No. Child sex education is vitally important. If you dont deem it suitable for your child, dont go. No where in the description does it state they will force 5 year olds to watch masturbation. It wouldnt have been allowed to be viewed for children if deemed pornographic. As I said its a theatre show, its not compulsory.
I worked with child sex abuse victims as a psychiatric nurse, as well as with adult survivors. Young children just need to be taught about setting boundaries around their bodies and on touch. It is very simple and they do not need to know anything about sex in order for you to be able to help them do so! I have worked with a fair few children on this and also did so with my own son when he was small! When I was small my own DM did so in her own way too; it was more intuitive on her part, she was not an educated person, but she was copped-on and it helped me very well to set boundaries on my body and on touch and ALL without knowing anything about sex! My innocence was protected as well as my body and mind, and I did the same for my own DS!
When children are approaching puberty, then is the time to very carefully start teaching them, preferrably lead by parents or at least with their INFORMED consent, about how babies grow in their mothers' wombs and then, when they're that bit older, how they are conceived i.e. by a man and woman who love each other very much (and when I was taught this at a Catholic junior school in the early 70s, are married to each other and want to have children). That is usually enough to satisfy their curiosity and if you as a parent have done the safeguarding with them when they were small, about setting boundaries on who sees and/or touches them, how and when and how mum or a lady nurse should always be present, they are well able to say NO or to tell mum or a trusted adult if anything untoward is done to them!
Kid's especially very small kids, do NOT ever need to see naked adults, strange naked adults, showing and pointing out their genitals and this so called "Family" show does do that!
You are beyond wrong! Shame on you!
