Beautiful moon, almost full. That is so exciting to go watch your DS to play a gig, but understandable that you don't want to brave the elements!
Both christmas trees have lights on, but no decorations- DD usually wants to get involved with that, but has Uni exams tomorrow and Friday, so has been studying for the past few days.
The trees still look good with just lights for the moment though!!

Hi

I wonder if you ladies might help me. I'm a fellow practitioner and have been on the thread before, I like to change my Username and stay anonymous but it's nice to see you all ❤️

I'm single and looking and was reflecting on some of my romantic feelings for different men, past and present and which if any were worth pursuing so I picked a Tarot Card for each man and asked my cards to show me what a relationship with each was or would be like

First was King Of Cups

For him I got Queen Of Pentacles, Temperance and The Empress

From this I interpreted that we would be comfortable financially, but he might be quite draining/demanding emotionally and seek to be mothered.

The Emperor

For him I got Knight Of Pentacles, 10 of Pentacles, Five Of Swords

From that I got that we would have a steady, long term prosperous relationship if it was pursued but that he wouldn't play fair in arguments and might say nasty and vicious things.

Knight Of Cups

I always get the Knight Of Cups for this man.

I got it with 7 of wands and The Hanged Man, I interpret that as the need to compete and the need to make sacrifices but I got it with 9 of Cups which I have always seen as a Genie granting wishes which might indicate that the Knight Of Cups is the suitor to pursue

I'd really appreciate other Tarot enthusiasts thoughts on this as I am considering doing a reflective ritual later tonight, it being a Full Moon

I hope what I have posted is within the acceptable remit of the thread

Blessings to all

VanyaHargreeves

Welcome to the thread- lovely to hear of your path and interest in Tarot.
Tarot can be a useful tool and help give us insight
into situations.
For me real life judgements tend to be my first port of call.
I have no relationship advice I'm afraid, but I do hope you find what you are seeking.

VanyaHargreeves · 11/12/2019 19:08

Hi there speakout yes I do reflect on real life encounters and the spread was for "a little bit of backup but is so close to my intuition and internal musings in some ways that I'm worried that it's just confirmation bias, if that makes sense. ?

speakout · 11/12/2019 19:14

VanyaHargreeves if that reflects your own judgement then sounds perfectly valid. Tarot can be a useful tool.

A really beautiful moon this evening. It was rising as I was heading home from work. I had a beautiful view of the almost full moon in the sky over the sea with varying shades of blue, through the window on the train.

I had a good go at Christmassy things yesterday: cards written, a few presents wrapped and most of a scarf knitted. Carried on today with a post office run on my lunch break, more wrapping and more knitting in a minute.
I am currently ordering a last few presents, have addressed and stamped the envelopes.
I'll go for a walk in the moon and post the letters in a minute, then watch something christmassy with the advent candle whilest knitting.

Great to hear your festive plans are progressing. We now have both trees up- lights on, but DD has two Uni exams tomorrow and Friday, and although wants to decorate them has been busy studying.
I still have quite a bit of gift shopping to do, but no work now until January, and OH only has 4 days until he breaks up for christmas, so will be plenty time.
I have spent a lot of time today sorting out packing materials and spices, materials, ordering new supplies.
So glad I made it to the gym today, A vigorous class, but a reminder of why I exercise. Was a good emotional clear out.

Just recently joined the forums here.
I would think i have considered myself Pagan since Primary School sitting thing the Christian assemblies we had to sit through sounded a load of rubbish!
We celebrate the turning of the year quite gently with our children. Very proud of my Daughter last Winter when she, off her own thoughts, decided we needed to take our Solstice bread outside to show the moon and ask it to tell the sun to come back!

But anyways, I wanted to share that I am excited to be having a Yule feast! Due to my Mum's work, we are celebrating with them on the 22nd, so going to have a proper feast, presents and celebrate Yule. Was also my Grandad's birthday, so that's a nice extra.
Have my Yule log decorated and ready.

speakout · 12/12/2019 05:35

WeirdPookah a warm welcome, always good to have new faces in the group. And good to hear of your Yule plans.
I celebrate Yule, have a ceremony at Solstice and indulge in a fun secular christmas too.

Today is Lucia- celebrated in Nordic countries, a festival that can be traced back to the worship of Sunna- the ancient Sun goddess.
THought I'd share this lovely video of a woman celebrating Lucia- Jonna Jinton.

rivierliedje · 12/12/2019 08:19

What a wonderful, warming video.
I used to have an American Girl doll who had a saint lucia dress and candle crown 😊

YashmisCrone · 12/12/2019 15:46

Just swinging by on a tea break, lovely to catch up with friends and welcome new members to our moot.

Thank you for the video speakout, and I love the idea of Sunna, I will be tuning in to her energy as I continue with my afternoon.

I was admiring the beautiful moon too in the wee small hours. A beautiful Gemini cold moon to boost us with lovely mercurial energy through gloriously enveloping dark nights and propel us through our days.

