Hi all
Hope this is okay to do, im still quite new on here. I'm very so sad to be posting this but im at a loss as to what else to do. I have to rehome my two beautifully, perfect pussy cats. I have tried putting notices up in post offices etc, no luck, Ive tried calling the rspca but they put the phone down on me, I've asked everybody I know, but nobody seems to want cats at the moment! I cant understand why, I love them dearly they have been an absolute pleasure and I'm gutted its come to this. If anybody knows of anybody who would be able to give them a good home then please respond on this thread, I can deliver in the midlands area or they can be picked up anytime. (I'm in Walsall, in the west midlands)

2, 3 year old cats, will be 4 in september. 1 white male with david bowie eyes called Charlie, and 1 black and white female called Lucy. they are domestic short hair crossed with a part persian and are stunning with thick midlength hair. they are brother and sister from the same litter, very fit and healthy. they are completely litter trained and never have accidents, they used to be indoor cats but now love going outside. they are up to date with all their jabs and have both been neutered. they are chipped and i have all the bits of paper from the vets to support this. They have beds, travel boxes, litter tray, bowls, toys, blankets, brushes all ready to go with them. I am the only owner they have had and i have loved them to bits which shows in their nature, they are really easy going and love some fuss but are quite happy to amuse themselves when needed, they really are people cats and love playing. they never had problems with kids, they do tend to stay away from noisy ones mind. they adapt really well to change, we have lived in 7 different houses during their life time and they never had a problem.

We are having to move in with family for the forseable future and need to rehome them asap as we cant take them with us, and we have tried everyway of keeping them but we cant. i desperatly want them to go to a good home so any takers please reply on this thread, thank you
x

no not at all -

they will never be homeless kittys, we will keep them until we find a home for them, did try rspca and cattarys etc but they were no help, and after thinking about it and looking at them longingly, i dont want them in a rescue centre, have defo decided i will rehome them, with people not a cage! We did do internet ad to go in the paper but just (as in hour ago) found out for some reason that hasnt worked so was going to try again in a mo, and have got all i know spreading the word.

please dont feel like you need to take them, only do so if you firstly like the look/ sound of them, and then secondly, if they actually fit in with your life now. Id never leave them, or refuse to take them back if it didnt work out. They are so important to us and we want them to be happy.

There's no date they have to go by, sooner the better for my state of mind at the moment, feel in such limbo with them everytime i look at them im racked with guilt. sorry i cant be more useful with how they would be with other pets, its not come up yet really, although my mom looked after them for a while when we were moving once and she was also feeding a stray which was there alot. Mine weren't botherd by it and vise versa, all three seemed to get on, but that has been the only time. we wont be starting moving until after they have gone, so if you - or somebody else for that matter - wanted a trial run with them for a day or two, or week or two, that would be fione, like i said we would happily take them back if it didnt work out for everyone, i want them to be happy most of all so will be very flexible.

sorry didnt reply quick enough, i had them when they were 4 weeks old, saw them in a pet shop was outraged at heir age paid over the odds and rushed them to the vets, they both chipped, vacinated and neuterd. to be honest i have spent thousands of cash i dont have since when they were little as they left their mom far too young, lots of stomach upsets to start with as guts immature for food pet shop gave them, spent a few weeks feeding them medi-milk with a syringe, worth it though as they have grown into healthy strong beautiful ctas, no worries since 1st year of their life, they 4 in september by the way

no there isnt, to be honest as we know thi shas to happen we have been talking ourselves into it focusing on the good point of them not being with us, have a 9month old baby already so we dont spend the time ion them we did before baby which make me feel eternally guilty anyway, we were told we wouldnt be able to have kids, so they became our babies, them much longed for - but given up hope for ds 1 appeard! they have taken a back seat and i feel so sorry for them, then 1 baby turns to two - due november, and oh my god cant believe how lucky we are, - but that will be even less time for the cats, feel so bad about it but atleast somebody else will prob spend more time with them, and not have the guilt attatched that i do for not spending as much time with them as i used to. god thats long, no wonder everybody disapears off my threads!

We are going to camperjam tomorrow if the weather isnt tooo bad, will be home after 5pm, is that anygud?

~Ive just emailed you njm,

ps whispy, i could do with some malted milks right about now - pregnant lady here - that should win the first offer of biccies surely!

OP posts:
whispywhisp · 21/06/2008 21:48

Baby...now do you want the Malted Milks with chocolate coating on the top version or the plain ones? The choccie ones are particularly good for dunking y'know!

whispywhisp · 21/06/2008 21:49

NJM - email me your address then NOW and I'll see what I can do.....if you don't email it to me I will bribe Baby with some Malted Milks and she'll give it to me!

BabyDubsEverywhere · 21/06/2008 21:52

its true, i can be bribed with malted milks - they dont even need the chocolate coating,

(baby goes to cry in the corner over being so weak willed with malted milks)

OP posts:
whispywhisp · 21/06/2008 21:57

I can remember having Malted Milks when I was a kid....yes, many many years ago. I'm sure we used to get pictures of different animals on them then...not just the cow pictures you get these days. My DH's fave biscuit is MM too. He likes the choccie ones but they are so expensive and he'd eat a whole packet in one sitting - what a waste of money?

whispywhisp · 21/06/2008 21:58

Right...I'm heading off for the land of nod. I hope tomorrow goes ok for you both Baby and NJM. Good luck. I'm now going off to bed to dream about Malted Milks and Chocolate Digestives - the dark choccie version.

Nightie night. xxxxxxx
