MN Christian Prayer Request Thread TAKE THREE!!

Hello everyone!!

As PandaG mentioned, the thread was getting a tad long, so I thought it was about time to begin another one!!

I'll start with a summary of all prayer requests in April and May (this obviously doesn't mean that any prayer requests before that time are now null and void - but the list would just be waaaay too long - So please do refer to the other threads from time-to-time to catch up on prayer requests before April 2006!!)

Here goes .....

DumbledoresGirl - Finding life tough coping with vomit phobia, especially with DH away a lot - Strength.

NotQuiteSoTiredMum - Relationship with mum (mum drives her loopy re: how to bring up her children etc); all affected by bird flu; relationship with non-Christian DH. Feeling very tired atm!!

Portree - Going through IVF atm

katzg - Has applied for ideal job (closing date 30th May)

Waswondering - Prayers for MNer ruthlouise who recently lost a baby at 18 weeks, she used to have a faith, but doens't anymore.

MadameDeMars - Prayers for friend whose DH has recently left her following an affair; other friend has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

SaggarMakersBottomKnocker - Friend's DD recently died, prayers for the family as they grieve.

longwaytogo - Feels surrounded by a Black Cloud atm, finding life very hard; prayers for her friends DS who might possibly have anorexia / bulimia.

pudmog - Currently dealing with her past - lots of flashbacks, life very tough. Has been having counselling and had a recent breakthough - Praise the Lord!!

Nanou1 - Having to go back to work f/t as DH cannot get a job at present, would like to be a better friend at keeping in touch; learning to be a Christian family - not many Christian friends around. Possible job just come up!!

Wilbur - Friends just about to emabark on their 4th round of IVF at Lister Hospital

NASWM - Life very atm, feeling very low.

PandaG - Thinking hard about where to go re: going back into teaching etc etc atm. Has just become Chair of the PTA. Feeling a bit low and uncertain.

Twiga - DH has surgical exams throughout May, prayers for friends niece was was born early due to pre-eclampsia - has been moved out of closed incubator - Hurrah! Grandpa (90) has just had stroke - needs to let go and be with his Heavenly Father now.

MaryBS - Non-Christian DH has expressed an interest in going to church - Hurrah!

KateF - Lots of stress atm. Thanks for prayers for Philip Dunne who goes to her church, he is improving - Praise the Lord!!

CaptainDippy - Usual prayers re: getting a p/t job and a home of their own; prayers for DD's who are very chesty and unwell, esp as DD1 had pneumonia this time last year; prayers that she will pass her driving test soon!!

JessicaandRebeccasMummy - I know her DH will find out about is happening to his job (he's had health problems for a while) around now - So let's prayer something amazing happens for that little family.

Sorry to hear about your girls, CD, praying they will be better really quickly.

Glad to hear you survived the 10 days DG, hope you enjoy your holiday, we are off tomorroe for a week.

Well Done!! to DumbledoresGirl and to Nanou1 - DG - For getting through these 10 days and to Nanou1 for getting the job - I am very proud of you both - Things are progressing!! DG - I hope that DS3 gets through chicken pox quickly if he has caught it, poor thing. Better to get it now though, so horrible when you are older. My x-bf got it at 26 and was sooooo ill and miserable, it was awful. Praying for the playgroup committee meeting too!! Brave lady!!

Defintely praying for Emkana at this time of anticipation, excitment and worry - Must be a very strange mix of feelings, I guess. She needs heaps of strength and loads of prayers now and over the next weeks, months, years - I'll try and get a link posted in a sec!!

DD2 is much better, I think - Slept a lot and went to nursery ok, bottom looking better, poo still funny. DD1 temp fluctuating, strange rash on shoulder, just gone off to docs with DH - Defintely not herself, not sure whether it is teething or a virus or what, poor bean!! Prayer for quick recoveries needed here!! Thank you!! Apart from that, all fine in DippyLand - Must go and collect DD2!!

Nanou - congratulations! May you be very happy there!

CD - ds3 is fine at the moment. I think he is waiting until we are away on holiday before getting the dreaded spots! Oh and BTW, dh, who was supposed to be home at 1 tonight, has rung to say he will be home within half an hour.

Emkana's got an awful lot of threads, but I think this is the most recent one she has posted on, if anyone can find a better one, point me in the right direction and I'll post a link. Get praying everyone!!

CD MaryBS thank you for your good wishes. and (thank you Lord for such a happy day)my dh called to say he has an interview for a good job on 6th June 2006. all moving in the right direction! thank you so much to all of you. must go to pick up my dear dd now. god bless and you will all be in my prayers tonight-as ever.

DG, how exciting, at least you won't be alone for the playgroup meeting.

