I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

dd is off school again same cough that has not quite gone away. she has coughed and coughed for half an hour(proper coughing) but now I have made the decision not to go to school, she has perked up a bit. (typical)

Still in the land of ill here but seeing improvements definitely. Managed to get up last night and will today. Small steps. Perhaps the abs are finally kicking in.

Have just had to pick up DS from school as he's got a stomach bug. DH is away until tomorrow night. I've got two deadlines that I need to meet tomorrow. Argh!

we are still poorly but surviving. ds seems to be going back down with it now. it is sore throats/ sinus headaches/earaches/coughs/sneezes and snuffles in rotation. I have cooked tea for tomorrow and it will just need reheating. off to bed soon to collapse.

Please pray for BIL's parents. His dad is in hospital having had a heart attack, and his mum has had a reoccurrence of her cancer. Much prayer needed.

I am up and about and have friends visiting today so things are on the up I think. Feel incredibly weak. Lovely dh has done everything this week, he's a star.

thanks madhair. did ask about you earlier, but the computer played up and it didn't post. we had a powercut earlier. realised the inadequacy of the ofr as we had no source of heat. it makes one realise how we rely on electricity, and very thankful that it is usually there.

glad you are feeling better than before. we are poorly and off school but not so bad as to be struggling at the moment.

h is supposed to come and see the children tomorrow for lunch. we shall see if he actually comes for the arranged time, or if going out tonight with his friend means that he can not get here in time for lunch before ds's nap. I am trying to work out whether he means what he says about seeing the children as there have been a couple of incidents that could have been interpretted either way. I suppose only time will tell.

Don't what stomach bug the school were on about. DS has been fine since I collected him from school yesterday. Poor thing has been really disappointed that he didn't get to go to the after school club. He's been talking about wanting to go off and on during the last couple of weeks and I had finally arranged for him to try it out.

perhaps there is something going round and they were erring on the side of caution, before he was sick and someone had to clean it up.

Hello everyone - frantically reading back and praying for everyone. Hope all poorly ones are feeling better now.

Our friend Carl is still in a coma but was brought back to the UK yesterday (after three weeks in a hospital in Seville) so at least he is on home soil. If/when he wakes up from the coma, there is a strong possibility of brain damage and it's not looking too good for him at the moment. Prayers continuing for him would be much appreciated.

My consultant doesn't want to see me back at the oncology clinic for four weeks, so that's good news. Apart from fainting on Tuesday (my first ever), I have been making slow progress this week - still tired and finding it hard to eat, but at least I've stopped losing weight, even if I haven't gained any. Blog updated if anyone wants to have a look. DH and I are off to Spain for a week next Saturday - he really needs a break and so do I!

Has anyone heard how Caz is getting on? Was her baby due to be born this weekend? Praying all is going well for them.

Apparently there is some bug going around, so I guess they thought DS might have caught it.
DH is back from his two week work trip. I kept DS up last night until DH came home. The look on his face and his exitement when he saw his daddy again was a picture.
Busy here. Trying to catch up on things that I haven't had a chance to do while DH has been away.

sleep would be useful. ds is still trying to settle after h was late leaving (discussing work issues) (changing pooy nappy) and I just want to sleep. ds was awake til 2 am last night and dd at 4, then ds awake having a tantrum at 6 (one thing or another on and off for an hour) mainly that the door was shut to prevent him waking up dd and that he was in his own bed and not wriggling and jumping around mine.

Prayers for Carl, for Caz, for sweetest (have a good hols, you deserve it!). Did you get some rest BES? Prayers that all will have a blessed joyful Sunday. We're having a Harvest service today at church, then DD is at the Cathedral this pm for another Harvest service, preceded by choir practice.

Thanking God for bringing my parents home safely from their holiday. I've got my rocks back

morning all. another sunday waking up quite happy, then thoughts turn to church... and going to email one of the nicer elders at church to see what the heck is going on. probably after breakfast though when blood sugars are up and i can think more clearly. some thing has got to give and I hope it is not me.

Feeling a bit sore this morning. sometimes I get a bit battered venturing out into the scary Mn threads. But something (someone) keeps pushing me I think.

Not really much better so will head to the docs tomorrow morning. dh is supposed to be on retreat this week but he doesn't see how he can go with me so ill :(

MHD Hopefully the doctors will have some help to give. Any chance of some outside help? It sould be good if dh could go on his retreat after all.

BES Yes it is our 'lot' on the radio next week at 8.10, it should have been some time in August, but didn't happen because of the riots.
Hope you got some rest and that you got he church situation sorted out.

DO because I'm so new here it's harder to ask though there are some school mums who have already offered help etc, they're so lovely. But I feel I can't really impose on people like I could in Stoke so to speak - mum is away so can't help and she's coming to stay the week after when dh is on a conference. But I'm being optimistic now that he'll be able to go - I think he should. We are blessed that school is so near and the dc can pretty well take themselves there on their onw now. :)

I think that if help is offered you should take it up, otherwise people will think that, either you don't need it or that you are too stuck up to ask for it. We all know that neither is true, but they don't and wouldn't have offered if a) they weren't lovely or b) they didn't mean it.
