PositiveAttitude · 14/04/2011 16:46

BachAroundTheChoc · 14/04/2011 16:51

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 11:44

Does this help?

Take a peek at #39. He even rates above Gordon Brown :o

(thought it might put you off your food)

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 11:46

thanks PA - I like spinach, though...

Mary - i love you, you know! Grin

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 11:47

"Happy-cr*ppy hymns are a pestilence. They demean adult worship, dragging it to a level even lower than that of Mrs C. F. Alexander's All Things Bright And Beautiful (1848). They are self-obsessed, babyish, cliched, simplistic."

Grin
MaryBS · 16/04/2011 12:01

A little lower than the angels :o

I'm supposed to be writing my sermon for tomorrow... would it be too much to ask that Fernando Torres doesn't score this afternoon, otherwise I'll have to rewrite my sermon... :o

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 12:24
Grin

that's pushing it.
I think God would help him score just to spite you!
If he does, you only need to change one name, don't you?

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 13:56

Well if he does score, I'll tell everyone what you said about God helping him score just to spite me :o.

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 14:08
Grin yes, that should get a laugh! Grin
MaryBS · 16/04/2011 14:25

I'd rather spite than smite :o

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 14:36

yeah, that's true.

I'm still smiting people for striving, luring, taunting, gauding me into sin
Grin

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 14:42

Do you mean gauding? Graham Kendrick would work, he's quite gaudy...

Gaud \Gaud, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Gauded; p. pr. & vb. n.
Gauding.]
To bedeck gaudily; to decorate with gauds or showy trinkets
or colors; to paint. [Obs.] ``Nicely gauded cheeks.'

(or perhaps you mean goading :o )

PositiveAttitude · 16/04/2011 15:42

Mary, I am interested in how Torres scoring or not is connected to your sermon. Confused

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 15:51

there's a chance I meant goading.
I knew it looked wrong, but couldn't work out why! GrinBlush

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 15:55

PA, its about the cult of celebrity, the mass adulation given to a footballer, who cost his new club £50M in January and who is yet to score a single goal for them, so becomes the object of ridicule, because he has not done as "the mob" would expect of him.

:o Nickel

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 16:01

Its half-time, Chelsea have scored 3, and none was by Torres (who is currently on the bench).

nickelbaalamb · 16/04/2011 16:09
Grin

oopsy.
(but good for you!)

MaryBS · 16/04/2011 16:23

:o there's still time, its a game of 2 halves :o
