AIBU to think some MNers are gits?

Ha! Got your attention. Pretty much the only way I could get people to find the way to this hidden topic of mystery, the petitions and online campaigns topic.

This year I spent 3 months in a psychiatric hospital. It was incredibly shit for a whole raft of reasons from being horrendously ill, right through to the utterly vile crap they served as food. The worst bit, though, was the impact it had on my children. They really, really suffered. The only thing that made it better for them was that I was close by.

They've now closed the hospital to women. Just women. Not men, they still get local care, but if I got ill now I'd be shipped off an hours drive away from where I live.

So a few of the women where I live have started a campaign. We've been doing pretty well, but we need more support.

If you can spare a moment of your time to sign our petition, we'd be grateful. It's here - www.change.org/p/lancashire-care-nhs-foundation-trust-return-local-inpatient-care-to-the-women-of-north-lancashire

I'm posting this in my usual posting name so I don't get accused of being a fricking spammer again.

MWAH xx

Oh, quite soon then, good.

I fear you may have to listen to a load of managementspeak and evasion.

I would lose my temper Blush

FX for Monday, and the very best of luck.

Right, the meeting is on with the Trust. 1.30pm on Monday.

They're sending in some high up people. This is good, but yes we expect more of the same.

They have a slight advantage as they've seen all of our arguments and comments on the blog, so are able to prepare. I still think they're going to be given a hard time by the campaign reps. Grin

keema Have you seen the Trust's equalities impact assessment regarding this decision? They need to have done one by law, and it ought to be challengeable.

LineRunner, they've replied to say that because it's "temporary" they didn't have to do a EIA. We've had the FOI back that says the change is to manage "longer term pressures". That doesn't sound very temporary to me.

If I can get some more names on the petition between now and when I print it out on Monday morning, I will be a very happy woman indeed!

Seems, I think that that isn't right, what they are saying about not needing a EIA. I would push them on that and threaten a formal complaint and Ombudsman route (all free to do).
