Just wanted to start a prayer thread for expat's little girl, Ailidh, who has been very ill with leukaemia. Just wanted to show our support and pray that her treatment works and that she is back in action very, very soon!

Love and hope and prayers to you and your beautiful family. I will pray hard now and until the moment one of those grafted cells takes and starts to bring her back up from the bottom. x

Elephantscantdothemoonwalk · 12/06/2012 15:32

So sorry that there is another complication. I lit a candle this morning in church for your family.
You are in my thoughts
((((((hugs)))))))

Mirage · 12/06/2012 15:59

Been thinking of you all all day today and sending up prayers.

Queenster · 12/06/2012 16:02

StealthPolarBear · 12/06/2012 17:13

Still in my thoughts

barbarianoftheuniverse · 12/06/2012 17:15

Thinking of you. A few years ago my friend's dd came back from cancer after a hideous year and a half. She is just finishing her GCSEs and doing her Duke of Ed. No one would have believed that could possibly happen but it has.

bumpybecky · 12/06/2012 17:28

thinking of you and Aillidh x

lilibet · 12/06/2012 17:48

I've been praying all the way home from work for her and for you Expat.

Can I be the first to ask, sorry everyone else probably knows and I'm the thick one, but how do you pronounce Allidh? I know God knows exactly who I mean, but I'd just feel a bit better if it was right in my head too.

FayeGovan · 12/06/2012 17:51

sending you and Aillidh very best wishes for good news, and soon xx

Northernlurker · 12/06/2012 18:09

Lilibet - I prayed all the way in to work! Grin It's a good time isn't it - nothing else much in your head.

Northernlurker · 12/06/2012 18:11

Sorry that sounds all wrong Blush I don't mean I pray then because there's nothing else to do so I might as well. I pray then because I find it a distraction free time Grin

sassytheFIRST · 12/06/2012 18:17

Just checking in to say still sending thoughts skyward. Have just posted a card to giraffes to pass on to that brave wee girl. X

rhondajean · 12/06/2012 18:32

I've been lurking here for ages. I don't know what to say. I just thought you would like to know someone else is rooting for you both.

I lit a candle online last night for the wee one.

I'm not that far from you, just a bit south of Glasgow.

Stop beating yourself up. You have given her the best chance that you could xxx

StealthPolarBear · 12/06/2012 18:59

Lilibet, I'd like to know too. I think it must be ay-leesh. Beautiful name, very similar to my own dd's.

StealthPolarBear · 12/06/2012 19:01

Would she appreciate getting loads of cards? I'd like to send one if I thought it would cheer her up in some small way. Or will it just be something else to deal with?

alittlebitshy · 12/06/2012 19:16

Lilibet - it is ay-lee

LemonTurd · 12/06/2012 19:19

I wondered that too last night, Lillibet.

I watched the video linked at the beginning of the thread. It sounded like 'ay-lee', kinda like 'hayley' but with no H. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I like to know how to pronounce someone's name and what they look like if I'm praying for them. Saying another prayer now :)

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 12/06/2012 19:28

Aillidh is said the same way as Eilidh.

Likey hayley without the h or alien without the n.

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 12/06/2012 19:30

You know ceilidh as in the dancing? Like that but without the k sound at the start

Chubfuddler · 12/06/2012 19:31

Expat, God is holding you in his arms right this moment. I know that's hard to believe, but I swear to you he is. You did what every single mother on this board would have done. If anyone claims they wouldn't have done it, I don't believe them. You'd have danced a horn pipe in a thunderstorm if someone had told you it might help. This isn't your fault.

StealthPolarBear · 12/06/2012 19:42

Going to have to change how I say it in my head now, had no idea that was how it was pronounced

madhairday · 12/06/2012 19:56

Keeping praying for your beautiful Aillidh. xxx

FootballFriendSays · 12/06/2012 20:06

Thinking of you and Aillidh.

StillSquiffy · 12/06/2012 20:17

Giraffes - Expat's last post on fb sounded a tiny bit more positive - do you have any more info on Ailidh's condition this evening?