Love to all x

A wonderfully warm relaxing night here.Just had a soak in the bath and relaxing with some herbal tea. A purring cat by my side kneading her blanket.
I have been reading some thread posts from last year at this time ( thanks for the idea YashmisCrone- and stunning photograph too!) and the energies that everyone was /is feeling is so similar.
Dealing with the conflict of having to do so much, finishing tasks at work, trying to prepare for christmas yet yearning to slow down.

I am off for an early night- an early start tomorrow for yoga and will make quick stop to a retail park as soon as shops open. I know exacly what I want though and won't linger!! Two shops and back home by 9.30am!!
I hope everyone has a peaceful night.

Speakout what a beautiful video, thank you so much for sharing. Watching it has made me feel so calm and peaceful. I love learning about different festivals and celebrations. I've always felt really drawn to Nordic countries, I'd love to visit one day.

Vanyahargeeves
I read tarot intuitively so I can't really give you much insight into what your cards are telling you. As Speakout says, listen to what your instinct is telling you about these men. I find it very difficult to read for myself as I'm never sure if I'm interpreting the cards based on my own desires!

Riverliedje so lovely to hear from you. I hope you enjoyed your walk and managed to see the moon.

Wierdpookah welcome to the thread. Come and join us around the fire 🔥

Yashmis beautiful picture of the moon, thank you for sharing. This feels like a really powerful one doesn't it? I was reading a post about it earlier - it may have been Alex Myles, who I think you follow too. If I can find the post again I'll share it.

YashmisCrone · 12/12/2019 22:39

Ooh Violet was it this one?

That does sound powerful. It feels it too Crown Smile

speakout reading your post made me feel calm and relaxed. Hygge by energy osmosis! Thank you.

rivierliedje it is lovely to see you here and hear of your seasonal activities. Your childhood doll sounds fabulous!

VanyaHargreeves it was interesting to read your tarot interpretation. I agree with the others about following your intuition. It sounds like your intuition is telling you that Mr. Knight of Cups has the energy that resonates most with you. Exciting stuff, watch this space eh?!

WeirdPookah your Yule feast celebrations sound lovely. I agree all the more special for having that ancestor connection.

FilledSoda I loved reading about your synchronicity. I also hope you’re able to go gently on yourself while your energy levels are low. Sending love to you x

VanyaHargreeves · 12/12/2019 22:49

Yes @VioletCharlotte ! and @YashmisCrone

. I find it very difficult to read for myself as I'm never sure if I'm interpreting the cards based on my own desires!

Exactly so

That's why I posted to see if anyone would have a different twist on those combinations. If people are reticent to do that, that's OK but I know that cards can change based on those around them and was just hoping for fresh eyes.

The Knight Of Cups... I find him hard to think about because I get very emotional and it was quite surprising to see the most promising card land in his group.

YashmisCrone · 12/12/2019 23:25

I understand what you’re saying Vanya, I think matters of the heart can cause us to feel confused to say the least. When it gets confusing I think it can be a message from our higher self to take a step back, bring our power back to ourselves- the answer will come when we loosen our grip on needing it. What’s meant for you won’t pass you by. Sounds trite I know but I’ve found it to be true for me. I can’t help further with card combinations, I’m not a very technical reader.

Still on the subject of this powerful full moon, I thought this was insightful too:

Good morning queens.
I'm feeling quite unsettled this week. I've been mindful this year to try and enjoy this time of year and take things easy. Presents have been bought and wrapped, decorations are up and I've only committed to the social events that mean I get to spend time with people that really matter to me. I have kept self-care (in all it's forms at the forefront of my mind) However, life loves to throw in a few curveballs doesn't it?! Home life great, work life turned on it's head...
I've had a 'troublesome' client for several years now and things finally came to a head. I sprint away from confrontation but sometimes we just have to straighten our crowns and face our fears. I stood my ground on an issue I felt very strongly about and it didn't go down well so may well have just lost one of my highest paying customers. The relief and weight off my shoulders will be better priceless though.
You are so right @speakout, self care isn't always candles and chocolates. It can be really hard. But worth it in the end. I'm hoping the new moon tonight will bring with it some positivity and allow me to put this behind me.
Sending love, light and strength to you all.
Have a lovely weekend

speakout · 13/12/2019 10:56

littleninja

we just have to straighten our crowns and face our fears I love that.
And you stood brave like a warrior. We are all behind you!

Sounds like this client has been an energy drain for some time. And you stood your ground, spoke your mind.
Your concerns are valid, but new ways will unfold as a result I am sure. If you lose the client then you gain relief from a burden and clarity. In my view clearing space in our lives often finds something new and exciting creeps in....
Your client may have listened to you, and you may find a new dynamic evolves between you in this working relationship- an improved version of what exists now.
So either way it's a win!!

