in earlier years. You are a gift to your family and friends. You frequently inspire and lift me.

Tempest thank you for sharing your Stonehenge experience and those fabulous pictures. I’ve only ever driven past and i very much enjoyed experiencing it through your eyes. I also love it that you were there at 8am- how’s that for 8&8 energy!

A welcome quiet morning pottering here, I’m heading out to see what treasures I can find in the charity shops soon- my ideal Saturday!

My thoughts are turning to new directions and growth as signs of spring slowly unfurl. There’s uncertainty without which there wouldn’t be the opportunity for change so I’m embracing it .

Wishing everyone a magical weekend 💫

VioletCharlotte · 22/02/2020 11:33

Good morning sisters

Popping in for a catch up while I drink my coffee. Treating myself to a flat white and an almond croissant in cafe Nero after a tough body combat class... it's all about balance!Grin

InTheTempest I'm so glad you enjoyed your early morning visit to Stonehenge. I've been a few times, but only during general admission times, and found the crowds distracted from the spirituality of the stones. Your experience sounds great.

Speakout those rings are pretty. It's so good to hear that you're focusing on yourself a little. You do so much for your family and deserve a bit of pampering and some nice treats.

Yashmis hope you enjoy your day of pottering and find some treasures!

Thank you all for your kind words about DS. He's young and resilient and has bounced back and gone off to another city to stay with friends for the weekend and go clubbing.

Today's looking quite busy, after I finish my drink I need to pop into town for a few bits and pieces. Later I'm going to visit my Grandmother, and the dog will need a walk at some point. This evening I'm meeting up with some friends for a meal. I've no plans at all for Sunday and hoping it will stay that way.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ❤️

speakout · 22/02/2020 12:44

Thank you my magical friends- such kind and loving words.

YashmisCrone I hope you have some good charity finds. My favourite type of shopping too!
I passed by one of my favourites - they had a sale, and bought two lovely knitted cotton cardigans for £1 each- just what I need today, it's snowing heavily.

OP posts:
VioletCharlotte · 23/02/2020 09:27

After a spring-like day yesterday, it's wet and windy here again today. I'm relieved not to have snow like Speakout. I do love the snow and ice, but I'm ready for some sunshine and warmer weather now. I hope you're warm and cosy indoors.

Busy, but positive day yesterday. I seemed to have an abundance of energy and gave the downstairs of my house a deep clean, everything feels much fresher and the energy has lifted. I'm planning to tackle upstairs today. I enjoy cleaning, I turn the music up load and sing and dance while I work!

YashmisCrone · 23/02/2020 10:14

Same here Violet, it’s wild out there- I’m bracing myself for a trip to Tesco!
I did some clearing yesterday too and also sorted out my ever growing collection of essential oils. I mixed some bottles of these two blends, one for a relaxing pre- sleep atmosphere and the other I think really lifts the energy of the room. I’ve experimented with lots of these blend recipes and these two are my current favourites. I’ve also been learning about blending generally and creating my own recipes. My current favourite to mix with bath salts is sweet orange, geranium and frankincense..

I’m loving your omph and energy Violet- a goddess at work, bringing joy to the task- your home will be sparking with divine energy!

I’m going to make a roast for me and DS then family visiting later. It’s a joy to see how he’s grown these past few years and I’m finding these everyday tasks like cooking are such precious moments of connection. You are right about the alchemy speakout

Love to all for a nurturing Sunday ✨

Morning everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend...

Speakout I love those rings, you definitely should treat yourself. It's a vital part of self care and gives a boost in this horrible weather. I do like seasons and rainy days but I'm tired of it now, I want some sun and warmth!

Yashmis I hope you managed to find some treasures in the charity shops, those essential oils sound wonderful. I love making 'potions' as my DC call them with essential oils. Your bath salt blend sounds wonderful, I must try that.

Violet you've inspired me to get and finish my cleaning and tidying, I always feel so much better for it.

I went to Glastonbury yesterday as a last minute thing as it's another of my happy places. Had a wonderful time, popping in and out of the shops. Bought a few things in Starchild and also this beautiful box canvas picture of the tor. It must have been made for me, the colours go perfectly in my bedroom. I love adding subtle hints of witchiness around- not full on pentacles and besoms (although if I had a kitchen it would be a proper witches kitchen 🧙‍♀️) but I have this, and my goddess statues, hares and other trinkets. It cheers me to be surrounded by it.

Have a wonderful day everyone ⭐️

The sun has come out (still accompanied by a feroucious wind, but still) and my sheets are blowing in the wind.
Another lovely bike ride home from junior parkrun this morning.
Yesterday was World Thinking Day at Guides and I took my Brownies to a district campfire, which turned out really well despite the freezing drizzle. I love taking them out and about to experience the outdoors!

Ogress · 23/02/2020 15:35

Enjoying all your positive stores this weekend.

