Good evening sisters,
I hope everyone is feeling peaceful and is able to take time to rest and replenish.
RoseQuartzGlow you are very welcome here, I’m glad you’ve posted too.
Violet thank you, I am feeling peaceful and happy this evening too. Glad to hear you’ve had a good
yoga session, I hope you sleep well.
I agree it’s something us women often need to work on in order to protect our own energies. Alongside our empathy I think we are taught we’re the emotionally strong ones, often we are.
Women throughout the ages have needed to be emotionally resilient, take it all in our stride and our strength is admirable. But it doesn’t mean that we can or should fix everything for everyone else.
By pushing our own needs aside to attend to others we can lose touch with what they are. I think it takes practice to retune and attend to our own needs. But it is crucial if we are to stand in our power.
I think changing the way we interact with others requires us to be gentle with ourselves. Building new neural pathways can feel strange because it’s unfamiliar even when we know it’s the right thing to do. Working on my saviour complex has probably been one of the scariest and most rewarding things I’ve done.
I forgot about the roadworks on my usual route home this evening so my 20 minute journey turned into an hour. A quick reframe from frustration, I took the opportunity to listen to an audiobook. Interesting stuff on the subject of how we’re programmed:

I know I’ve shared it before but it’s the same woman who did this TED talk about the power of vulnerability:

Interesting groundwork for the incoming shadow season
Wishing everyone a restful night