I applied for a job today, I am terrified, I don't know if I'm more worried about not getting an interview or being called for an interview and maybe getting the job. It feels like a long time since I'n taught and I don't know of I can rememeber what to do. Please pray that it all turns out OK for me, whatever is supposed to happen.

I think I might be on an unlucky streak at the moment. On Tuesday I fell down the stairs with ds2 in my arms, he was fine but I was so scared I'd hurt him. I did hurt myself and spent yesterday morning at A&E having 8 x-rays! Luckily nothing broken, just very bruised and strained from throwing myself about trying to protect my little baby. I've got a very sore back and arm. I was so scared that I had hurt him, I think I went a bit weird and didn't even register I'd hurt myslef until later. I just packed the kids up and took them to the doctors about their coughs, which need antibiotics to clear them up. So today I am in a very thankful mood to God for keeping my precious baby safe .......from his own clumsy mother!

Have read through the other posts and am praying for all, but especially holliec, Emkana and DesperateHouseWife.

Kate - you might be on a LUCKY streak, after all, your DS is fine, and you escaped with only bruises. I pray that if this job is right for you, that you get it, and I pray for strength for you to get used to the idea of going to job interviews and for jobs. Remember you do the hardest job in the world - being a mother.

Can we pray for nearlythree? I can't help but wonder how she and her ds-to-be is, I think its been about 2 weeks since she said she was going into hospital, and she was due in 3 weeks from then.....

I've had my first training day through - 15 July!! Its seems funny that stuff is coming through and I haven't been accepted yet!!! Please pray... I nearly said for me to be accepted, then I remembered "GOD'S WILL, NOT MY WILL BE DONE"! :o

MaryBS, you're right I'm thinking about it the wrong way round. I am so thankful that he is alright, I'm sure God was keeping him safe from harm.

My friend got the job! Hooray! Thank you for praying and thank you God!

Mary, glad to hear DS is ok after your fall. I fell down the stairs with my DS when he was 9 months old. After a trip to A&E we were both declared fine, but it is very worrying.

See you all at the end of next week, we are off on holiday tomorrow.

We're off on holiday today as well, but I'll still remember you all in my prayers!

Now I just need to get my work done.... I've got up super early to complete it before the children get up!

Please can you pray for ds as he is poorly again for the 5th time in 4 weeks- high temp (39+) and streaming cold which then triggers off his asthma. poor little dot- sitting all forllorn on the sofa- he's only 20 months.

All a bit better in DippyLand - DD's seemer brighter, which is great - Thank you for your prayers!!

Praying about the job application Kate100 - I'm in the process myself and it is terifying, I'm not sure I have the confidence in my abilities anymore - Thank you to MaryBS for pointing out that we all have the hardest job in the world here though - Being a mother!! Too right!! Sorry to hear about your fall too - Glad you are both ok (how old is your DS??) I fell down the stairs with DD1 when she was two weeks. She was fine, I ended up with three fractured ribs - Ouch!! Seems like a common occurence this falling down the stairs with your baby lark - So you're not alone!!

Praying God's safety on you as you go off on hols PandaG and MaryBS - Hope you have a wondeful time and see you when you get back!! Great news about your friend's job PandaG - Praise God!! Will be praying for nearlythree - hope everything's ok.

Good morning all

Please could I ask for prayers as we go off to visit my godson and his family this weekend. They aren't Christians, in fact I may be the only Christian they know, so prayers that I may keep building a good relationship with him and his family and be a good witness to them would be wonderful.

Prayers for ds2 would be appreciated too as he doesn't sleep well in other people's houses, and I could do without 2 sleepless nights!

Please can I ask for prayers and blessings for DS1's sponsor (godfather type position).

After some minor health problems he was rushed into A&E at the weekend with a burst bowel. All we know so far is that they have removed his appendix and at least part of his bowel because of massive peritonitis. Hopefully the outcome will be good but there is still a major risk of complications.

I would be grateful for any healing thoughts sent his way. Thank you.

Hello there!! Hope you've all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend - I am that it's over now!!

My DD's are a bit peculiar atm - Little One seems to have some sort of weird virus thing that she can't shake off - she's whingy and sleeping a lot and then not sleeping a lot - Bit worried as she's supposed to have her MMR on Wed- not sure whether I should perspone it or not. Mmmmmmmm. DD1 is teething and very grumpy, poor thing - Lots of stressful tantrums, very trying on tired mummy!! Apart from that, the Dippy Household is doing ok - although a few prayers for relationship with in-laws wouldn't go amiss - things are a bit strained atm - Not great when you live under the same roof - Grrrrrr!

Praying for your DS' Sponsor SaintGeorge - All sounds like a bit of fright, I am so glad he is doing better, lots of prayers of healing coming his way - Please keep us posted!!

Bethron - Praying for your LO's - DD for her viral throat infection and DS with the attempt at getting his sezuires more under control - must be so hard. Strength for you, honey!!