Love that picture, @InTheTempest. Glastonbury is one of my happy places too, and I've had some lovely times on the Tor (I also love a good rummage in the shops, too!).

I was worried when I woke up to shrieking gales and rain hammering on my window as I'd volunteered at a nature reserve today. Thankfully, it was gorgeous while we worked, with the sun pouring through the trees. It was hard work - lopping up huge snarls of old dead wood and weaving it into bramble hedges, and planting wildflower seeds in spaces we cleared. It felt very good for the soul, though - the dead wood is still there to be broken down, but now in repaired hedges that will make a perfect nest site for birds, and leaving space for new growth where it lay.

VioletCharlotte · 23/02/2020 18:46

InTheTempest
I love that canvas, it's beautiful. I'm glad you had a lovely day at Glastonbury. I'm going there in April for a yoga retreat, I'm so excited! I've been a few times, but this will be the first time I've stayed there.

Rivier
I was thinking about Brownies the other day actually. I went to a yoga/ sound bath event on Friday night. We were all sat round in a circle, wrapped in blankets, sipping hot drinks and chanting, and it reminded me of being on a Brownie camp! There's something special about sitting in a circle and singing with other women and girls. It's great that you make the time to volunteer.

Ogress likewise, I think it's wonderful that's you gave up time on your weekend to volunteer on the nature reserve. Volunteering is one of those things I'm always saying I'm going to do, but don't seem to quite get round to. You've both inspired me to start looking again for opportunities Smile

Yashmis
Thank you for sharing those essential oil blends. I'm going to try the pre-sleep one tonight. I've been experimenting a lot with oils too. A new tip I discovered recently is to put a few drops of oil on the pad for the steam cleaner. It makes the room smell gorgeous.

I've had a busy, but productive day. The whole house now feels much cleaner and brighter. The rain stopped this afternoon so I was able to get out for a nice walk in the sunshine with my dog. I made a lentil casserole for dinner - very easy and delicious. I've added a link to the recipe in case anyone is looking for ideas.

Blessing to you all for a relaxing Sunday evening 🙏

BlankTimes · 24/02/2020 17:45

I have a few minutes so thought I'd park the broomstick by the Aga and put a brew on, anyone fancy one?

What a very intemperate day, I woke up to a blanket of snow, it looked like Winter wonderland, then by lunchtime it was very thick fog, mid afternoon after rain and drizzle the snow had completely gone and now we're back to severe gales again. Never a dull moment!

Wow InTheTempest your Stonehenge experience was something you can treasure for the rest of your life. I've only visited SH when we've been passing in transit to elsewhere, but would one day love to walk among the stones there when it's quiet. Love the Tor canvas too, especially the minerals under it.Reminds us there's more to a place than what we see with our eyes.

Yashmis that Liquid Sleep recipe is definitely a cracker, I could feel myself winding down as I read it!

You all, especially Violet and Speakout seem to be so busy dashing here and there with loads of family commitments and self-care thrown in and achieving Good Things.
I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts, the ambience on this thread is lovely. I seem to be still emerging from hibernation this year, no doubt I'll be up and running soon, the rest has been beneficial.

I came across this photo of Callanish (on the isle of Lewis) recently and it's one of the most evocative ones I've seen. It's copyright so please do not copy it and share it elsewhere.

Ogress · 25/02/2020 18:19

@VioletCharlotte thank you! It's the first time I've volunteered, though I've been meaning to for a very long time, too. I'm going to try and make it a habit.

By the way, I think it's all your yoga-related posts that have inspired me to take it up again. This morning, I rolled out of bed and did some Yoga with Adrienne on Youtube for the first time in about a year! It was a good start to the day.

@BlankTimes I love that photo of Callanish even though it makes me feel wistful: I lived in Scotland for a long time but I really didn't make the most of it, and I need to rectify that.

VioletCharlotte · 25/02/2020 20:52

Ogress that's great you've decided to start practising yoga again. Adrienne's videos are good. Yoga is like magic, practising regularly has been life changing for me.

Blanktimes thank you for the links. I'd love to visit Callanish. I've always felt really drawn to Scotland. I've only been once (weekend in Edinburgh) but I felt so at home there. I'm convinced I lived there in a past life.

It's turned really cold again today, although no snow here fortunately! I've been working from home, another busy day, but feeling relaxed from being in my own environment, with my candles burning.

Yashmis I used your essential oils sleep blend last night and also gave myself a foot massage with lavender oil. I had the best sleep I've had in a long time, so deep and restorative!

