I found this prayer on Facebook and tought it was a beautiful way to start the new prayer thread.

There was a beautiful picture with it too, but I don’t know how to transfer that.

They phoned late morning. Appointment next Thursday.

Saying a prayer for you Bes. I had to go to a clinic with a lump. Consultant said 90% of the lumps he saw were benign.

BES - prayers for you. Waiting is horrible but I hope all is straightforward for you.

MHD - how are you doing at the moment?

Please can I ask your prayers for 2 things - firstly a friend at church who is mum to 3 children and her husband has been out of work now for about 8 months and they are slowly getting into more and more debt. He is getting lots of interviews but is either told he is too senior / experienced and so they worry he won't stay, or the competition is too strong. My friend is struggling and worrying that things will be forced to come to a head soon. She's also looking after her dad who has pancretic cancer.

Secondly, some of you may remember that I run a group in our parish for anyone interested in finding out more about being a Catholic. The next course is due to start on 24th Sept and I would really value your prayers for the Holy Spirit to speak to anyone who would benefit from coming along or who needs a nudge in the right direction. Prayers also for me and my friend who run the course!

Very difficult times for your friend, SES. I would say get in touch with Christians again Poverty, but they are not taking on any new clients at the moment.

I spoke to my friend who is a CAP manager on Friday and she was totally overwhelmed. We prayed together over many issues and your friend most certainly be in my prayers too.
And I pray that you will get a goodly number of interested people for your course and that it will confirm and strengthen you in your own faith.

I am a bundle of nerves today. DS is one of 6 boys in yr6 shortlisted for head boy and he has an interview today with the head, deputy head and vice chair of governors.
Prayers please for my nerves and his, as well as dealing with the outcome whatever that is!

Add into the mix I’ve just walked with DD and her class into town to solve some riddles and look at prices and then she clung to me and cried the whole walk back to school as she didn’t want me to leave her and go home.

My emotions are all over the place today!

Yes, there is a head girl too.

It seems to have gone ok and hopefully they find out tomorrow. I wouldn’t like to be one of the people who decides!

DD is a confident, cheeky girl but very much a mummy’s girl too. She often gets a bit clingy to me but today was a bit extreme. I don’t think it helped that someone had caught her accidentally caught her on the face with their arm. She was fine after school.

Answer to prayer with my church group though, a young mum with a 3yo DD who wants to start coming to church and wants them both to be baptised!

All is ok. Just naturally lumpy.

Just dropped DD off at uni! I am a strange mixture of happy/excited and a little bit heartbroken too. Her room and hall is great, it's such a lovely uni, I'm so thrilled for her. But my baby girl is leaving home and I'm a little sad. Would value prayer!

That is so understandable MHD. She will have a whale of a time and come home happy at Christmas. Till then you will certainly be in my prayers.

I have just come home from a weekend full of music: yesterday I went to a music day with John Rutter and today our church choir and another choir combined did a 500 years of church music concert, from Tallis to Howard Goodall. ‘t Was lovely

Ds has had a haircut while with ex. Not a suitable style for school. Really upset.
