A new thread for a new year. If you would like to pause, breathe and count your blessings, this is the place for you.

Everyone is welcome, we love to see new faces. It doesn't matter whether you have a faith of any kind or no faith at all; whether you post every day or just once: whether your blessings are great or small. Please drop by and be welcome.

Thank you for my family, being able to keep the house. Please God let us find a way to stay in our own home, and stay healthy. Thank you for all your blessings, and for not deserting me in my fear and pain. Amen.

Lessstressedhemum · 14/07/2016 11:25

Highway, I have said a wee prayer. X

A beautiful hydrangea in my garden with blue white flowers, that I see every morning at breakfast
My son is at school this morning in Year 9 and he has gone on a day trip to see Houses of Parliament and to take the Duck Bus. He has Asperger's so I am so happy that he will be doing something he enjoys, at school I mean! (school has been difficult for him, sometimes)
My 17 nephew was in Nice yesterday, but my sister told me he was safe. She is in shock. I want to give thanks he is safe.
My daughter is safe upstairs with a sinusy cold.
My son did his Grade 5 voice and violin last week, he is not very academic but I think he passed those exams at least; I am so grateful he has the satisfaction of being good at music.

Cooler weather!

Optimist1 · 15/07/2016 23:23

I was casting about for something that has uplifted my spirits in this sad, sad week and then saw Channel 4's trailer for the Paralympics .

(I hope including a commercial link doesn't go against the spirit of this thread.)

Two nice evenings with two good friends
Coffee today with a new friend
A small decision made right.

Lessstressedhemum · 16/07/2016 09:27

Knitting, I'm so glad your nephew is safe. The world is a terrible place at the moment. I'm also happy for your children, I have 3 with Aspergers, so I know how tough life can be for them. My middle child is less a scenic than the other 4 and feels it keenly, but he has his own talents and is about to start a technical theatre HNC which will hopefully take him where he wants to go. Congrats to your ds on his grade 5s, perhaps he has found his niche. Hope your dd feels better.

DH 's car has finally gone kaput. I'm grateful that we are extremely fortunate enough to be able to source the funds to buy a new one.

My wise beyond her years beautiful DD
My loving DS.......who takes life way too seriously sometimes. That's my fault, I can often be that way but I'm trying hard not to be