Another busy day tomorrow. I'm going to be presenting to over 100 people, so I'm doing some visualisation work to give myself confidence!

r0sebuds · 26/02/2020 23:22

(Knocking shyly on the door of the cosy witches' kitchen)
Would it be OK if I joined you all around the aga? I think I'm ready now.
I came across your first thread when it was just a few pages old. It awakened my curiosity, got me out barefoot in my garden at night and in retrospect I realise now that it set something in motion. Since then I'd pretty much forgotten about this place, consciously at least.
I've had a tough couple of years emotionally (perimenopause, work stress, teenagers, sick relatives, general ups and downs of life leaving me quite depleted), and have felt at times like I was falling into a depression. But at the same time I seemed to know that I wasn't ill but rather out of sync, not in tune with who I really am or could be. Not in need of medecine but in need of knowledge/wisdom/clarity or whatever. And for some reason, just before the New Year I looked for you. Since then I've been reading the different threads, almost every night, and for the first time in a very long time I feel good. Acceptance, boundaries, self-love and self-care finally make sense!
Others have said it before but the space you have created here is just amazing. Those of you who contribute regularly know how powerful the warm and nurturing energy you have created is, how rich and deep your collective wisdom is too, but it carries far beyond yourselves.
So a huge thank you to you all, special mention for Speakout without whom none of this magic would have been possible, from me and on behalf of the many others who are surely out there still lurking or who have yet to find you.
I'm not a witch but can relate to much of what you believe and share, especially the love and respect for nature, the goddess/goodness in every one of us.
I've learned so much reading you and getting lost down the wormholes.
I'm not sure what I can contibute other than my energy and intentions, but I would very much like to move out of the shadows and come sit in the light with you, sipping my peppermint tea as I continue my journey.

r0sebuds · 26/02/2020 23:23

Crikey - sorry for the essay Blush

BlankTimes · 27/02/2020 00:35

Welcome r0sebuds grab a beanbag and enjoy your tea, so pleased you like our witches kitchen, it's warm, cosy, welcoming and above all open to anyone who would like to come and share our lifestyles Halloween Smile
Have you joined in the daily 8+8's, they can be very powerful too and a great way of bonding, giving and sharing.

r0sebuds · 27/02/2020 13:37

Thank you for the warm welcome BlankTimes
I do light a candle morning and evening, although not always at 8. It's such a simple thing to do and yet so uplifting and grounding too.
And I love the idea of creating a storm of powerful feminine energy!

YashmisCrone · 27/02/2020 13:46

Just flying by on my lunch break- time seems to be slippery this week!

A warm welcome to r0sebuds, I’m so glad you joined us. Your post was beautiful to read and warmed my heart 🙏

I’ll join you in gratitude for our gathering and for speakout who’s powerful magic manifested this wonderful place of support, learning and as you say, powerful female energy. It’s an honour to be part of and has enriched my life, strengthened my own magic. Long may it last 💫

Thank you sisters for all the inspiring posts, wormholes and sharing. Fascinating and uplifting as ever. It’s a joy to read even though I’ve run out of time again to respond!

Love to all x

speakout · 27/02/2020 14:20

It's good to be here Smile

I'm not sure what I can contibute other than my energy and intentions,

That is a huge contribution. In a society where women are conditioned to tear each other down, It is good to have a soft landing space where we can tolerate differences, support and empower each other.
Tonight I too am in need of peppermint tea. a tough week, with no respite in sight. I am supported by the amazing women on this thread, their wisdom and insight. Wise women, witches, wiccan, and all who seek to seek joy in their own power.
r0sebuds your words have touched me more than you realise. The suggestion that this thread is a manifestation of magic- thank you. I have been doubting myself this week, and your words are powerful and nurtuting. You have such intuition. Thank you.

VioletCharlotte · 27/02/2020 18:36

Just flying in to top up everybody's tea and send some solidarity. The last few week's seem to have been tough for a lot of people. 2020 has come in like a lion, it's felt intense, fast paced, brutal weather, and challenges and demands coming from every level, nationally and globally, as well as locally and in our own lives. I'm battle scarred, but still fighting and won't give in!

I'll echo what others have said and say a big "thank you" Speakout for this thread and to you all for the warm and supportive community we've built here. You've all become so important to me.

Rosebuds welcome 🙏 It's wonderful to have you with us. You have a beautiful energy ❤️

Yashmis I know exactly what you mean about time being slippery, that's a very good description!

Just off to yoga now, hoping it will work it's magic and I'll come away feeling less frazzled!

Your words are like jewels. I'm battle scarred, but still fighting and won't give in!. Wisdom for us all!
demands coming from every level, nationally and globally, as well as locally and in our own lives. I have had similar, but even strugging to get to yoga right now..
Not defeated yet though!

On a bright note- I hung out some laundry today. Some towels, heavy cotton clothes. The sun was bright, clear sky, a fierce biting wind, but after just a few hours everything was almost dry, soft from the wind pummeling and smelling of forest and earth.Sparking with energy as I piled my basket.Amazing to do some laundry magic again.
I have hung things on drying racks and the scent of outdoors is perfuming the house.
