I found this prayer on Facebook and tought it was a beautiful way to start the new prayer thread.

There was a beautiful picture with it too, but I don’t know how to transfer that.

Thank you for thinking of me. Unfortunately he has stage 1 kidney cancer and has been referred from the first hospital to a larger one and has now got an appointment on the 24th April to see a consultant at the second hospital.

He is going to need his kidney removed but as far as they can tell it has not reached any lymph nodes.

Any prayers over the next few months would be very welcome as it is a very worrying time for all of us.

Very worrying to have to wait so long Larrry. More time for prayers, I suppose.

Sorry to hear those pesky lungs are playing up again MHD.

We have the first meeting with school since dd's diagnosis, the one they were convinced she did not have. Need to do some prep.

going to find out where dd's exam is tomorrow and got a very important meeting to day.

with a sore throat, thank God for paracetamol and ibupprofen

bes I pray that dds exam goes well. I've done a lot of music exams in my life (despite being tone deaf!), and for the meeting and your throat.

I logged in for my daily reading of psalms before attempting to go out today (barely slept and when I did had terrors) feeling dreadful. I cannot put into words how this made me feel. Yesterday one of my Lenten readings was about "little miracles" (of which this reading is one a dive copied it below) and today the one from St Therese is entitled "God provides all the strength we need".

Psalms 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Carla couldn't believe how things were going in her life. She'd always thought Christians didn't have to face the same kinds of problems everyone else had. What good was being a Christian, if your problems didn't let up? It seemed that since she became a Christian, everything had gotten worse. NO matter how hard she prayed, she never felt God close at hand.

It is folly to believe that God liberates us from all discomfort and affliction. What He does do is give us the will and determination to go on, even in the face of tough times. He works within us to give us peace and strength and courage; those things necessary to get through life. We can be sure that our trails will not come to an end, but the love of God will see that we get through anything that comes our way.

Prayer: Lord, sometimes I feel I just can't go on. Please fill me with strength I need, body and of character. Don't let me give up but deliver me. Amen.

ha, sometimes I feel like a toddler who has laid down and refused to move and is now getting dragged through life by their dungaree straps, heel ploughing two furrows in the mud as they scream and wail...

My cold has set in with shivers and aches and pains. After DD's exam I am coming home to bed.

Struggling to breathe without my mouth open. No air is going through one nostril and nowhere near enough through the other.

I hate colds, it is just beginning the coughing phase which usually lasts two weeks.

I pray you feel better soon BES (I can't get used to you being gruesome, sorry).

I've overslept today, just couldn't face getting up. Now feeling really unwell with high blood sugars because I didn't get up.

Funeral of someone very close to me today but I cannot travel to get there. Feel I'm really letting them down as our family didn't like them understatement. If it wasn't for them I'd have ended my life as a teenager definitely, apart from struggling with suicidal thoughts a lot in recent months since the problems with social services/church community, I'm grateful for all they did for me. I can't even really accept they're gone. In a couple of weeks (Easter day) it's the anniversary of my godmothers suicide which I'm dreading. I miss her so much.

The person whose funeral is today I can't even begin to think about not being here. All I've heard for a month is family bitching about who she left her estate to and why I didn't do more to help her.

Forgive the waffling. I got up so late I've barely time to say one service or do my morning Lent readings (going to do some after I post this) and I'm feeling really frightened today.

I look pretty gruesome at the moment... snotty red nosed, spluttering...

hope you feel calmer now. you can remember you r special person in whichever way you want, you don't have to attend the funeral to honour her. I was unable to go to a much loved uncle's funeral due to morning sickness.

Aggghhh. Antivirus on computer is not working. Managed to click on the wrong thing, heard it go. (Increase in noise of processing something or other) Need to scan as I suspect it is infected but it will not scan.

Please pray it can be fixed.

I've been checking in and holding you all in my prayers, but not posting - life has been a hectic roller-coaster for the last few months. More lessons on leaning on God not trying to do things in my own strength. Awaiting findings of medical tests last week, but anticipating the worst😥 . Love to you all.

Not having a good day today

I lost my glasses. Looked all over, couldn't think what I have done with them. I am now wearing my spare glasses.

Just found the best glasses in my pocket. In the top I am wearing!!!!

I do things like that! Not too sure if that's a comfort to you or not though
