CaptainDippy · 13/05/2006 08:52

Hello everyone!!

As PandaG mentioned, the thread was getting a tad long, so I thought it was about time to begin another one!!

I'll start with a summary of all prayer requests in April and May (this obviously doesn't mean that any prayer requests before that time are now null and void - but the list would just be waaaay too long - So please do refer to the other threads from time-to-time to catch up on prayer requests before April 2006!!)

Here goes .....

DumbledoresGirl - Finding life tough coping with vomit phobia, especially with DH away a lot - Strength.

NotQuiteSoTiredMum - Relationship with mum (mum drives her loopy re: how to bring up her children etc); all affected by bird flu; relationship with non-Christian DH. Feeling very tired atm!!

Nanou1 - Having to go back to work f/t as DH cannot get a job at present, would like to be a better friend at keeping in touch; learning to be a Christian family - not many Christian friends around. Possible job just come up!!

Wilbur - Friends just about to emabark on their 4th round of IVF at Lister Hospital

NASWM - Life very Sad atm, feeling very low.

PandaG - Thinking hard about where to go re: going back into teaching etc etc atm. Has just become Chair of the PTA. Feeling a bit low and uncertain.

Twiga - DH has surgical exams throughout May, prayers for friends niece was was born early due to pre-eclampsia - has been moved out of closed incubator - Hurrah! Grandpa (90) has just had stroke - needs to let go and be with his Heavenly Father now.

MaryBS - Non-Christian DH has expressed an interest in going to church - Hurrah!

KateF - Lots of stress atm. Thanks for prayers for Philip Dunne who goes to her church, he is improving - Praise the Lord!! Smile

CaptainDippy - Usual prayers re: getting a p/t job and a home of their own; prayers for DD's who are very chesty and unwell, esp as DD1 had pneumonia this time last year; prayers that she will pass her driving test soon!!

JessicaandRebeccasMummy - I know her DH will find out about is happening to his job (he's had health problems for a while) around now - So let's prayer something amazing happens for that little family.

Below is the link to this story also (it is very distressing, please be warned) - So we can pray into this terrilbe sitation as well .....

PandaG · 24/05/2006 16:03

Just signing in to say Hi! A friend has an interview tomorrow for a teaching post that she would really like. If anyone can spare a few prayers for her she (and I) would appreciate it.

MaryBS - how did your brother/SIL get on?

Will pray for holliec and DHW, and the rest of you too. [smiile]

PandaG · 24/05/2006 16:03

Smile that is!

MaryBS · 24/05/2006 16:51

naswm · 24/05/2006 19:30

Hi all. I liked what you said about me being an 'original member' CaptainD, gave me a nice warm feeling. Sorry I've not been around much. I feel bad popping in and out of this thread. I have been using MN sporadically and recently I've either felt very good so selfishly I've not thought about coming in here Blush or so bad that I couldnt face it :(. I feel a bit of a cheek asking for your prayers, but if there are any going spare I would appreciate somoe direction in my family's life right now and general strength. Thanks. x

katzg · 24/05/2006 19:36

thanks for all your prayers - the blood test went well and the DR rang to tell us the results were normal! yeah

Beauregard · 24/05/2006 21:58

Hi,the baby Lily i meant is Baby lily 2!
I cried and cried when i heard about her yesterday and i cant stop thinking about that poor poor angel.Sad

CaptainDippy · 25/05/2006 08:55

Morning!! Smile DD's are very poorly this morning, DH is with them now - They both have temps over 40 and DD2's bottom is still red raw. Sad Poor little things - Please pray they recover soon, I miss my happy little girls already. Sigh. Sad Apart from that, all ok in DippyLand.

Praying for your friend's interview for the teaching post today PandaG - Let us know how she's get on and eventually (I know how loooong these things take!!) whether she gets the job or not - Hope she does! Smile

Wonderful news about your bro and SIL!! Grin Hope God finds them the perfect little family soon - Adoption is such a special thing to do - they are very brave!! Smile DH and I would like to adopt at some point. Smile Will keep June 21st in mind do remind us nearer the time, we are all parents and have brains like sieves, well I do anyway Smile!! Hope you get childcare ok - If I lived nearer, I'd be happy to do it!! Smile

Hi naswm!! Great to hear from you - You are always welcome on this thread - Praying for strength through the difficult times you are facing - Keep on posting - We are here for you!! Smile [hugs]

Sooooo pleased the blood test was ok - and soooooo pleased the results were normal Katzg - What does that mean for your DD now???

I am glad I posted one of my links right pelvicfloornomore!! I cried so much too - It ws so tragic and sad and unbearably awful. I just can't believe anyone could do that to their newborn baby. We must pray for the people who left that body there - they obviously need some serious help.

I'll find the link for Holliec's thread in a minute so we can pray for her more effectively.

I hope things went ok for DesperateHousewife yesterday, she has been on my mind so much, poor woman. Sad

[hugs]] to all. xxxx

pandaG - prayers for friends job interview

DumbledoresGirl · 25/05/2006 09:40

Thank you for your prayers for me these last 10 days. I have survived, and the children are bug free although there is a high chance that ds3 is harbouring chicken pox as it has claimed most of the playgroup! My dh is home very late tonight, after 10 days away. I only have to get through one more trial: a meeting of the playgroup committee to be held at my house tonight, which might not sound like much to some, but is not something I am entirely relaxed about. I am offering up a prayer that my children go to bed in time and don't misbehave in front of all those strangers!

Sorry to see your children are unwell CD. No chance it is chicken pox I suppose? It would be awful if the virus missed my children and got transferred to yours instead!

Anyway, we are off on holiday on Saturday so I won't be able to keep up with this thread for a while, so I hope everyone's situations work out for the best. Smile

Notquitesotiredmum · 25/05/2006 11:21

Morning all

Just a call for anyone to join me in praying for Emkana and her family please. She is due any day knowing that her baby might have serious health problems, but they are unable to diagnose anything specific yet. Can't do links - perhaps someone else might be able to add one?

Just tracked back to her post on 28 April, when she concluded "Please keep your fingers crossed for me that things will turn out as well as possible, and if you're that way inclined, please pray for my baby's health. "

Praying for you and your little one, Emkana.

Notquitesotiredmum · 25/05/2006 11:32

Oh and praying for you all, and for Holliec too.
