As the other thread is nearing its limit, hopefully this is the thread with lots of positive news.

Old thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/philosophy_religion_spirituality/1470444-Prayers-for-Aillidh?msgid=32590675#32590675

As we keep lifting Aillidh and her family before God, I pray that they will be given the healing, strength, mercy, courage, hope, love and grace they need moment by moment, day by day.

" Every day the Lord Himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counsellor and Pow'r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made."

Praying that little Aillidh's tired and broken body can be healed in time through God's power, and that the fighting spirit she has shown so far remains undiminshed by her ordeal. Praying also that God grants courage and peace to her parents, siblings, family and friends and giving grateful thanks that the family have the support of such great friends at such a difficult time. Amen x

Badvoc · 29/06/2012 13:06

Amen

OTHER THREAD Just in case some have not seen it

DutchOma · 29/06/2012 13:33

Let's also give thanks to God for the miracles He has already given: Aillidh is still with us and so many people have come together in love and care and prayer

Northernlurker · 29/06/2012 13:34

There's an update on the other thread. Aillidh is having a bronchoscopy which is an examination of her lungs. Lets pray that has been helpful in supporting her condition and making further plans for her treatment.

RabidAnchovy · 29/06/2012 13:37

Praying.

weegiemum · 29/06/2012 13:43

Thinking of this hymn

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me.
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from his hands.
Til he returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand!

Update on other thread in case anyone's not seen it

RabidAnchovy · 29/06/2012 14:18

From other thread

Aillidh update: slight improvement in xray. Bronchoscope and lavage done. She is comfortable and sedated. Plan is to leave her on vent a few days and find out what is going on inside her lungs with results of bronchoscope/lavage. Please, please keep praying. Your prayers, thoughts, vibes and anything are keeping her and us going. We are buoyed by everyone's strength and hope. Her grandmother is here now and her maternal grandparents will be here on Monday.

SecretNutellaFix · 29/06/2012 14:23

Beat me to it Rabid.Smile

Let's keep up the prayers and positive vibes. For continued improvement in Aillidh and strength and peace for Expat and MRExpat as well.

Solo · 29/06/2012 14:35

Still praying. Lit a virtual candle earlier on...so emotional... :(

RabidAnchovy · 29/06/2012 14:45

candles of hope for Aillidh hope this is ok

madhairday · 29/06/2012 14:48

Praying that the slight improvement on the x-ray will be only the start of a big improvement. Praying they get the bronch results quickly and that they can work on the info it gives. Praying that Aillidh will stay comfortable. Praying for a miracle, God. xx

LostInWales · 29/06/2012 15:23

Those virtual candles are really lovely Rabid. I have lit one and said another prayer for Aillidh. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers constantly.

Abra1d · 29/06/2012 16:11

Oh I am so happy to hear about the slight improvement. I know it's only slight, and we can't take anything for granted, but will continue to think, think, think about Aillidh.

I am glad that grandparents are arriving. That must be lovely for the other children, as much as anything!

ToothbrushThief · 29/06/2012 16:31

Grateful for good news and also glad that the grandparents will be there to support the whole family. I have held the family in mind all morning and prayed.

GobblersKnob · 29/06/2012 16:37

I have lit a candle and said a prayer for the first time in many years.

JustGettingByMum · 29/06/2012 16:58

Thanks for linking the candle site
I lit a candle and prayed for Aillidh this morning, but had to blow out the candle when I went out this afternoon, now I have a virtual candle that will keep the dark away for 48 hours, and keep this little one in the light x

MissAnnersley · 29/06/2012 17:11

I have been thinking about Ailidh and praying today. Holding her in my heart. x
