Ah, reading your post again Yashmi I see you mention fern fronds. I need to keep my eyes peeled for those I think.

BartonHollow · 22/03/2019 18:12

I've just reread my own post and it makes no sense 🤣

The second eventful should active I think!

So, a lot happening but none of it negative - day seizing going on but also with the strong sense that I need to be clear that I won't surrender personal power or desires

Day seizing on my terms

How this will present is a mystery

EnchantersNightshade · 22/03/2019 19:20

How interesting YashmisCrone that you woke with that 'knowing' today. That article about Chiron is fascinating and it feels familiar. I've crossed paths with Rumi on many occasions and I get “the wound is where the light enters to you". I'm guessing I'm still at the 'light within the wound' stage and trying to be patient with my physical health so I can understand how to use it.

How delightful to see our woodland pics arrive in tandem. I like to think 'my' Grin woodland, showing the winding path towards the light, is like our journey here together.

Fantastic you found some fern fronds!!! Observing and photographing these 'fiddleheads' in my garden each year used to be a favourite activity Smile I enjoy the anticipation of the emerging fern and much prefer them before they're fully open. And I've learned something new. Certain varieties of fern fronds/fiddleheads are used for culinary purposes across the world.

Thank you for the photos. I can almost feel the kineasthetic energy of that river!

Hope everyone has a magical weekend Star I'll be looking forward to hearing about more of your practices as Spring gathers strength.

Just popping back to ask how your Mum is now speakout? Smile

speakout · 22/03/2019 19:54

EnchantersNightshade

That's so kind of you to ask.
Yes she is totally fine thank you. Jumping on buses and meeting friends as usual now

Ah, that's brilliant news speakout. Your Mum was lucky to have all your support at the time. It would help her confidence & recovery ability to bounce back. Resilient genes perhaps too Smile

I just realized I posted in the wrong thread [number 6] sorry about that. See? I am new here. I'm been on my path for about 12 years now, probably more like 4 years. Mindfulness, meditation, hypnosis, reiki, just started talking my the angels and you uides more. And am trying to get my head around the moon phases and how little works... strange as I live in the city and nature doesn't call to me, but the other stuff does.

speakout · 23/03/2019 07:15

Good morning sisters, and a big welcome mum23kidz, glad you could join us.

It's a beautiful morning here, clear skies, the sun is up, a gentle breeze.

It's a stay at home day here ( my favourite type), with a stack of laundry to do. But laundry magic is a pleasure to me.
And no cooking as it will be a chinese take away tonight,
I will be eating minimally today to make sure my appetite is honed!!

I hope everyone catches some spring magic today.

OP posts:
mum23kidz · 23/03/2019 07:40

I'm in Australia. We just got back from a glorious picnic. Cdn'thelp loving the grass and how green it was... Just loving being out doors, although it was quite hot. every
I hate laudry, what's your magick for that?

speakout · 23/03/2019 09:12

mum23kidz

I am not sure laundry magic is a widespread idea, although I know a few others on this thread understand what I mean.

Just as cleaning, cleansing and purifying our homes can be viewed as a magical act I think laundry does too.

We sweep, we dust, we smudge, we purify our omes with salyt, with magical waters, I feel the same about laundry.

Our clothes absorb a lot of our energies when we wear them, so washing with water doesn't just remove physical dirt, it removed unwanted energy too.

I am also keen to dry clothes outside- easy if you are in Australia, not so easy in the UK, but I line dry clothes outside as much as I can.

I also add magical water to the rinse cycle, as clothes dry outside they absorb energy from the wind and sun, and ice so when they are worn they impart some of that to the wearer.
THat captured energy in clothes gives us a spring in our step or makes us sleep better.

Just my thoughts- I find laundry pleasurable, ( unlike some other household tasks!!)

THought I would share this:

Wise woman, are you watering your own garden first?

The Tao of Women

Stretching herself too thin,
She breaks her connections.
Staying too busy, she has no time.
Doing for others, she neglects herself.
Defining herself only through others,
She loses her own definition.
The wise woman waters her own garden first.

OP posts:
HillsBesideTheSea · 23/03/2019 10:17

Very wise indeed Speakout

And thus this is why next weekend I am adventuring. As for today? I am heading to one of my more local favourite places, although it is just going to be a drive by as my knee is a balloon this morning. Thought you might like a nosy, it follows on from an apparent thread theme Grin

Any Witches Here? Part 7.
YashmisCrone · 23/03/2019 10:24

Good morning sisters,

I hope the weekend brings a chance to breathe and take in the energy of our emerging springtime.

