MN Christian Prayer Request Thread TAKE THREE!!

Hello everyone!!

As PandaG mentioned, the thread was getting a tad long, so I thought it was about time to begin another one!!

I'll start with a summary of all prayer requests in April and May (this obviously doesn't mean that any prayer requests before that time are now null and void - but the list would just be waaaay too long - So please do refer to the other threads from time-to-time to catch up on prayer requests before April 2006!!)

Here goes .....

DumbledoresGirl - Finding life tough coping with vomit phobia, especially with DH away a lot - Strength.

NotQuiteSoTiredMum - Relationship with mum (mum drives her loopy re: how to bring up her children etc); all affected by bird flu; relationship with non-Christian DH. Feeling very tired atm!!

Portree - Going through IVF atm

katzg - Has applied for ideal job (closing date 30th May)

Waswondering - Prayers for MNer ruthlouise who recently lost a baby at 18 weeks, she used to have a faith, but doens't anymore.

MadameDeMars - Prayers for friend whose DH has recently left her following an affair; other friend has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

SaggarMakersBottomKnocker - Friend's DD recently died, prayers for the family as they grieve.

longwaytogo - Feels surrounded by a Black Cloud atm, finding life very hard; prayers for her friends DS who might possibly have anorexia / bulimia.

pudmog - Currently dealing with her past - lots of flashbacks, life very tough. Has been having counselling and had a recent breakthough - Praise the Lord!!

Nanou1 - Having to go back to work f/t as DH cannot get a job at present, would like to be a better friend at keeping in touch; learning to be a Christian family - not many Christian friends around. Possible job just come up!!

Wilbur - Friends just about to emabark on their 4th round of IVF at Lister Hospital

NASWM - Life very atm, feeling very low.

PandaG - Thinking hard about where to go re: going back into teaching etc etc atm. Has just become Chair of the PTA. Feeling a bit low and uncertain.

Twiga - DH has surgical exams throughout May, prayers for friends niece was was born early due to pre-eclampsia - has been moved out of closed incubator - Hurrah! Grandpa (90) has just had stroke - needs to let go and be with his Heavenly Father now.

MaryBS - Non-Christian DH has expressed an interest in going to church - Hurrah!

KateF - Lots of stress atm. Thanks for prayers for Philip Dunne who goes to her church, he is improving - Praise the Lord!!

CaptainDippy - Usual prayers re: getting a p/t job and a home of their own; prayers for DD's who are very chesty and unwell, esp as DD1 had pneumonia this time last year; prayers that she will pass her driving test soon!!

JessicaandRebeccasMummy - I know her DH will find out about is happening to his job (he's had health problems for a while) around now - So let's prayer something amazing happens for that little family.

Our pastor often strongly reommends shopping at Ann Summers for clothes and toys to spice up your sex life ( within marriage of course!).

There is nothing dirty about sex, it is a twisted satanic lie that it is!

I'm planning to have one here instead of a hen night out!

DH is being an arse. I asked him if he were going to the men's group curry night... he said probably not, because 'he didn't feel like it'. He's only doing this to wind me up, he knows how important the church is to me, and that I think its great he's going out with people from the church. He did this to me last time the group met up... but still went out and had a good time...

Aw MaryBS - Just pray for pateince, I guess - God is doing a work in Him, trust it!! Praying he becomes more recptive to God stuff!!

I have a job interview this morning at 11am, arranged through an employment agency. It;s doing admin at a local housing association. It is 3 days, which I know is too much for me. I am going to ask them for 2 - 2 1/2, please pray I get this - if it is in God's Will - otherwise, please pray this job at church actually becomes available cos it would be ideal for me!!

Will pray for your interview CD - well done for getting that far, if God wants you to get the job he will alter the hours for you, he did it for a friend.

Mary - sorry to hear your DH is winding you up, praying he does go on the curry night and have fun.

I'm sat at home with a stomach bug, feeling pretty crappy (pardon the pun! ) friends have done school run and nursery run for me so I am here in my pj's with mn for company!

Thank you for your little messages of encouragement guys!! Interview seemed to go ok, I think - wasn't too sure how they felt about the hours being a bit much for me though. We had a few giggles, which was great - I'll find out at the end of the day-ish whether or not I've got the position. It will be to start next week - eeek!!

Poor PandaG - hoping you feel heaps better soon - what lovely friends you have!! Sending you vibes of getting better-ness!!

CD - you never know. The job I do was full-time, but they were so desperate for staff, they took me on part-time (then when I started here, I found out why they were so desperate!). Praying that if its right, you get it, but still praying for the church job...

As for Ann Summers, time was when I'd go and have a really good laugh, hen-night style. Now, I think I'd be more uncomfortable, depending on the party, they can get pretty raucous and personal! Having said that, there probably are some items that I'd consider using with DH in mind, although I'd draw the line at anything battery-operated, if you know what I mean - perhaps some of the clothing or something like chocolate body paint...

PandaG - praying that you'll feel better soon!

Thanks for youra views o Catholics and communion, I won't take it personally, but will continue to find it a little odd.

The funeral is tomorrow and I've cried nearly all day. I've got so much to do and I'm so tired, slept straight through the alarm this morning, I just don't know how I'm going to do it. People are coming back to mine after the service as Mom and Dad live in an apartment and it's too small and I'm doing everything on my own and I feel very alone. To top it all off my brother phones and says I can't get away from work can you arrange some flowers for me!! he had a week to do it and left it until the day before, I'm really cross with him. And now I think ds2 is poorly, he's sitting on my lap very quietly which is unlike him and I can feel him etting warmer and warmer, poor little thing. Sorry rant over, just feel very overwhelmed at the moment. I'm also going on holiday on Saturday, do you think I ry and do too much?

I think I'm past Ann Summers, what Dh and I share is very private and not for sharing with anyone, but fine for anyone that does.

Kate, don't take it personally. Its what the Catholic church teaches its members, and they start drumming it in to children from about the age of 6 that Catholics can't receive communion anywhere else, when they start preparing them for first communion at about aged 7. Makes me wonder how I ever got away....

Kate really praying that you feel some peace and get some rest, hopefully things will calm down after tomorrow and your break away will be a good time to refresh and take stock.

Can we please pray that we get some answers to daughters medical problems. Went for allergy testing today and nothing showed up even though she reacts when she eats hazelnuts, peanuts the skin prick test showed nothing. Also she is always complaining that her joints ache, her chest is tight and she seems to have the energy levels of a nat.

Thanks for messages of encouragement guys, I will have another duvet day tomorrow to make sure I have got this out of my system before I start looking after other people's children again.

I am feeling better, no more emergency loo dashes, just wiped out from the bug. Dear friend is having my DD after nursery, so i have all school day to myself to rest and get better.

Still no news from me.... the Vicar told me that he had a meeting with the bishop tomorrow to discuss reader selection, but somehow I didn't believe him....
Oh and didn't mention that yesterday was the anniversary of my father's death (9 years). I was little raw after coming off the phone to my mother yesterday, but feeling a bit more cheerful today!

Hello!! Absolutely flat-out, manic day - 1st chance I've had to post .....

morning all. dd is 14 in 2 wks. Last night again she came in said her head was banging, throat and ears hurt, tired etc etc. I'm tearing my hair out with her, just wonder if all this is our fault - after all the last 12 months haven't been easy!
