I found this prayer on Facebook and tought it was a beautiful way to start the new prayer thread.

There was a beautiful picture with it too, but I don’t know how to transfer that.

Goodness, what heppened? How does ds feel about it?

Asymmetrically shorn, with inadequate grading...ds tells me Lots of people have shorter hair along the lines of everybody else's mum...

So was it his idea or dh’s?

Sorry to post on here for a prayer or two - feel like a gatecrasher though I've been on here before. I will take time to read through posts and I will hold everyone up - so many of us are going through challenging times. I know I'm by no means alone.

But for now - please a prayer for DS1 who is missing again. Goes off often - even from hospital - though he's now living in the community. Worried sick. Only been since Sunday but he isn't answering calls or texts. Can barely cope with the worry. Constant pain at the back of my head. And having to be brave at work and home. I long to have news - Police informed (again) - but please, DS1, text or phone your Mum.

It’s funny Masie but yesterday I was thinking about you and your son and praying that he was safe - wherever he was.

So I think God always ‘prevents’ (goes before) us in everything and does what is best in His plan. So together with prayers for your son I also pray for your peace of mind and give thanks for the many times that he has been found before.

No news - Police have checked. Not in his flat. Have rung - once he picked up the phone I think but all I heard from odd sounds, lots of banging. Nothing since then - just rings. Have emailed and texted.

I hope that everyone here is OK today - I will catch up on news very soon.

How have the school reacted?

Oh gosh Masie. I am much more of a lurker than a poster but remember you from this thread and previous ones. Prayers for you and your son. It must be so difficult to keep all the plates spinning. Make sure you remember to look after you as well as everyone else.

I was on hear earlier in the summer and I am back to thank everyone for their prayers. Ds had his kidney removed because it was cancerous and he has had it confirmed that the cancer was contained in the kidney and hadn’t spread. He will need regular CT scans of his other kidney but the cancer has gone.

He went to the lung specialist today about enlarged lymph nodes around his lung and they have shrunk so hopefully everything is going well.

Some of you may remember Mufti, she was a member on the prayer board quite a while ago.
I just heard that she is receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer. She has prayer support where she lives, of course, but would also welcome support that comes from the prayer thread, whether you remember her or not.

also turns out dd is falling regularly in school but has only just thought to mention it.

You would have thought that the school would mention accidents in school, not wait till the child mentions it..

yes. I don't think dd has mentioned it to anyone really. it is just normal to her.

Plus the school has gone with expensive company not cheaper one.

Y2 something from the juniors.

Dd's this year is not so good. No problem not buying that one. Not a significant year. I have just finally bought the one from two years ago when she started which was good and cheaper. I need to rootle through the photos and check when we last got one.

Yes, that’s a shame about it being the first secondary schoolphot. I didn’t know they still did them at secondary, I have none of mine.

I took some on my phone and camera, so will check those first.
