101 Experiments in the Philosophy of Everyday Life

Has anyone read this book by Roger-Pol Droit?

I know a lot of people on this board are getting into the Celestine Prophecy at the moment but thought a discussion about this might be good to pass a bit of time.

For anyone that hasn't - its a book about little things to do by yourself to experiment with philosophy. Not sure how to describe it so I'll just copy part of the blurb;

"The idea is to provoke tiny moments of awareness. Invent things to do, to say, that produce astonishment or the unease generated by certain questions. It's about fabricating microscopic starter devices, minimal impulses. Playing on the level of objects"

Would recommend the book to anyone interested in philosophy but I can copy out one experiment at a time if anyone wants to try it without getting hold of the book??

(Lol @ mic!)

Well it still gave you a feeling of unease so may have been useful. Sounds good about the water, will have to try that.

I made up one of these experiments all by my lonesome and without meaning to this morning! I was in a hurry to get the kids off to school and went upstairs for my shoes. I put one on and decided for some reason to come downstairs before putting the other one on. They have quite high heels, and it gave me the weirdest feeling walking downstairs with 2 different length legs snigger.

I do that all the time - very weird feeling!!! So you're still introducing unease into your life
