Daily Gratitudes 2018

A new thread for a new year.

A safe, quiet place to pause, breathe and count our blessings, great or small. Everyone is welcome: of all faiths or none at all, whether you post regularly or just once, whatever you are grateful for, you are welcome here.

We would love to share all the things that bring us joy or just make life a little more bearable.Flowers

I praise and thank God for everything He has bestowed and countless blessings upon us. He has endowed us with the gifts of Hearing and Sight, the intellect, health, wealth and family. He has even subjected everything in the universe for us: the Sun, the Moon, the heavens and the earth, and many countless things, as the Qur’an states, “If you tried to count God’s blessings, you could never count them.” (Soorat Al-Maa’idah, 16:18).

Today was about hearing my very dear friend, who is terminally ill, tell me about her trip around the block in her wheelchair enjoying the blue sky and glimpse of sun.

I have a friend in the same circumstances, pontious - her cheery text message this morning lifted my spirits and put my very minor problems into proper perspective.

Optimist1 sorry to hear about your friend. Having a loved one going through this really does make you think about what really matters doesn't it? Thanks

I have so many gratitudes today and it's only 3.15pm here!

  • morning yoga session
  • a fridge full of food
  • my kids have been gems all day
  • my new coloring book and pencils
  • cracking the spine on my new yoga book
  • enjoying a quiet coffee on my patio, burning nag champa incense and listening to kids in the pool
  • bottle of wine chilling for later

So far, a perfect day
