Lovely to hear of your journey too speakout, I can also relate to the small workings in childhood. I’ve never been part of a coven or working group but was definitely more ceremonial in my solitary practice in my younger adulthood.

Fascinating to reflect on how our practice develops and changes over time. I’d be interested to hear others’ experiences too.

I’ve been thinking more about midwinter crafts and projects and loved this Yule goddess/corn dolly decoration. I haven’t found any instructions to go with it... Also been looking at cinnamon stick candle holders, salt dough star decorations and garlands made from dried orange slices, bay leaves and star anise. I don’t know how much I’ll get round to but it’s definitely what I’d prefer to be doing than rushing round shops, overbuying food etc!

I’ve been trying out this oil blend to lift my spirits and wanted to share it in case anyone else would benefit. Also stumbled across this reminder of the pagan origins of the trees we bring in and decorate at this time of year.

After my browsing I feel more than ready to hibernate and play with winter crafts in the shadows, away from the mass hysteria out there. Anyone want to write me a note for work?!

I've just let the dogs out and saw this. I've been here 18 years and never noticed it before. I think it's rather lovely. Does anyone else see what I can see ( triple moon in a heart) or is it just me?

It's a reflection coming off something. I can't work out what though. There is a glass conservatory next door so perhaps it's that. Odd it's never appeared before. It was lovely to see though. It's funny how little things can mean so much

That's really interesting! I wonder if it is the low winter light breaking through the conservatory glass?

I have been for a run, done two loads of laundry (drying outside now, after the drizzle stopped), made a loaf of bread, made an attempt at vegan 'cheese' making, made a first batch of gluten free/vegan gingerbread biscuit stars and feeling generally christmassy.
My other half gave me an advent calendar this morning which was lovely.

Drying washing? In this weather? There's a hard frost here!

Been lovely here today too. Cold (although again positively toasty in comparison) still and clear.

had to get out so went to the coast. The sea was still, the sun beautiful and low in the sky. I loved the way it created pools of warm glow on the surface of the water. Came back with pockets full of beach treasure, sand in my boots and a lighter spirit.

Yashmis I'd like a note for my work too! Like you, I'm very much feeling the urge to hibernate. Ideally the next few weeks would be spent indoors crafting, cooking, reading and doing yoga, with the occasional winter walk! Sadly, it's not to be ☹️

It's cold here too, but certainly nothing like the -6 you're experiencing Speakout! I went out for a walk with my dog this afternoon, the sky was fabulous.

I can see the potential for a good read but wondering what slant it’ll take on witchcraft. Like speakout, Christmas shopping is making me want to treat myself! I haven’t read a good story for ages..

I've been hibernating and doing some tarot study all weekend. Rested and ready for work today , well probably until lunchtime when I'll be fighting sleep .

Morning everyone

I hadn't asked for a sign but I've taken it as an affirmation that I'm as I should be (if that makes sense).

It was a rather lovely moment, very personal. A little like when I finish a shift late at night and it's been a rubbish day and and I feel rubbish and there's the moon, shining for me saying ' keep going, I'm here and all will be well'.

That's lovely , I'd interpret it the same way .
I make a note of things like this . I've started to realise they can happen quite often when you pay attention and it's interesting to have a record of them.
The messages I've had have been a tremendous comfort to me.

It's been a beautiful cold and crisp day here, the skies have been amazing. This morning the sun was low and looked just like a ball of fire on the horizon. And the moon tonight was so bright. My commute was actually pretty enjoyable, I had to resist stopping to take photos!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I've started a new job and I am tired and finding a new balance.

I come with sad news, my little familiar was put to sleep this evening. She had been poorly for a few days and it turns out she had cysts all over her kidneys. I always knew I would have to say goodbye to her one day, I just didn't expect it at the age of seven.

I cuddled her the day I got her as an 8 week old kitten and today I cuddled her as she left this world.

Oh I’m so sorry for your loss Salem
