As the other thread is nearing its limit, hopefully this is the thread with lots of positive news.

Old thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/philosophy_religion_spirituality/1470444-Prayers-for-Aillidh?msgid=32590675#32590675

DutchOma · 29/06/2012 10:38

Adding my prayers.

TwllBach · 29/06/2012 10:43

I can't light a candle because I am at work, but I have lit one in my head and am holidng it there. I can't comprehend what you are all going through, I have cried at this thread and I have never met Aillidh. She and all that are close to her are being so very brave - I hope you can feel the warmth of all the love and positive energy that is being sent to you.

I don't know if it is appropriate, but this thread has made me think of the Footsteps poem that I love and think about when I am having a hard time:

One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
"I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.
"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

I think if there was ever a time when expat and her family needed someone to carry them and let them rest their feet to conserve their energy to fight with Aillidh, it would be now.

Twillbach this thread makes me weep every time I check it as my heart breaks for Expat and her family but that has made me weep even more.
I am continuing to pray and keep you all in my thoughts especially Giraffes for all the loving care she is giving the family
Please also pass on some unMN hugs from all in the Snaplegs household

DutchOma · 29/06/2012 11:03

TheOneWithTheHair · 29/06/2012 11:05

Abra1d · 29/06/2012 11:09

Silbury · 29/06/2012 11:10

I'm in at 12.

MyMamaToldMe · 29/06/2012 11:12

Precious, precious child - please fight for your life. Your name pops up in my head all the time, and each time it does, I say a little prayer for you. Be strong, be healthy.

StillSquiffy · 29/06/2012 11:12

Twllbach - if it helps, Peachy kindly linked to a virtual candle site for Expat - here. 224 candles are already burning for Aillidh and Leigh.

WandaDoff · 29/06/2012 11:12

Count me in.

NeverAgain2 · 29/06/2012 11:16

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health:
Comfort and relieve your sick servant Aillidh,
and give Your power of healing to those who minister to her needs,
that she may be strengthened in her weakness
and have confidence in Your loving care;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

I am amazed that a child I do not know, and a family who I have never met can have such an impact. Aillidh is in my thoughts constantly.
God Bless little one.

weegiemum · 29/06/2012 11:18

Thanks so much for the update giraffes. It's good to know you are there with them through this.

donnie · 29/06/2012 11:18

I have only just seen this - I didn't even realise expat's daughter was ill (I don't get on MN much these days). I am so shocked and sad for them and I will say a prayer for them.

TimeForMeAndDD · 29/06/2012 11:20

I will be praying at 12.

Northernlurker · 29/06/2012 11:22

That rainbow is a sign and a promise.
I will try to join at noon but am at work so will pray when I can.

I've been praying a lot when cycling to work. I've looked up every day at the blue sky, because it's always been there and now Aillidh and blue sky are wrapped up together in my head. Today it was cloudy but I knew the blue was there and when I was parking my bike I turned and looked the other way and there was a great big patch of clear blue breaking through the clouds.

I believe in miracles. I know I keep saying that but that's because when things are hard it's easy to get down and we need to keep on going, to be strong and faith-full. We need to keep that in our hearts. We believe in miracles.

TimeForMeAndDD · 29/06/2012 11:25

I most definitely believe in miracles and am praying hard for one to occur right now!

sweetkitty · 29/06/2012 11:26

I have been crying all morning, DD1 and 2 said a hail Mary, our father and Glory Be for Aillidh this morning. I promised Aillidh that I would bring DD1 to play with her when she was feeling better :(

Poor poor Aillidh, expat and all their family.

Please let there be a glimmer of hope today anything please

aesopslabials · 29/06/2012 11:27

FranticBanana · 29/06/2012 11:52

weegiemum · 29/06/2012 12:13

Me and my 3 dcs prayed at 12 for aillidh. They've met her and their little prayers made me cry - dear Lord please take care of her.

geniuswater · 29/06/2012 12:23

This little girl and her family have touched the hearts of so many people, please stay strong and keep fighting little Aillidh. Oh Father God in Heaven, please pour out your healing miracles and put your healing touch onto Aillidh now and give her the strength and help that she needs to win this fight and to become strong and healthy. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen xxxxx

Mouseface · 29/06/2012 12:24

Giraffes - Thank you for the updates, it must be very hard for you to be there. Sending love to you all xxx

chipmonkey · 29/06/2012 12:38
