My cat has been ripped to pieces by dogs

My beautiful 25 month old Norwegian Forest Cat - Blossom, was mauled to death by dogs on Tuesday night.

We didn't find her body until yesterday. To say I am fucking heartbroken is the understatement of the century.

No real reason for posting. Am sat here in tears and not sure what else to do.

She was my cat - so faithful and gentle. I can't believe how sad I am.

Next door neighbour heard a commotion outside on Tuesday night and saw it happen but didn't know whose cat it was so only told us yesterday when we were going door to door looking for her.

oh dejags it is so awful when a pet dies.

On a practical note, should you phone the police? Doesn't this come under the dangerous dogs act?

You poor thing, I can imagine how heartbroken you are. It does beg the question how did the dogs get to your cat? Were they wandering around outside on their own? Where were the owners?

I have two dogs, and they are great with cats as we have one ourselves. Yesterday coming back from a walk they both walked right past a cat and just gave it a sidelong glance. I'm very glad for the fact they they are dogs who would never do that to a cat.

It will take time for you to get over this, it's a horrible thing to have happened.
