Also this is being done under Wes Streeting watch. He could stop it. He, despite admitting his own misgivings, isnt. If it goes ahead it should bear his name, the Streeting Trial of puberty blockers on Children.

If the trial goes ahead has there been an assessment of the potential costs for compensation to victims who decide, once they reach adulthood, that they were unable to give informed consent?

This really needs to be put alongside the costs of the trial.

Children can’t consent to this, and it goes against the principle of “first do no harm”. When I signed it was a little below 13000. Since then it has rocketed up quite dramatically. Proof that people care about this!

It's back up to 4k+ signatures an hour now she's tweeted! 🥳 I said to DH earlier that I guessed she'd bide her time to post so it had the most impact on the number of people signing.
