I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

Sorry about that. Blue asked her if there would be live labour updates (as some have done on MN) but she said no, there would be updates when there was news. As it is an induction, I have no idea how long that will be.

Hello lovely ladies. Xander is still an inside baby...

Started having lots of pain last night that felt very real to me but turns out it was 'only' the propess hormone thing kicking in. Despite me puffing through what really felt like regular strong contractions. After about 5 hours it eased off and now I have just dull background period pain... Hope when they examine me in a while the pain at least was moving things down there in the right direction and the next part of process can begin and work quickly! wishful thinking.

This boy appears to be in no rush :-( but at least he is happy and coping very well!

Really starting to pray this won't drag out for 5 days as it did with Belle. Not quite sure exactly how long I will keep my rational head on for!

Hope my next update is an outside baby....

My first induction took a long time too. I never thought to update the people I worked with, so they were really worried, and fearing the worst! Still feel guilty about it Prayers for Caz.

Prayers for BIL's dad too - he is having a heart bypass today, starting at 12 noon. Following his heart attack they found his arteries were mostly/completely clogged, so in a way he's very lucky!

Can I ask for a prayer again? :) I know they have been helping me and my family a lot lately and I am ever so thankful for it!
We have applied for a wonderful house on Monday in our friends' street. It is just lovely and perfect! This morning DH didn't see it on Rightmove anymore! Please pray that they have accepted our application and that we can move in December!

All seems to be going ahead well here. We have been asked if we can bring forward our move to Cambodia to July next year rather than August/September. We will be attending a conference to prepare us in January, in Germany for a few weeks.
Next week I am away on a staff retreat in Wales. An annual trip which is a lovely time with my favourite work colleagues. Lots of time of worship, prayer and relaxation. I cannot believe how awful I felt when I went last year. What a huge difference a year makes. (I had my tumour diagnosed while I was travelling to retreat last year) This year I am fully well and energetic and can join in all the silliness walks and "hot tub" fun!! (oh, now that sounds a little dodgy!! We are all Christian workers, most of us happily married and there is no naughty "hot tub fun" - plus I am old enough to be mum to most of them!!!)

Could I ask you to pray for 2 of my daughters who dont normally come to church with us and are not Christians. This is DD1 and DD3. (they will be living together alone in our home while we go away to live) A very good family friend is being baptised on Sunday and he has invited them along. DD1 has said she will come. Please pray that God will use this time to move them. I have been praying that they would come to have a personal relationship with God before we move away.

Oh, sorry, me again. I also meant to say that we have found out more about the work we will be doing in Cambodia - scary stuff. I feel totally inadequate, so I am heavily relying on God to know what He is doing!!!

oh just realised you were talking about the house? I hate phoning people I don't know about such serious matters... We've phoned the letting agent twice already yesterday and they said they would update us as soon as they had news, so I'm not going to be pushy and just be patient...

pfieuw stress! landlady just phoned, they have 2 applicants, us and another couple. They are going to decide today and let us know either tonight or tomorrow morning who is going to be the best tenants for the house.
She didn't say we would get it :( she said she needs to look through the details she got from the letting agent with her DH.
I explained about the individual application because of the fees and said we do have 2 incomes and we are very flexible with regards moving in date... hopefully that helped! Some extra prayers would be nice! I can hardly bear it... feel so stressed about it... I really hope they don't change their mind and let it to the other people...

I will pray Blue, but if it is not for you then God will have something better for you. When God has said "no" to me before His plan has always been better and His timing perfect. Put it into His hands, let go and take a deep breath.

Madhairday - Spiritual meditation went brilliantly tonight, managed to make a few informative notes that will really help meditation, its not rocket science, but when you don't meditate its something that doesn't come easy, its a 10 week course with a city church and our village church. I know lots of people there, so very comfortable tonight, pray I get used to meditation. Ooh and they go to the pub afterwards, not that I go! maybe one week, fear I may just ramble out of control, like I do! hahaha

Hello ladies. I am lurking and praying especially for Xander and Caz.

At an impasse on commencing contact with my ExH and his girlfriend with the children. I would like us to all go out together for the first contact and take the children to a playground. It would bring me peace to help settle them into contact with her the first time and to see how it all goes between them. She has no experience with young children and this is a big step for the children as well. As ExH often struggles to be patient and not shouty himself with them. So prayers for peace, grace and wisdom and that we can find a way through this tricky bit and that his girlfriend can let go of anything that was fed to her to justify ExH commencing the affair iyswim? She does have a lot of anger for me it seems [hsad]

ExH's gradual introduction to contact without mummy and with him and gf is a good idea. It's 2 years since we first separated when the affair came out, she's graduated university and is now working and living nearby. So things have moved on a lot. The children are a little older and things are good. It's the final big hurdle since my separation and divorce. My ExH also will finally begin a full time job in November. Although he will be paid monthly in arrears so I won't see a difference to my maintenance until the end of December but there is light at the end of the tunnel. We just need to get through this next hard part. Sorry long message, but yes keep me in your prayers and my little ones.

THere's a lady on the pregnancy section that could also do with prayers. Her waters broke at 22/23 weeks and she was posting last night from hospital. Her waters hadn't replenished over a few days and things were looking very touch and go. After lots of posts last night I don't think she's posted this morning. Prayers for her and her little one.

Praying for you TACP. You have come through such a lot and are so positive about it all. Praying this will resolve for the best for everyone.

Sooz the meditation sounded nice - was it like Ignatian meditation, or to music or just silence?

Well I want to share an amazing answer to prayer with you ladies because you have been with me in this for a good while now. I have from time to time asked for prayer for my friends dd who has anorexia, has self harm issues and attempted suicide etc. At times it has looked absolutely hopeless and to be frank utterly terrifying for my friend and her family. I have been praying now since I got to know her so about 3 yrs, the church has joined in on this, my friend and her younger dd have become a christian in this time which has been great, but all the time things have been awful with the other dd and she has been close to dying.

But finally it seems she is coming out of it. She has been given leave to come home sometimes from the unit, she is now talking about her future career and training and expressing her gratitude for what the unit has done. Something has finally shifted in her. Praise God for his wonderful power. Please continue praying for this young girl, that this new lease of life and determination to leave the old lifestyle behind will continue. And pray she will come to know of God's power and intervention in this. I am totally convinced God has got her through this. So just to say thanks for joining with me, and thanks be to our God for his power to save and set free :) :) :)

Hi everyone, not much time to read everything but will definitely catch up later.

Please could I ask for more prayers for DD's sleep? I know it seems small, but she's so hit and miss at the moment. I've started an Alpha course and a lovely friend of mine has been babysitting for me. The problem is, every time she comes DD has a shocker. We couldn't have a prayer meeting at my house the other night because DD was still up and wide awake causing chaos.

I really don't want my poor friend to have another evening of DD screaming. It's just not fair. We always say our prayers before I put her to bed and we always ask God for a good night. I think He's got selective hearing

Anyway I'm seeing said friend this afternoon so will warn her but will also mention that I've asked for prayers. If she adds her own then maybe she'll have a peaceful evening!