Violet I hope you enjoyed your full moon gathering. I love hearing about the interesting events you go go. It sounds very nourishing.

Barton that’s really interesting about your tarot and the sense you have of what it all means. I also feel like it’s a sticking to your guns and taking every opportunity kind of message for you. Exciting stuff!

Fitz I hope you had a good night in the end. I hadn’t noticed fern fronds like that before- I love the spirals!

Enchanters I love our woodland photo synchronicity! And that’s really interesting about the fern. Fiddleheads is such a lovely name for them too!

mum23kidz welcome. I’m glad you could join us. If you have time, have a look through our previous threads (listed at the start of this one) there’s lots of information I think you’d find interesting.

speakout

Oh that poem! 💜 That’s actually a wonderful synchronicity for me. Just what I needed at this moment.A friend always says to me ‘wise woman waters her own garden first. I’d never seen the poem. Thank you 🙏
Stay at home day’s are my favourite too. I’m hoping for one tomorrow. I’m totally with you on the laundry magic (beautifully described) and as we’ve said before, love to weave magic into the ‘mundane’, washing, cleaning, cooking- all infused with intention and magical ingredients. These things make me a happy witch Smile

Hills I absolutely do want a nosy! Wonderful, thank you for sharing that. What a lovely place to absorb some glorious watery earthy energy. Perfect Smile

I have a dashing around kind of day ahead of me- family and helping a friend who’s unwell. I’ll be weaving magic into my tasks wherever I can. I’ll look forward to settling by the aga- my favourite place to be at the end of a busy day ✨💫

speakout · 23/03/2019 11:10

HillsBesideTheSea

What a beautiful photograph- I love the way the trees arch over the stream like a guard of honour. Stream make such a magical sound too don't they- I can almost hear the water from that photograph.

YashmisCrone
Thank you- I know you understand anbout my laundry witching.
Other household tasks too, we can weave magic into so much, my whole life is magical!!
I have a cup of peppermint tea hear, I often mutter a blessing before I drink.
THis cup I have thanked the goddess for her support and kindness for giving me so much strength and energy in this past - very busy- week.

I have felt her presence working through me to help me support my family, so her and I- are sharing some tea together. Like old mates!

I get you speakout. Another Laundry Magic fan here. Envious of watching my neighbours laundry flapping in the breeze & feel sad my clothes are inside. Poor things Grin.

It's one of the first things I want to get back to! Can't lift wet washing, so there's a flaw in the plan Grin

Lovely photo Hills Star My spirit leapt down the river from rock to rock. Quite tired now, ha ha

Loyaultemelie · 23/03/2019 18:45

Yes another laundry magic fan here! I'm trying to convince Dd1 who is in charge of it (supervised) while I'm out of action but I don't think she's feeling it.
Speakout I love that poem it really strikes a chord.
Hills what a gorgeous photo. I can see why you love the place.
Mum23kidz welcome.

Today didn't quite go to plan here due to an outbreak of mysterious spots on Dd1 which according to the pharmacist (who is apparently a paediatrician during the week) is a heat rash. We live in NI there's no heat. Never mind a chance to use some of our nice creams to soothe. She appears her normal self only grumpy so that's encouraging

VioletCharlotte · 23/03/2019 20:00

Hello, another one here who loves a bit of laundry magic. I even like ironing! I've had my sheets on the line today, they smelt so fresh when I brought them in.
Mum23kidz welcome, I hope you enjoy the thread as much as we do 😊
Speakout that poem is beautiful, such wise words.

I really enjoyed the full moon gathering Yashmis. It's just so special to be able to spend time with like-minded women in a sacred space 🙏

It's been a beautiful and spring-like here. I went for a dog walk out in the countryside with a friend, so lovely to get out into nature.

Mistymount · 24/03/2019 00:29

YashmisYes, I had a lovely cleansing salt bath followed by a grounding meditation as the moonlight streamed into the bathroom. unusual to get all that “me time” in the evening so it felt quite special. The equinox doesn’t seem to have such a huge impact on daylight here. We don’t have the lovely, long summer nights that we get in the UK and there seems to be only a couple of hours change in the day/night lengths as we go into autumn/winter.

Enchanters That looks like a magical place to be. I am sure you will get there again.

speakout - I love it when the moonlight slips through the blinds and half-lights the bedroom. We have very few street lights here so the darkness can seem so intense. Your poem is very timely for me. I have to decide whether to apply for a FT job. If I apply and get it, I’m worried about spreading myself way too thin and falling back into the poor work-life balance and self-care habits that I had in the UK, especially as we have no family here to help out in emergencies. Lots to think about for me there – thank you.