For thos of us who love laundry magic, a really interesting articel about the magic of clothes pegs! I love mundane magic!

pegs also carry overtones of ancient mystery. In Britain they were made from two woods, willow and hazel, with magical associations. (Americans prefer ash and beech.) Willow is therapeutic, and soothes pain. In many cultures it is a tree of conversation and communion, of secret answers shrouded by leaves beside singing rivers. Its wood has something of the spring of water in it: that same elasticity that allows it to be woven into fences, baskets and traps, and can be sensed when a cricket bat, the finest use of willow, shivers under the ball. Hazel is watery, too: the favourite wood for dousing. The dowser’s forked stick is like nothing so much as a larger-scale peg, with the legs pulled outward.
Britain’s early pegmakers were woodland bodgers in open-sided shacks, farmers keeping idle hands busy in winter, and, especially, gypsies. Like the other items in the gypsy’s basket — lucky charms made of recycled tin, bunches of white heather tied with a ribbon and artificial orange flowers, somewhat like chrysanthemums, created by whittling slivers from an elder branch — pegs carried a hint of ancient magic. Gypsy pegs had a streaked, rough-hewn look, as if brushed with ash from the open fire, and a little ring of reclaimed tin near the top to hold the wood together. In other ages and places gypsies had been smiths and metalworkers, implying brief spells of settlement; the tin ring was a relic of old trade. In modernising Britain, where they were continually moved on by the police, they relied for their livelihood on roadside, riverbank or passing woods: itinerant production from whatever grew wherever they chanced to be.

Although pegs might suggest domestic servitude and toil, they also asserted possession, tidiness and small, quick triumphs: a full, billowing clothesline is a victory of sorts.

Hello. New to this board but I’ve so enjoyed reading all your posts. You all sound so wonderful and grounded. I’m looking for some help please which relates to the self care theme I suppose. I need to have a difficult conversation next week. Do you have any suggestions which could help me stand firm and feel stronger? This time of year like most I feel absolutely in need of quiet and calm so could do with a boost of confidence and some boldness. Thank you kindly everyone.

VioletCharlotte · 14/12/2019 10:03

Flying in to say a quick good morning. I'm picking DS1 up from university today to bring him home for Christmas... I'm beyond excited! He can't wait to come home too, he tells me he's missing his own bed, home cooking and our dog!

Darling coffee welcome to the thread 💫

If you're feeling anxious about the conversation, I would use this weekend to do some grounding and practise staying in the moment to help prevent your mind going into overdrive and overthinking things. Yoga and meditation can help with this. A visualisation I find powerful is to focus on your root chakra and visualise roots going down from your body, deep into the earth, keeping you rooted and grounded.

To take control of the conversation, plan out in advance what it is you want to say and how you want to come across. You will be much more credible if you can remain calm. If it's about something this person has done or how they have behaved, focus on what has happened as a result to help them understand the impact. Try not to accuse, instead of 'you've done XYZ', used phrases such as 'this makes me feel...'

Be very clear what you want to happen as the result of the conversation, and check the person understands; don't be ambiguous.

Be kind to yourself afterwards and plan something nice to help you relax ❤️

Good morning sisters,
A wild and windy one here, feels good for shaking up flagging energy- invigorating!

speakout I absolutely loved reading the clothes peg article- thank you for sharing it. Magic in the mundane is one of my favourite things too. I love it because it’s always there, just below the surface of whatever our task in hand is. Again I think it’s about integration as opposed to separateness- my planned spells and rituals are magic and washing clothes, cooking and going about my daily tasks are magic too. A lovely reminder, thank you.

littleninja it was so good to read your post. Your power is high and you have embodied the queen in all her sovereignty. Very beautiful and very inspiring 🙏

Violet how wonderful that your DS will be home today, I love the feel of your excitement. Enjoy every well deserved minute of connection Crown Smile

DarlingCoffee welcome, I’m glad you’ve joined us. I think Violet’s ideas are fabulous and I agree with her wise words. A few thoughts for me on a similar vein:
You could join us in the embodiment of queen energy Crown Wink

Put on your crown and robes and ask how the queen of your life would handle this situation. Take a step outside of yourself and watch her do it. Practice saying what you need to with confidence.

When I need to amp up my energy field of project a certain way of being, I’ll start with cleansing- salt bath, laundry magic (laundry with added intention, sometimes using essential oils, moon water and harnessing the power of the elements etc), smudging etc. Then I’ll focus on building my aura up using different colours in my clothes, a crystal in my bra, a piece of tissue with essential oils that boost me the other side, something shiny to deflect unwanted energy back to the sender, a pendant charged in the moon or the sun to strengthen me and help me feel part of the whole- my energy working in tandem with the elements and the magic all around us. I also use meditation to boost my confidence and belief in myself, sometimes I’ll do a shamanic journey to meet a guide and they may share an insight or give me something to aid my journey, or a specific animal totem who will give me the ‘medicine’ that will help. (Violet shared a shamanic journey on the thread a while back, I can’t find it atm but you may stumble across it if you’re reading back)

All ways of building layers of the energy I want to project, messages to myself of what I am capable of, in turn giving me confidence. Little tweaks and symbolism go a long way I think.

WeirdPookah you’re welcome for the welcome! Look forward to chatting to you more.

Wishing everyone a magical Saturday 💫
