NIGHT PRAYER

Comfort me with Your love O God
Wrap me up in Your strong embrace
Shelter me from the storm O Lord
Envelop me in Your tender care
By day I pour out my heartbreak to You
By night I give you my racing thoughts
In You I take refuge
In You I will not be afraid
For you hold me strong, You hold me safe
Calm my fearful heart O God
Still my anxious mind O Lord
For all my life is found in You
All my being is given to You
All my hope begins in You

Prayer found on web.dawesvillecps.wa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/17th-September.pdf

I found this prayer on Facebook and tought it was a beautiful way to start the new prayer thread.

There was a beautiful picture with it too, but I don’t know how to transfer that.

Jesus,
you are with me.

I share each anxious thought with You.
I am not alone.
You understand.
Here I will shelter,
Safe in your love,
Held by Your Grace,
Freed by Your Truth.

Thank you that You are with me.

Amen

Hope your throat is feeling a little better Becca. Prayers for all here and also those who fell in wartime.

Dutchoma · 11/11/2018 21:52

Welcome stillivinginazoo You can google Bible readings when you are anxious or distressed. I hope your dh is having all the help he needs to overcome the cause of his anxiety and that he feels you are totally on his side. Which can be difficult and wearying on the marriage.

I'm still struggling unfortunately, though it doesn't hurt anymore it's still swollen and effecting my breathing. I'm due to have an emergency scan, unfortunately the one I need, an MRI I can't have as I cannot lie flat without struggling to breathe.

Am dreading getting a cold with this as I've felt like I've had one for weeks with my breathing the way it is.

zoo it's good he goes to practise and keeps a presence there, it's hard when anxiety hits in services, it's something I've badly struggled with and people find it hard to understand. With readings it's very much down to each person what is helpful. I carry copies of Philippians 4:4-8 on card around with me to read when struggling. I also find psalm 121 helpful too. Sometimes reading another bible version when struggling helps or doing bible journaling - I know someone who has really been helped by journaling.

I missed the services today Sad but I did the silence and I sat reading from the book of John which was given to everyone in the trenches which has music in the back and some testimonies.

Dutchoma · 12/11/2018 07:35

Sorry Zoo I misread it was you ds, not dh who was suffering with the anxiety. Good to hear he has some support from the church and that he manages choir practice, if not the services. It’s so important that they accept him as he is and give support.

Also praying for MHD and Becca. Hopefully medical intervention can provide some relief.

Becca19962014 · 12/11/2018 13:14

It happens, don't let it get you down (I'm aware that's so much easier said that done!!!)

FestiveForestieraNoel · 12/11/2018 13:16

Hoovering is very exhausting. I usually just do the main traffic areas but then occasionally do the edges too. It's moving furniture etc. Complete pain. I quite like cleaning but not ironing or hoovering.

BlackeyedGruesome · 12/11/2018 18:09

the forms have been handed over to the perfect person in school.

Becca19962014 · 12/11/2018 20:04

Becca19962014 · 12/11/2018 22:52

FestiveForestieraNoel · 13/11/2018 00:09

Becca saying a prayer for you.

BlackeyedGruesome · 13/11/2018 07:56

Thank you

off to buy paper for the photocopier and sort out trying to get the right things to photocopy.

BlackeyedGruesome · 13/11/2018 07:57

fear not I will stop wittering in about two weeks when the form is delivered to where it is to be delivered to. then there is a bout three months to wait while they read them. then the wittering will be even worse as we go for the appointemmnt or deal with rejection of appointemnt.

Becca19962014 · 13/11/2018 09:51

Please dont worry about it, it's helpful to know what is going on in others lives and this thread has really helped me when praying for others, so you witter all you like!

BlackeyedGruesome · 13/11/2018 17:25

Oh Bes how sad for all of you. I hope it is not a long journey and that he arrives safely. I also hope that his df has a peaceful passing surrounded by family.

I'm dreading getting a phonecall like that about my parents for various reasons that I won't list here.
