Hi all
Hope this is okay to do, im still quite new on here. I'm very so sad to be posting this but im at a loss as to what else to do. I have to rehome my two beautifully, perfect pussy cats. I have tried putting notices up in post offices etc, no luck, Ive tried calling the rspca but they put the phone down on me, I've asked everybody I know, but nobody seems to want cats at the moment! I cant understand why, I love them dearly they have been an absolute pleasure and I'm gutted its come to this. If anybody knows of anybody who would be able to give them a good home then please respond on this thread, I can deliver in the midlands area or they can be picked up anytime. (I'm in Walsall, in the west midlands)

2, 3 year old cats, will be 4 in september. 1 white male with david bowie eyes called Charlie, and 1 black and white female called Lucy. they are domestic short hair crossed with a part persian and are stunning with thick midlength hair. they are brother and sister from the same litter, very fit and healthy. they are completely litter trained and never have accidents, they used to be indoor cats but now love going outside. they are up to date with all their jabs and have both been neutered. they are chipped and i have all the bits of paper from the vets to support this. They have beds, travel boxes, litter tray, bowls, toys, blankets, brushes all ready to go with them. I am the only owner they have had and i have loved them to bits which shows in their nature, they are really easy going and love some fuss but are quite happy to amuse themselves when needed, they really are people cats and love playing. they never had problems with kids, they do tend to stay away from noisy ones mind. they adapt really well to change, we have lived in 7 different houses during their life time and they never had a problem.

We are having to move in with family for the forseable future and need to rehome them asap as we cant take them with us, and we have tried everyway of keeping them but we cant. i desperatly want them to go to a good home so any takers please reply on this thread, thank you
x

I thought that was why those charities were there - for re-homing? What did they say.

We are mad about animals in this house, in fact a bit overrun with them but I'm sure you will find someone to help

thewiltedrose · 17/06/2008 17:15

Aww id love to get cats i live in bilston but i dont really know much about keeping them and im afriad they would jump over next door and get eaten by there dogs

Otherwise id be there like a shot!

idontbelieveit · 17/06/2008 17:21

Hi my aunt works for cats protection in wolves. If you don't have any luck in the next couple of days i could ask her what they can do?

BabyDubsEverywhere · 17/06/2008 17:33

have been told that cats pro are not taking in cats at the mo
and rspca have said that their people are bringing in to many..

Bump for you - I adopted two cats (Ronnie and Charlie) from a mner nearly four years ago and they're both still strong and healthy and have given us much pleasure. I hope someone can help you out.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 17/06/2008 18:29

can you really not take them where you are going with family? they are part of your family, so how can you bring yourself to part with what sound like perfect, lovely undemanding, problem-free kitties?

I would never part with my pets, they are my life (oh and my kids too )

nappyaddict · 18/06/2008 02:35

i might be able to help ... will have to ask my mum

BabyDubsEverywhere · 18/06/2008 20:00

hey there, manic day first chance ive had to reply properly.

They are fantastic cats, i do love them dearly and i dont want to part with them, it really is braking my heart. We are moving in with partners family, his nan to be exact. she has a lot of health problems already and is extremely allergic to cats. she also has a dog which wouldnt go down welll with them. were moving in with her for mutual benefit, one to help take care of her as i dont work and can be there with her and two because we just cant aff9ord to run our own home anymore, we have been living on the bread line for a while now and its just too stressful.

I really appreciate all the comments, my little pudding, nappy addict, i really appreciate you asking around for me, ill try and upload some pictures to my file for you to take a look at.

Thanks all.

would you definitely want them to stay together?

zephyrcat · 18/06/2008 21:06

Hi there, I can't help as such, but just wanted to tell you that I was in the same situation a couple of years ago and had to give up dd's first cats at a about a year because we were moving. A wonderful MN'er took them on for us and it means we can still get to find out how they are doing and see pics of them etc. We are now a bit more settled and have two new cats!

BabyDubsEverywhere · 18/06/2008 22:58

I would really prefer them to be together, they have been since birth and they pine for each other when seperated.

Zephyrcat, thanks for that, im hoping for the same success as you, its so hard though, they have been my babies for 3.5 years I', really finding it hard! what i really need is for somebody to rent them for a couple of years then give them back when we sorted! how likely is that though eh!

oh yes i hadn't thought of that. we have 2 other cats. my cats are fine with other cats and are really friendly dopey

BabyDubsEverywhere · 20/06/2008 20:53

Hi all sorry i havent kept up with posting but ds been playing velcro baby with mommy and i havent had 5 mins to get on here.

Ive added two pics to my profile, took bloody ages with this crappy 3 mobile modem thingy so i hope it has worked. Charlies eyes are normally much rounder than on the photot, think he had just woken up at the time bless him!

please show them round if you could, i really am hoping for some success here as nothing in RL seems to be working, oh and dp came home with redundancy news today so the 'move' is looking closer and closer, what do i do if we run out of time and nobody wants them? this is such a mess, you know when it dosent rain it pours - well its pissin down in walsall!
