Has anyone tried Reiki? Could you tell me a little bit about it?

OP posts:
CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 16:52

Except that entropy is not a fascist of any kind and you calling anyone here a "fascist" is just childish sulking because you don't know enough on this subject to answer her. HTH.

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 16:53

Wrong poster.

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 16:53

You did, however, say that "Fascist" sounds like a compliment.

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 16:58

I said "physics fascist" sounded like a compliment and put a Grin after it that would kind of suggest that it was tongue-in-cheek.

Do I need to ask if you realise that there is no such thing as a "physics fascist"?

Are you interested at all in talking about Reiki in particular or woo therapies in general, or should we take this outside if your intention is to continue to throw punches at me? Hmm

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 16:58

Are you going to back up that statement?

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 16:58

X post.

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 16:59

Back up what? Hmm

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 16:59

Are you saying that "Fascist" is a compliment?

garlicfanjo · 12/06/2012 17:03

This is hilarious! All from a one-line post Grin Brilliant work, Fanatic!

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 17:09

Isn't it, garlic? Classic.

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 17:10

comfort - Does it look like that is what I'm saying?

angelicstar · 12/06/2012 18:10

I send you love and light CoteDAzur - I feel that you need it. You do come across as very bitter and intolerant.

Why can't you just accept that people will have different belief systems to yourself?

garlicfanjo · 12/06/2012 18:30

But, angelicstar, biology, chemistry and physics aren't belief systems Confused

GhostOfAWasp · 12/06/2012 19:00

Blimey, I look away for 6 hours and it's degenerated into outrageously misogynistic statements and mud slinging. Why is anyone still here?!

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 20:10

Thank you for your concern, angelic, but I'm fine Smile

As garlic said we haven't been talking about "belief systems" on this thread, at all.

I wish I could send you some general science books, in return. If you have never heard of "entropy" how can you hope to talk about the universe and its energy? Without meaning to be hurtful, I honestly think you could really use a refresher course in elementary principles of the world we live in.

KatieScarlett2833 · 12/06/2012 20:20

Love the PA "sending you love and light"

Don't you get struck off the Woo Register for sending out evil vibes or whatever you call them ?

angelicstar · 12/06/2012 20:32

We have plenty of science books thanks my husband is an engineer and studied physics and mathmatics. I'm just more interested in the spiritual aspect of life.

Katiescarlett if you send out negative thoughts they are meant to return to you threefold. But admittedly its hard not to sometimes :)

CoteDAzur · 12/06/2012 20:49

Books at home doesn't mean much if you don't read them, though.

Why threefold and not twofold or fourfold? I'm curious.

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 20:51

Angelicstar, you're being severely goaded. So I reckon you can let yerself off the hook. Grin

comfortmewithapples · 12/06/2012 20:52

However, for the third time on this thread, I agree wholeheartedly with GhostofaWasp.

seeker · 12/06/2012 23:05

Physics is not a belief system. Science is not a belief system. Th whole point about science is that it changes as evidence accumulates. It changes and grows.

Belief systems don't.

Hullygully · 13/06/2012 08:29

hahahahahahahahahaha

Scientists: so bitter and sad.

I do hope all the woo spiritual people have never used medicines discovered by science but stick to hot hands and crystals?

Waxtart · 13/06/2012 10:09

My medicine cabinet is fully stocked and the doctor is always the first port of call if any of us are ill. I think there can be a misunderstanding that if you are into "woo" then you avoid conventional medicine. It's not the case at all. I would use reiki and the other things I believe in to deal with the emotional and spiritual side of things. I don't wear tie dye either Grin.

LeBFG · 13/06/2012 10:16

Emotional, even spiritual - by all means, that's fine and dandy by me...whatever floats your boat....but to claim 'healing' is just factually wrong.

seeker · 13/06/2012 10:39

I like rainbows. I have rainbow makers in my windows.

Wearing bright pink lifts my mood.

I feel better if I eat good food.

Exercise cheers me up.

The air near the sea makes me feel good.

None of these things are incompatible with science.
