Is it okay for me to start a second thread of the highly entertaining viscous attack? Couldn’t see a sequel and don’t want to step foot on anyone’s toes

That's what absolutely horrified me! Imagine spending all your day surrounded by books (bliss) and still being so ignorant.
I thought about offering to rewrite the sign, but the anger was escalating and I had a young child, so I left

Sometimes the compulsion to point out the error is overwhelming. Yes to work in a library must be bliss.

K9 is a recognised abbreviation used by Law Enforcement and Military. I’m hoping a civilian didn’t think that’s how it was spelled though 🦮

Oh no, this was someone who thought the word "canine" was spelt K9. I know it's often spelt like that as a little joke but from the context this made no sense.

I saw that one, and wanted to point out that as a TA she should know better.

She should, really. I thought it was perhaps a typo, and gave her the benefit of the doubt, but she repeats it in the post.

... is what baffles me most about apostrophe errors. Why not CAKE'S AND INSULT'S? Is there some arcane set of Incorrect Apostrophe Placement Rules known only to the semi-literate??