I’m with you all on the laundry magic – I love being able to hang the washing out to absorb the sun’s energy here. I used to view taking off & laundering my work clothes (nurse) as a way of taking off the energies of that shift and cleansing myself of the stresses of the day.

Hills - it sounds as though you know exactly what you need with regard to self-care right now. I hope you are able to relax, refresh and recharge from those special energies. What a stunning photo - that looks like a place where I could spend hours just listening to the trees and water, maybe dipping my feet in the flowing waters.

Another Leo/Virgo cusp here Barton and Queen. As a teenager with long, copper red hair (sadly from a bottle – I always envied my sister her natural coppery locks) a woman started stroking my hair in a food court queue and pronounced I was a true Leo. It was a wee bit disconcerting at the time!

Loyaul - Hope DD1 is okay. My DS2 can get a heat rash in winter if he’s been running around a lot. Good idea to keep an eye on it though.

Welcome Mum23kidz - so nice to have another southern hemisphere person here Smile

mum23kidz · 24/03/2019 03:11

Wow, I cant believe how you all remember each other's names. Must be because you little know each other soo well. I'm hoping I will too over time.

Good morning everyone, a beautiful still morning here.

Only just gone 6am, I love early mornings, especially on a Sunday, I can only hear birds outside my window.

Everyone is still asleep here, always such a busy house, and we never have a day when we are all at home. Usually someone is at work or out with friends.
Today is no exception, although OH is not working today, so he will do any lifts/cooking /shopping that needs done.

Mistymount another one of us laundry witches!! I thought I had a secret kink!! Not so crazy after all then!
Lovely to hear about your nirses uniforms too!

Full time work is a hard one, and no right answer, but you are right to give it a lot of consideration.
We need to preserve joy, and work out the best way of doing that.

Having more income brings more pleasure and undeniably takes some pressure off a family. Financial pressures can be stressful.
Work is enjoyable can be very stimulating and fulfilling, but does bring pressures of its own.
Working full time means a lot of other functional and family stuff is condensed into shorter times, so days off can become catch up, cramming housework and errands which impinges into family and leisure time.
We also need time for self nurture, often a thing that we - as women especially- tend to let slip.

My own example of life isn't particularly relevant or helpful to your situation, every family and every woman is unique, and each family dynamic is different.

Take your time to weigh up the situation. meditate, use Tarot, trust your instincts.

I will attempt to fit an old double mattress into my very small car today to take to the local dump.

OH says it can't be done, it won't fit, but he knows that is a red rag to a bull.

I am of the view that enthusiasm can overcome reason!

And it will be fun trying.

I just wanted to pop by to say hello on this windswept morning. I wasn't well enough to join the candle connection properly but I managed to focus on some lights that glow in our window for a little while. Peaceful.

A strange night last night. I could see something flowing and whirling in the air next to my bed whenever I opened my eyes. Later, I kept getting stuck in a cycle of thinking I was awake but I was still dreaming. Does anyone else feel vulnerable when they're asleep?

Loyaultemelie · 24/03/2019 11:10

Good morning all, it looks like a beautiful day out there blue sky and bright (and breezy!)
1potato how disconcerting I remember a few nights like that and it's unsettling. I hope you are feeling a bit better
Speakout good luck with that mattress!
Thank you Misty Dd1 definitely doesn't have heat rash because now Dd2 has it. (I didn't think it was that) but they aren't overly ill so looks like gp phone call tomorrow because daren't send her to school in case it becomes an epidemic. However they are very much my daughters as their instinct is to be outside in air to heal

speakout · 24/03/2019 11:37

Windy and squally here too today, for some reason I thought it would be good weather today!

Sounds like an unsettled night you had, I hope things are more settled for you tonight.

Loyaultemelie yes, managed to get the mattress into my car. OH said it couldn't be done, and I was just back from an hour of Body Pump, full of adrenalin, manhandled the mattress into my car . I wasn't taking no for an answer, and I am a stubborn old goat!

Mattress has now gone.

Popping in to say hello. I'm feeling a bit low tonight. I had words with my DS (19) this morning and I've been feeling awful ever since. We've talked since and made things ok, but I'm not feeling at all good about the way I handled the situation. I struggled for years with low self-esteem because of the things my Mum said to me. I know this, yet I find myself doing the same to him 😢
