As the other thread is nearing its limit, hopefully this is the thread with lots of positive news.

To expat - your energy and love is where it should be. We are behind you, not dragging you back or asking you to turn around, but supporting, pushing lifting and holding your whole family in prayer. Be comforted in the knowledge that so many are with you

kohl · 28/06/2012 22:20

More love and prayers here for a peaceful night.X

StopTalkingAndEatYourDinner · 28/06/2012 22:31

Giraffes - I have High School Musical DVDs I am happy to send. Do you want to PM me the address and I will post them 1st thing x

EightiesChick · 28/06/2012 22:34

Giraffes, yes, please tell expat that no-one wants her to take any time away from her daughter in order to post on here. That doesn't matter at all to anyone posting. Continuing to think of them all and pray.

PorkyandBess · 28/06/2012 22:36

I want to send some vouchers. Please can someone pm me with an address.

Still praying hard here x

mummylin2495 · 28/06/2012 22:39

I am hoping that Aillidh has a peaceful and trouble free night and that you expat manage to get some rest.I am wishing in the morning when i log on that things have improved.Thinking of you all in these horrible times.

TheWoollybacksWife · 28/06/2012 22:40

Praying for you all.

chipmonkey · 28/06/2012 22:41

No-one is expecting expat to update, of course she can't, she's with her ill baby. Just so long as she knows we're all with her in spirit xx

sweetkitty · 28/06/2012 22:46

Thanks for that giraffes you have been an utter rock for them all. I am so glad Leigh has had you all these weeks. Of course we don't expect updates from Leigh it's lovely to get them as we are all so worried and I'm sure Aillidh is the first thing a lot of us think about every morning. I'm glad her family are coming over to give additional support. Is St Georges PayPal account still active? Maybe people could donate there. I've met expat and Aillidh and they are wonderful, expat ( oops she may see this) is an inspirational mother and an amazing woman. Am sending them all so much love and hope xxx

WinstonWolf · 28/06/2012 23:42

Adding my thoughts and support. I'm not at all religious but am currently as close to praying as I'm every going to get.

UnrequitedSkink · 28/06/2012 23:46

What WinstonWolf said. Hoping HARD that Ailidh has a peaceful, easy night. Sleep tight lovely.

got goosebumps reading some of the prayers on here. Beautiful.
Like many others, I also think of Aillidh first thing every morning, and the loving, strengthening vibes going to her from all of us must surely be worth something... I believe so.

NoComet · 29/06/2012 01:00

Like Wiston, which I had someone to pray to, but I don't, so I can only look out of the window and send healing vibes north.

IamtheZombie · 29/06/2012 01:17

Latest Facebook update about 15 minutes ago:

Aillidh update: she is on a ventilator. Air is leaking from her lungs, but it's too profuse to know from where as yet. She needs ALL your prayers, folks. Every one of them. To live.

perfumedlife · 29/06/2012 01:50

That poor wee girl, this is too heartbreaking. Praying and willing like mad for her. No one should have to endure all this.

OneHandWavingFree · 29/06/2012 01:55

I have been lurking and praying but am delurking now to add another number to expat's sense of support. I'm sure there are many more lurkers who are holding Aillidh in their hearts and minds even if they are not posting to say so.

Praying for better news tomorrow.

CarryOnMatron · 29/06/2012 01:56

Sending love and prayers x

TanteRose · 29/06/2012 03:07

poor Aillidh, she is such a fighter but this is absolutely awful...cannot begin to imagine how expat is coping

hugs to giraffes too

you are all in my thoughts x

MrsSnaplegs · 29/06/2012 05:13

Continuing to pray for Aillidh and ExPat and her family Smile

weegiemum · 29/06/2012 05:14

Giraffes is doing an amazing job of looking after expats family.

I'm also a friend of expat off of MN and would be happy to coordinate any gifts etc if that frees giraffes up to spend more time at the hospital. I wish I'd been able to do more but I've been really ill myself sadly. Expats family are staying at mine for the next 3 weeks to be close to Aillidh during the school holidays so I'd be happy to pm my address to anyone who wanted to send something.

weegiemum · 29/06/2012 05:20

The prayer that keeps coming to my mind is a Celtic blessing used by the Northumbria Community:

"May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you,
Wherever he may send you,
May he guide you through the wilderness,
Protect you through the storm;
May he bring you home, rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you,
May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors."

CheerfulYank · 29/06/2012 05:43

That's lovely Weegie.

I love and believe in God but I don't know much about miracles or prayer...but I pray for Aillidh with every fiber of my being; I pray that she and her family get some rest and peace. I pray the doctors help Aillidh heal and grow strong, and that they can feel how much we, around the world, love this little girl.

CheerfulYank · 29/06/2012 05:45

And I am not a Catholic but I am thinking of and talking to St Peregrine and St Jude, who are called wonder-workers, bringers of miracles, and if they've got any influence...use it . And Mary, who as a mother would surely be on ex-pat's side.

TanteRose · 29/06/2012 05:46

weegie, do you think some DVDs would be OK? I can send some via Amazon to your address for Aillidh's brother and sister to watch

expat's family really have some lovely friends to support them

(sorry to hear you have been ill, btw)
