I knew it looked wrong, but couldn't work out why!

PA, its about the cult of celebrity, the mass adulation given to a footballer, who cost his new club £50M in January and who is yet to score a single goal for them, so becomes the object of ridicule, because he has not done as "the mob" would expect of him.
